are we going to debate this back and forth until someone finds the script to ME2 and starts doing direct quotes? I think people are surprised you're alive and working for Cerberus, and that people question whether or not Shepard is really Shepard or just a Cerberus ShepBot throughout the story, and that's the story I'm sticking to.

EDI for me was like the whole Data from Star Trek problem. The technology clearly exists, so why isn't the galaxy full of sexy super cyborgs running around.
EDI is the rogue VI from the moon in ME1. EVA is for lack of a better term, her sister. All synthetic life being killed, one would assume any tech would be affected.

Haha exactly what I was thinking the entire time. Good thing my GF was right behind me in the story, I forced her to bring him. Was awesome him telling Liara, "IT'S THE TRUTH! We were your gods!". Damn, that must be awkward...
Part reaper tech? Can't remember anything about that. She's just the Luna VI that got repoed by Cerberus.

Going back and reading a wiki, those comics (that introduced TIM, or Jack), he had 2 companions, a man and a woman. The woman's name was Eva Core'. The Eva "robot" on Mars, was called Dr. Eva Core. Another little connection.

They put indoctrination in the indoctrination so when Shep beats TIM's indoctrination he assumes he is safe and lets his guard down.
Yeah, the ending would have to be pretty fucking spectacular for me to have to overlook the fact that the ending wasn't included with the game. Whether or not it's free.
I think this just proves the Shepard is God theory because, like the Protheans, Shepard endowed the other species with synthetic abilities.

Eva is a Cerberus product though, specifically commissioned by TIM as a reaction against EDI going 'rogue.' The society at large doesn't seem to tolerate AIs, as seen by Joker hiding EDI's sentience later on.

People are surprised for a bit, but after that it's not really brought up again the implications are not explored at all. No one questions if Shepard is truly Shepard until the 3rd game. It's meaningless in ME2. I felt so bad choosing Jack over Liara.
Jack was hot and I loved the cut of her jib and I thought maybe I had gotten the fear of commitment out of her system. Then again, like Morrigan, I choose the hardcore chick over the sweet one and they basically say "hey, uh, you should probably forget about me" and "hey, don't die because I need to get laid".
Then you have that moment with Liara and she puts her head on your shoulder (maybe only if you previously romanced her) and I seriously felt a tug at the heart strings. My mouth went :/.
And I was seriously going to take him, but at the last second I decided "oh, well James hasn't been used since the first few missions, I should see what he does on a planet full of blue chicks". Worst mistake ever.
Oh well, I'm buying ME1 this weekend and finally starting a FemShep game to see how the superior voice actress works. And finally finishing the romance with Liara.

Hah I did the exact same thing only I broke it off with Jack in an attempt to try with Liara again. Didnt work out and my Shep ended up playing five finger shuffle.

2) Shep is TIM's dad - I'm sure someone was joking about that, but I spent quite a few nights going "what if they're NOT joking' and even during that last cut scene, I wondered if TIM would be like "I was created from a shard of reaper that was pulled from YOU. You are my father essentially!"
Yeah, Liara's "are we done?" moment comes before Jack's. I think Liara actually has two: one on Mars and one later on. Both come before you get the option to say "we're done here" to Jack. And I'm sure they do that on purpose.

I like how the cities on the arms of the Citadel appear to be functioning as usual during the confrontation with the Illusive Man. And when the Crucible goes off only the inner ring really explicitly explodes.
