Sorry to go a little ot, but since you have the Rodgers avatar I'll ask...Why was all he up on twitter, vehemently defending Ryan Braun?

Completely agree. Man I can't wait for the season to come! At least FA starts tomorrow! Oh, Happy Belated Birthday! Saw your pics.

thanks bruh! played some darts with the kyle williams dart board at work. no one could hit his disgusting fucking face in the center but i did get one of his knees off to the side!

the best thing that came out of the NFC West last year is that we are a pretty good division. outside of the rams, all 3 teams were able to go toe to toe with some of the leagues best teams and i don't think you can say the NFC West is the worst division in the league anymore
So magnanimous when the 49ers are on top. :/

Don't ever compare Alex to Ben. He has been to 3 Superbowls, won 2 and is tied with Eli Manning as the most clutch qb in the league. He is also without a doubt the toughest as well.

I think we make it to the Superbowl if Ben and Woodley are not hurt. There were no good teams (Packers were the closest thing but they were only good at offense and shit at everything else). We were a horrible matchup for the Pats and the Ravens would have found a way to give us a game in the playoffs. Not sure if we beat the Giants though. Probably comes down to whoever got the ball last.

That is the NFL. Just like with a dude's penis it is a game of inches. An inch here or there is a game changer. Remember that it took the greatest 4th quarter comeback of all time by Vick for the Pack just to get in and then they were unbeatable.

You can't credit Ben with winning that 1st Super Bowl. That was the refs and the Stealers D.

Roofies was 9/21 with no TDs and averaged under 6 ypa in that game. They won in spite of him not because of him.

Robert Mathis must be super depressed that Winston got cut. I love that the Houston media is all indignant he got cut. Of course they are. He was a great quote and was eager to give them background material. I think that probably had a little to do with it as well.
Great run blocker but struggled in pass protection. Replaceable

They absolutely need to lock up Myers and Brown. The rest of the OL will always have to be pieced together. You can't commit so much money to one position group

Don't know why they haven't cut Jacoby and DeMeco. $5m of easily replaceable, though Ryans has always been a good guy and redid his contract last year to help bring in JJ and Manning. Always have to be careful and avoid a toxic locker room like Philly had

What are you talking about?

I just heard on the radio that the Eagles are close to signing Dan conner. What does Panthers-GAF think of him?

More Linebackers in the FA pool? What a wet dream! (that will probably turn into a nightmare as Detroit does nothing)

Suh, Burleson, and Stafford all restructured contracts yesterday and should end up giving the team more than 15 million in cap space to sign CJ long-term and try to get Tulloch back.

Also, can some of you guys start lobbying your teams to pay huge money for Mario Williams? I don't want to see him ending up on the Bears. That would be chaos.

Adam Caplan said yesterday that he has heard that Tulloch wants at least $7 million per season on a multi-year deal. I wonder if any team will give him that.

Wow at these rumors that they are cutting Ryans now...

Sucks to see these great Texan veterans go but I guess that's how it is :(

PFT suggesting Mario will get ~50mil guaranteed with whomever he signs with (WTF?!)

I do like how the media has turned into a sweatshop of inventing stories about him, Peypey and Flynn though.

YES! Thank you. The one signing I really wanted the Giants to make as far as "in house" players.

@AdamSchefter: One less CB on the market: New York Giants reached agreement with cornerback Terrell Thomas.

Now get Cruz extended and I'll be content with relaxing until the draft.

Patriots could use their second-round pick on Danny Amendola

Brandon Lloyd may not be the only receiver from the Rams whom the Patriots are targeting in free agency.

Tom Curran of CSNNE.com explores the possibility that the Patriots could have an eye on Danny Amendola, a restricted free agent whom the Rams tendered at the second-round level.

If the Patriots are interested, they’d need to sign Amendola to an offer sheet and then, if the Rams chose not to match the offer, ship a second-round draft pick to St. Louis. That may seem like too steep a price for Amendola, who was lost for the season with a Week One elbow injury last year, but maybe it wouldn’t be: Although he didn’t get a lot of attention on a bad Rams team, Amendola was a solid possession receiver who caught 85 passes in 2010.

There are a lot of similarities between Amendola and Wes Welker, and the Patriots could see the 26-year-old Amendola as Welker’s heir apparent in their passing game. Signing Amendola could make the Patriots feel more comfortable about merely keeping Welker on his one-year franchise tender, rather than signing him to a more costly long-term contract.

A second-round pick is a high price to pay, but if Amendola could be anywhere near the receiver in the Patriots’ offense that Welker has been, it would be a great deal.

He'll get it--not from Detroit, but he'll get it.

Did not want to lose him; hope his knee is in good shape!
Reports are he's far ahead of schedule on his rehab and will be ready for training camp.

Signing him makes the departure of Aaron Ross all but a sure thing as well. Which I'm fine with. Get some of the younger CB's we had last season signed to minimum deals (Justin Tryon, Brian Weatherspoon and Michael Coe) alongside with the Bruce Johnson signing and we'll have some pretty great depth coming into training camp when you add the Prince into the mix.

Corey Webster
Terrell Thomas
Prince Amukamara
Justin Tryon
Brian Weatherspoon

...is my guess on the eventual depth chart at CB.

Great news about Terrell Thomas, I was starting to get worried it wouldn't get done based on reports over the last few days.

I thought the Eagles might be in on him, but I really doubt it at that money.
Yeah, considering we're only like 9 mil under the cap as is, I'd say he's definitely not getting that deal from us... I've read we're interested in Connor, and I'm not too enthused about that either.

You get rid of Asante via trade and that clears another 9 million, no? What's the cap hit for cutting him outright?

Chicago radio is making it seem like Mario Williams to the Bears is a done deal. Should be interesting to see if it plays out that way at 3 p.m. today.

What's wrong with Connor? I literally know nothing about him. I just finished watch Caplan and Cosell break down the FA LBs and man this seems like a weak group. It sounds like Dunbar from the Saints is probably the best OLB available.

I hope he tanks like Haynesworth if that's the case. Stafford finally made it through one season without an injury. With Peppers and Williams on either side of the line that may not happen again.

The Baas restructure frees up about 1.5 million in cap space for the Giants who are apparently sitting at a little over 4.71 million in cap space without taking into account the T2 signing.

Need some Peyton Manning news... just decide already Peyton are you going to Denver or not.

Every talking head was saying how Peyton Manning hated playing in the cold and now he's considering Denver? Nothing makes sense any more.
