I'll be honest, I'm glad we didnt settle for Randy moss who might or might not have been motivated to play.
perhaps if the team provided some financial incentives for big plays?

Morris Claiborne?
"I know the Lions organization was talking about making a real run at Mario Williams," Schefter said on Mike & Mike Tuesday morning. "A lot of people are saying, 'Woah, the Lions? They don't have a lot of cap space.' This was pre-franchise tagging Cliff Avril, which they did. That takes them out of the Mario Williams market, but there was a lot of thought given in that organization to going after Mario Williams."

I understand the MSU hate because of the 3 straight beatings we administered to you this year, but why the Louisville hate? Is it because Pitino is a little bitch?
Sucks that Memphis got stuck with an 8 seed and a second round game with MSU...Memphis has the statistical profile of a 3-4 seed IIRC. I could see that game going either way.
Lol at the Lions considering making a run at Mario Williams before Cliff Avril. Gotta dump Vandenbosch first!
From Schefter on Mike and Mike this morning
IS THIS REAL LIFE?!
I don't know who this guy is and if hè really has 'sources' but OMG.
Dang at Terrell Thomas contract. Lot of money for a guy coming off a serious injury. I hope his knee isn't bad. :\
I think this eliminates the Giants from drafting corner in R1, or early on.
They could still easily drop the franchise tag on Avril if they got Williams, which they would have to do.
It's a remote possibility, but I don't see it happening. Williams will probably end up in Chi-town.
I went to Marquette and have tried at times to be a Marquette fan. It's tough and feels wrong, but as an alum I feel like I should try.
The initial number produces sticker shock, but the option out clause completely makes the deal for the Giants. Little risk outside of whatever guaranteed money he is due at the end of this season (it ain't 11 million either).LJ11 said:You really feel that's a lot of money? I think it's a great deal. If he's healthy it's a bargain, if not he's gone and you didn't really lose much. Great deal from my perspective.
I'll need to find the article but I remember reading snap count numbers and Canty is one of the highest on the defensive line (over 800 snaps if memory recalls for 2011).TheFrankman said:I think the Canty deal isn't that bad, I had read he was expecting 7 mil that year. Also the Giants have so many pass rushers he doesn't see the field as much. 6/42 with $17.25 million guaranteed doesn't sound like a big overpay.
RT @calvinwatkins: #Cowboys restructured Scandrick deal. $5.9 mil of his $7.1 mil 2012 base salry is signing bonus Scandrick base now $1.2
I dont expect anything really from the Patriots.
Lloyd is the only player I think they will go after. Other than that I'm just waiting to see what they do in the draft.
Lance Z saying the Bills are going hard after Mario. Hope they sign him, will appease most of the fools, they can then bitch about something else when the team doesn't win, because spending money recklessly will no longer be an excuse.
I don't know about "sure tackler". He is more of the type that loves to go for the kill shot all the time which can lead to missed tackles. His coverage is not always terrible, just inconsistent. There some are games where he gets burned regularly, and other games where he destroys recievers and totally intimidates them.I highly doubt this. Makes no sense with Trent Cole and Babin on the team and playing well. Where would he fit? As a LB in 4-3 scheme? Don't think so.
More credible are the rumors that the Eagles might pick up Landry. Redskins fans whats the word on him? All I know is that he is terrible in coverage but he can hit and is a sure tackler.

NFLN just said they were going to go after Jackson from SD.
The one player I really want is Vincent Jackson.
Yeah, got to get tickets sales up. A deep threat for a dink dunk offense, makes sense to me.
Yeah that is why I don't mind losing him. If it weren't for his health concerns I would prefer to resign him. He's also only played 17 games total the last two years.

Major scoopage! The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms of a trade w Miami for pro bowl WR Brandon Marshall in exchange for 2 third-rounders.
So good.I understand the MSU hate because of the 3 straight beatings we administered to you this year, but why the Louisville hate? Is it because Pitino is a little bitch?
What, why?please no Scott Wells signing, please no Scott Wells signing.....

As good as the Eagles last year?yankeehater said:Edit: Bears are going to be fucking good this year.
WTF? If I were the Eagles I would have given up a 2nd rounder and a 3rd for Marshall in a second.
Edit: Bears are going to be fucking good this year.
Wow. There's a trade.
I love free agency.
