There was no story that Shane could put together, that would work. Not with Team Darryl/Glenn. They pieced out what happened out in the woods

Yeah I'm betting Hershel and Maggie are the only farm survivors

And then I'll bet T-Dawg and Sophia's mom get gutted too.

Gotta condense dat cast for season 3

There will certainly be new cast members at some point, so got to throw out some dead weight.

...

No pun intended.

Was also glad that Glenn redeemed himself in his own eyes by killing that walker. Hopefully now he can go back and bone that farmer's daughter again.

"Due to the intense nature of the season finale, this is the only sneak peek that will be released prior to the premiere."

All you morbid-loving fucks are gonna get more than you can handle next Sunday. lol

Awesome episode. The dead people = zombie thing was done very well, especially after the setup with the dead cops in previous episode.

What the fuck is wrong with Laurie? She's already the worst character this season, and then she sets Shane off with the "you know, it might actually be your baby lol" after telling Rick the exact opposite and warning him that Shane was an opportunistic murdering sociopath who was obsessed with her. She's a walking idiot ball.

Lol @ Bernthal's (Shane) interview

I came into work while they were shooting the next episode and I walked out onto the set and I saw the cast and the crew and everybody was working, and I realized I’m no longer a part of it. And I really didn’t know what to do. This was my show! These are all my friends, my family. And so what I did was I actually went out into the woods and I hid and I watched them shoot for about two-and-a-half-hours, and I was just sitting there. I sound like the biggest weirdo in the world, but I didn’t say goodbye.

Lol @ Bernthal's (Shane) interview

sounds just as crazy as shane

edit:

Also did anyone lol when one of the characters (can't remember who it was) was remembering Dale, and was like "And then he'd give you that face he always makes....you've all seen it". I couldn't help but think of Daleface

I don't see Hershel surviving. I want him to, but I doubt it will happen. Because then they can have Maggie join the group and it will be all emotional. He'll go down with the farm like a boss. Ditto for the rest of his two-dimensional family.

Unfortunately, I think T-Dog's days are numbered, too. This show has done a poor job of fleshing out any of the non-comic characters aside from Daryl, but it's done a great job of killing said characters off without any fanfare. At least he got more lines this episode than the rest of the season, lolz.

I doubt it since Dale was apparently shot in the head.

EDIT: By Daryl

Nah, they shot him in the head.

Ah, yeah. I realized that right after posting. I just want more Dale :(

What the fuck is wrong with Laurie? She's already the worst character this season, and then she sets Shane off with the "you know, it might actually be your baby lol" after telling Rick the exact opposite and warning him that Shane was an optimistic murdering sociopath who was obsessed with her. She's a walking idiot ball.

Seriously. I am so sick of her. She doesn't watch her kid during the apocalypse. She doesn't do much of anything except fuck things up by doing stupid things and saying stupid things at the wrong time.

Great episode.

I guess the obvious answer is that they're all already infected and the virus was airborne. The fever must be the real thing that is spread through the bites.

The thought crossed my mind that Shane could kill Rick on this little trip, but I didn't think they would go there yet. It's only S2 afterall. Plus, they just killed Dale last episode.

Next episode looks like an all out zombie war. I can't wait.

I'm not the only one who thinks Lori set this shit into motion when she decided to sit Shane down and lead him on again right? wtf is wrong with that woman??? Desperate for attention and conflict.

I'm hoping sophia's mom gets out alive
i only to get her weird threesome/triad suggestion episode
Dead people:
I say we probably see Hershel, His no-name family members and T-Dog get bit.

Maggie, Andrea, Carl, Lori, Rick, Daryl and Sophia's mom level up.

As long as Rick, Daryl, Glenn, Carl (can't believe I'm saying this), and Maggie make it through the season finale, I'll be a happy fan.

I love Herschel, but the whole "This is my farm and I'll fight to the death to defend it" line almost gives his fate away already. :(

Lol, I swear I thought the exact same thing as I was watching. Just weird and out of the blue how she apologized to Shane and felt bad for him. Great episode regardless!

So now we are seemingly led to believe that when you die... you're a walker. :0

Great stuff tonight. Seeing people start to realize the magnitude of the situation (and potentially leading to one of my favorite Rick moments from the comics) was great. The last few minutes in particular were very well done.

It's all because of the fantastic cinematography.

I noticed this as well and was impressed, it was noticeably a step up from before.

Long live the Glen Mazzara era of Walking Dead.

The show has really picked up since he took charge. I'm curious to see how a full season from him will play out, if this is what he can do with the remnants from Darabont.

Dunno. I think Herschel falling apart and dealing with more deaths of loved ones will be too much to give up, thematically. I think he'll make it.

Also, really getting jazzed for Season 3. Looking back, Mazzara was clearly cleaning up the lay of the land for how he wanted to do it, and removing the Darabont influences (good or bad). Finale feels like the first episode he is truly behind all of, and its looking fantastic from where I'm sitting.

And Glenn?

I'm pretty sure Daryl will save Carol next week, and strengthen their budding relationship. (Though it would cooler of Carol saved Daryl instead.)

We starting shooting again in May, with the show returning in October. That's the yearly plan.

So glad everyone loved the episode! Next episode is truly epic!

Please tell me the writing stays on this level, please. This episode was above George Lucas level that I had tears in my eyes from the action. TEARS!
Okay, hyperbole aside, still awesome writing compared to the episodes before it
