This is literally the Nets' best offer. I don't think the Magic take that, and I don't think anyone blows up their roster to take Dwight as a rental.

Humphries has a no trade clause. He isn't going to the Magic.
 
The fact that Dwight wants to end up with Brooklyn is reason enough for me to not want him on my team. That is a decision totally unrelated to basketball. At least Lebron went where he thought he would win the most rings. The fact that Dwight would rather be in Jersey than Chi-town winning rings with Rose is really a shot to his against his character in my eyes.

Maybe he's convinced Deron is a better fit for his skills since he's a true PG?

If you're the Nets, why do you push for a trade (the Magic will almost assuredly ask for a 1st or two) if it means taking on Hedo's awful contract, knowing that Dwight wants to come anyway?
 
There's no way that Rose and Dwight wouldn't find a way to make each other better, talented as they are. Also, Rose isn't a selfish player. He just has no other reliable scoring option right now. Pau or Dwight would provide that.
 
Hopefully the Nets don't get carmello'd. He wants to be there, why gut the team.

Marshon Brooks looks like he can ball. I'm sure he'd be part of any trade discussion, why not hold on to him if you can instead of giving him up when Dwight will likely sign anyway in the off season?

Otis has 2 days to convince the magic? Seriously? Fricking seriously? If I'm Otis i've had enough. All this back and forth was undue harm to the fans and to the organization. I'm going down, soon enough management will look at all the dumb decisions i've made and clean up the mess.

This is very low. Dwight has a right to go anywhere he wants.

Edit: But just like cleveland, decided on leaning on the players loyalty to the city and bank on him instead of making tangible moves to keep him.

Dwight is just going to walk... there's no way he's coming to LA without committing long term.

and it would be moot if Dwight goes to the Nets and they blow up the team to get him.

if i were the magic... i'd do just that... trade him as a rental and let him hang himself in the media when he bolts for the Nets.

Lebron would look like a saint compared to Dwight at that point.
