And then there is the ending which answers nothing.
It's badly written, sure, but it does tie everything up. It explains the Reapers. There's a difference between not making sense and not answering anything.
And then there is the ending which answers nothing.
But there's no difference for someone with no previous ME saves..which is kinda disappointing
I've heard that Assets carry over to new game plus.
nah, if you had me1 save, the rachni works for you (although you never see it) while if you didn't have a save they betray you (or so people say)
That Indoctrination Theory is all sorts of awesome.
I did the paragon ending and I gotta say, I loved it. Incredible ending. I'm interested to see the others
I love how all the choices had good and bad outcomes. Perfect.
I'm surprised BioWare didn't go with the dark energy thing. It's still fairly baseless, but works better than the synthesis theme, and was at the very least established in the previous game. Portraying the Reapers as desperate 'problem solvers' would have been nice, and the 'galaxy trying to solve the dark energy problem, reapers destroyed' would have laid foundations for the rest of the franchise.
I blame Walters, because I like blaming him for everything.
I would also like to know this.what paragon ending?
He said numbers because what the choice effects are assets. Sparing the real Rachni queen (yeah, I'm annoyed enough with this cop out to refer to them as "real" and "fake") will increase war assets as the Rachni help in development of the Crucible, whereas the fake Rachni queen is indoctrinated, will start attacking the Alliance, and need to be put down, thus lowering the number. But there's no difference for someone with no previous ME saves..which is kinda disappointing
Enough people are saying they will buy DLC that replaces the ending, but this may be a case where the silent majority DOESN'T agree. Nevermind the people uninterested in ME being angry at how it could effect the rest of the industry.I don´t think Bioware can pull "this was just a dream" argument, mainly because if the "true" ending is coming in some form of DLC, the fan outcry would make this ending rage look like a small bump in the road.
"Pay for DLC to get the true ending", how fucked up would that be? to ship an incomplete game and then force the players to pay more to finish it.
I don´t believe it is at all possible.

I think he means control. You sacrifice yourself to control the Reapers and they leave, leaving the rest of the galaxy alone. Nobody else dies. I'm just saying this because it's the 'blue'-colored one, though.

The only one you get the "Shep is alive" ending is the destroy ending tho.
Yeah, but I don't think that's what he means with a 'Paragon'-ending. Shep selflessly sacrifices himself to stop the Reapers, and only himself. In the Destroy-ending he potentially dies, but sacrifices the geth and every other synthetic life form in the galaxy to stop the Reapers. That feels more Renegade to me.
I think none of the 3 choices is inherently good or evil, then again i think the ending was pulled out of someone´s ass with an emergency induction port![]()
If you killed the queen (which is default for if you didn't import that decision), they also get into a spiel about how the reapers created it and it being a false queen iirc. But yeah, there's no functional difference. But there's no difference for someone with no previous ME saves..which is kinda disappointing
whoever wrote the ending(s) of this game is the kind of person who thinks the series finale of Battlestar Galactica was genius.
Probably, but I can't help but feel there's a reason Shepard is still alive in the Destroy ending. No fucking way Shepard could have survived a fall from that height.
I'm probably being overly-optimistic, which is odd since I'm normally a pessimist, but I have a feeling there's more to the ending (or will be... maybe) than I first thought.

You know, I didnt read much about ME3 before playing it, so I didn't really know much of the features in the game.
Needless to say, the ending was a huge dissappointment. First of all, when introduced to 'War Assets' I was thinking, oh cool, this will be like in ME3 where the upgrades you buy for the Normandy will have an effect in the final battle. I had hoped that some of the assets that you find, mostly for the Citadel, would actually be referenced in at least in a cutscene during the final battle.
And then there is the ending which answers nothing. What a pile of crap.
Who says he fell? Maybe he's still in orbit on the citadel wreck.
Drunk Tali is best Tali.
For...many reasons.
Since when is the Citadel made of stone? It looks very much like he's stuck in London at the end there.
They ARE referenced in the cutscenes. The major groups you grabbed are all there in that final awesome space battle. There are a great many ending haters that just didn't seem to pay attention for the last 30 minutes.
S/he was on a part of the Citidel they didn't recognize brah, you know, the stone part.
So that's where Vent God was hiding all those years.
EDIT: Hahaha, holy shit, you can buy equipment packs with MS points in this game? Are you fucking kidding me? :lol

"Here's to Miranda."
"You geneticially modified, Cerberus cheerleader bosh'tet, Keelah se'lai."
Her drunk call to Javik's also hilarious.
I consider dead tali to be best tali. Legion and the Geth are far more interesting anyways![]()

Welcome to the microtransaction future. Besides its not that big of a deal since its not competitive. Not even score since everyone gets the same experience total.
Do people buy them? You can easily get 2 Veteran Packs in one silver game.So that's where Vent God was hiding all those years.

But in all endings the Mass Relays get destroyed.
What's a good level to jump from Bronze->Silver?Do people buy them? You can easily get 2 Veteran Packs in one silver game.

If it's indoctrination/hallucination, then no - they weren't destroyed. That is the beauty of that theory: it's entirely possible that the destruction of the relays is a fabrication of Shepard's thoughts, an imagined scenario based on what the Catalyst tells him/her (but as I've said before, why are we so inclined to believe the Catalyst?).
I know it's more fun to shit on Bioware, and surely some of their decisions deserve it, but for those who want to keep the game based in literal-mindedness, the indoctrination/dream idea is the only one that makes sense. If it's indoctrination, then there is nothing philosophical going on, it is simply Harbinger manipulating a battered Shepard's mental insecurities. It's no different, really, from the mental degradation efforts seen in ME1 or ME2, only that here we receive a change in perspective: the process is first-hand, rather than something merely communicated to us.
None of the endings were quite happy but the indoctrination theory is the most depressing one of all
