No real source just some guy at TexansTalk.
Cutting DeMeco is another WHOA WTF!!! Jacoby......well bye.
More Linebackers in the FA pool? What a wet dream! (that will probably turn into a nightmare as Detroit does nothing)

I'm almost certain Peyton said he would put something in place so that if he was injured it would not end up biting the team in the ass financially for the gamble they are taking.
Why not? We are cutting most our team lets start cutting players from other teams as well!
Rodgers....you're next!

I wouldn't do that quite yet. You have receivers. I watched Yates (UNC fan) all though college and last season, and I wouldn't be sold on him as anything other than a really good back up. JMHO
the problem is it's more than a money issue. any team who gets them is basically going to get rid of whoever their starting QB is now and have a young/inexperienced guy behind peyton. what if peyton gets hurt and doesn't work out? now you have nothing behind him.
not trying to be overly negative on manning but we've just been burned by signing veteran guys with injury problems and then it leaves us with nothing when they go down (braylon edwards last year, for instance)
We have AJ. What WR's? We have a bunch of TE'S and GOD like HB that can catch. Walter randomly showed up last year.
It's about having a jumpball, quick slant target in the redzone.
I guess people don't realize how much Akers field goal record depended upon the Niners struggle in the red zone.

That's the risk you take. Either have to count on the inexperienced backup or find a stopgap if things go bad. It's no different than if Smith got hurt.
it's hard to win a superbowl with anyone. marino got to a superbowl once and he is one of the greatest QB's in history. alex smith was a lot closer to a superbowl this year than phillip rivers, ben roofles, mike vick and all the rest of the superstar QB's
That is the NFL. Just like with a dude's penis it is a game of inches. .
Don't ever compare Alex to Ben. He has been to 3 Superbowls, won 2 and is tied with Eli Manning as the most clutch qb in the league. He is also without a doubt the toughest as well.
I think we make it to the Superbowl if Ben and Woodley are not hurt. There were no good teams (Packers were the closest thing but they were only good at offense and shit at everything else). We were a horrible matchup for the Pats and the Ravens would have found a way to give us a game in the playoffs. Not sure if we beat the Giants though. Probably comes down to whoever got the ball last.
That is the NFL. Just like with a dude's penis it is a game of inches. An inch here or there is a game changer. Remember that it took the greatest 4th quarter comeback of all time by Vick for the Pack just to get in and then they were unbeatable.
Healthy Texans would have been a challenge for your precious Steelers in the playoffs. Foster would have ran all over them...again
Stupid ass Jacoby...sigh Ravens game.... FUCKING CUT HIM NOW
Yeah that is true. You guys dominated us when we were both healthy. I change my pick to the should have won the AFC Chanpionship to the Texans! Enjoy it my friend. Your stacked but frail team can put that award next to all of their other ones!

Just wondering, do Steelers fans consider that to be their worst playoff loss in history in terms of embarrassment? I'm sure there have been much more painful losses where expectations were higher with no injuries etc. I was stunned to see the Steelers d, especially Polamolu/secondary getting all turned around and confused by Tebow like that.

Nothing was worse than losing to Stan Humphries and those dopey Chargers in '94. Will forever be the worst Steeler playoff loss in my my life. I mean, Alfred Pupunu for god sakes, Alfred Pupunu!!
at least you were spared the embarrassment of the niners absolutely destroying you in the superbowl
Perhaps, good thing we were gifted the ass end of your shitty dynasty. Here's to watching Alex Smith derp your chances away.

You're welcome...otherwise, it would have been since the freakin 80s since the Whiners won anything substantial.
Someone signed Moss? I miss a day and this is what happens?
https://twitter.com/#!/PriscoCBS/status/179405440491335681The word I hear tonight from one league exec is he thinks Manning, Wayne and Clark all might be going to Denver
guess a superbowl isn't winning anything then!
bah i misread which of my comments you quoted! we would have obliterated you in the superbowl. your 90's teams were so horrible. the only reason you made it to a superbowl is because the AFC was historically bad in the 90's. just pathetic

What the fuck? I need to go back a few pages, I guess. You also missed BaltimoreLarry posting a picture of his shit (yes his shit) and being banned.

The only reason your shitty team made it was because you rented Sanders for one season to carry Young's overrated ass into the title game! Which only happened because your shady owner cheated the cap!
Evidence has been nuked.
In honor of Larry, I'm going to imagine a large, depressing shit.Evidence has been nuked.
What about my BOY Natrone Means business out of UNC.
the only "overrated" hall of famer is that fucking knucklehead terry bradshaw. deion sanders just rode the niners to his first title, that's all. we didn't need him! in the superbowl (or as some people called it back then, the NFC Championship game) against the cowboys, it was eric davis who shut down michael irvin, not deion.
1994 49ers were one of the greatest teams of the generation and one of the greatest offenses in nfl history!
So Arizona is the only team that is going to make strides this year? Sound logic, man.
The 49ers will have at least 3 more wins than the Cards next year, I guarantee you that.
no shame in being excited about your team! as for your last game against us, you squeaked out a 2 point win when everything imaginable went your way (including probably the most ridiculous "replay challenge" explanation in NFL history) at home.
reminds me of when we fucking crushed you in san fran at the end of the 2008 season and i thought we were a lock for the division next year. we were well on our way until favre daggered us
i'll stop trolling for a minute and say the truth is no one is a lock in this league. i would have never guessed that teams like the bengals, texans, lions or broncos would've been playoff teams last year. every team is so close to each other and most games come down to a handful of plays that make the difference. and because of that, most SEASONS really can come down to a handful of plays which has you with a winning record and in the playoffs or a losing record and out of the playoffs
In honor of Larry, I'm going to imagine a large, depressing shit.
Not at all. I just am not a believer of Alex Smith and think the only way in hell you could have growth in offense, your weakness, is if you grabbed some nice WR's. Even then, Smith may not be able to do much more than he has. He's had plenty of seasons to develop and grow and hasn't. Now Harbraugh may be able to pull a rabbit out of his hate, maybe it really is just the coaching, but I'm not going to be convinced you'll grow unless I see it. There's nothing to support it at this point. It's laughable that you "guarantee" that you have 3 more wins. You aren't getting to 13 again man.
Yeah man, you never can really tell and last season proved it with so many teams under performing and some successful surprises like the Niners. Hell, who thought the Cards would turn it around after a 1-6 start and break even? If I stop messing with you for a minute, I honestly feel that you guys will get 10-11 wins this season. Considering how bad we started and how much better our D got at the end, I have to think we can do better this season and we ended at 8 last time. I really need to see how both teams do in FA and draft before I can try to truly project things but I expect both teams to play well and make the NFC West a more respectable division.
the best thing that came out of the NFC West last year is that we are a pretty good division. outside of the rams, all 3 teams were able to go toe to toe with some of the leagues best teams and i don't think you can say the NFC West is the worst division in the league anymore
