Are you people crazy? Throw Holmgren out after 3 seasons?

So basically just continue the same cycle that Browns have had for the last 10 years, yup sounds like a winning strategy.

They're going to stick with him and see where he takes this team. It's going to be a very long process with how shit the Browns are in a very highly skilled AFC North.

They had a pretty good draft last year, and hopefully they can continue it again this year.

It's laughable that anyone thinks there is a remote possibility of it happening.

Also. Y'all can't fire shurmur yet! He has to make enough money to donate to build a new football stadium at his (and my) old high school.

I understand where you're coming from. Local Skins radio and fans bitched endlessly about the lack of continuity with the organization. And deservingly so. And now they have it and they still bitch. Lol. You'll never satisfy everyone. Franchises like the Browns and Redskins are so thoroughly fucked that it takes longer than usual to dig them out of their ruts.

Looks more and more like the Eagles will lose Evan Mathis to the Ravens:

Dan Graziano ‏ @espn_nfceast

RT @RavensInsider: Evan Mathis told me: 'Good meeting with the Ravens. I think it's a good fit.' No deal yet, staying in town til tomorrow
I'm not sad about this prospect.;)

I'm completely ignorant about what the Browns have to work with but what else do they have besides a left tackle?

Educate me GAF!

Thomas and Mack on the OL.
Little had a good rookie season for a RB converted to WR after not having played for a year.

Sheard, Taylor and Rubin make a decent DL.
Jackson is a good MLB. Fingers crossed he doesn't get injured this year.
Haden is well on hiw way to being a shutdown corner.
TJ Ward is coming off an injury but had a good rookie season the year before last.

I still think they'll go Claibourne at 4, despite the Patterson resigning. If they trade down, then they'll take Richardon.

We should trade down too because next year we're going to have to give up at least three first round picks to get Barkley.

After the refs just literally handed a game to Syracuse, I don't think I can ever complain about NFL officiating again.

Jaw-droppingly bad.

That rig job was a thing of beauty. Never again will I see such blatant disregard for rigging a game.

I'm still in awe over what happened. Talk about crooked fucking officiating, the NCAA should be ashamed of themselves.

Last season they had a top ten defense allowing 19 points per game and about 185 yards per game passing. For a team that's in the AFC North, that's not too shabby.

Player wise they have a pretty good corner in Joe Haden. D'Qwell Jackson is a productive linebacker as well. They don't have a ton of "names" on the defensive side of the ball but it's not a bad unit.

Their offense is a mess...

Washington scooping up every good free agent. How did they get pro bowler Merriweather? They are stacked.
I can literally see the sarcasm dripping from this post.:D

I remember a few years ago when Purdue was a #1 seed and they were losing to a #16 and all thge sudden the other team started getting a ton of calls against them at the end of the game. Ncaa doesnt want everyone's bracket blown up the first day.

'Cuse was in a close game with the 16 seed. Asheville was up most of the game, and towards the end of the game Cuse makes a comeback. The officials start calling ticky tack calls on Asheville. In the final two minutes Cuse player misses a FT and the officials call a lane violation, a violation which is never called, literally. On the next possession Asheville gets the ball knocked out of bounds by a Cuse player, and they give the ball to Syracuse. Blatantly off the Cuse player.

Scott Van Pelt said it best.

Other than the goaltend & the 5 second miss & the lane violation & the out of bounds whiff...I think the 16 got a fair shake.

Cool thanks...

I was genuinely curious because a lot of players on some of these teams like the Browns are completely foreign to me

3 year deal according to Mike Reiss

He can play corner as well according to Rapsheet, so another versatile guy on D.

Will look great next to Chung and

Where would you trade down to and still take Richardson. Seems that he's going in the top 10, if not 5.

Just curious myself, who from picks 5-10 would take Richardson?

Who knows? I mean we have a scenario where the Browns trade down because some team wants to trade into the top 5, does such a team exist? Maybe some team wants to trade into the 5-10 range and take Rich if he's there. Maybe the Jags take him, what about the Bucs, maybe the Rams, who knows.

You think the Brown would take Claiborne instead of Blackmon?

They should take Claiborne or Richardson over Blackmon. That's a tough division, you pair Haden with Claiborne and you're going to slow down passing attacks. They can add a receiver in the 20's. Target a slot receiver in the 3rd.

T.Rich is a true 3 down back. Guy has an incredible lower half, his stop/start is nuts, his legs fire off like pistons. Everyone likes to downplay the RB position, you can get one later blah blah blah, but Richardson isn't some ordinary back. He's going to touch the ball 30 times, and pass protect as well.

You think the Brown would take Claiborne instead of Blackmon?
Yup. Blackmon isn't as good coming out as Green or Jones last year. Heckert and Holmgren like taking corners too. If you went by the BPA principle, Claibourne is the better prospect out of the two.

I think they'ld like to take Richardson by finding a trade partner between 8-10.

Filed to ESPN: Dolphins have arranged for Matt Flynn to visit Miami after his visit to Seattle. Miami's chances of landing Peyton dwindling.
