So according to a Patriots forum Shalise Manza Young was on sirius, and she said that she was hearing that the Pats and Welker were making progress on a long term deal. So far this is the only thing I have heard about the Pats and Welker. It doesn't look like it will be done soon, but I hope they sign him long term. For the European Patriots fans she is a reporter for the Boston Globe, and she is the one who reported that Lloyd and the Patriots were close to making a deal.

Mt RUSHmore!

BWHAHAHAHA!

I agree. It's amazing how people are just assuming he's going to suddenly be the old manning instead of a 36 year old qb coming off a really serious injury.

Your line gave up 44 sacks last season, lol that line gonna break peypey again and he will have to retire...

edit:doesn't matter where he goes Denver or 9ers both have shitty lines that gave up ton of sacks....man's gonna break again...

Contrary to popular belief, our line isn't that bad. Smith held on to the ball too long on probably ~half of those sacks.

Alex even said he would rather take a sack than make a throw he wasn't certain of. I expect the number of sacks to dip dramatically regardless of whose under center next year.

The people that have seen him work out are willing to give him tens of millions of dollars. You have a pedo avatar.

I'm going to side with the people willing to bet their careers on this one.

Thats great. It doesn't change the fact hes 36 coming off a major injury. And it doesn't change the fact that Alex Smith had a pretty good season last year.

You seem to be utterly obsessed with my avatar. It's a bit creepy.

Getting mocked by a guy from Wisconsin with a Brewers avatar and a guy with an avatar of a guy with exposed nipples (how is this okay on GAF). I am being treated unfairly just like Alex Smith.

Nice, we brought back Evan Mathis... 5/25 7 mil guaranteed. Not bad compared to what other guards have received this off-season. Just hope he continues his good level of play this past season.

Now let's get Shady done next and find that LB!

Your avatar is a cartoon little girl. A Brewers avatar and an adult male with exposed nipples is not that strange. A fantasy drawing of a little girl is.

You know I agree but I think one reason there are a lot of sacks is.

1, Alex holds on to the ball to long.

2. Alex isn't able to audible pass olays.
He can audible the run but isn't given that flexibility on the pass.

Because of Peyton's ability to call hot routes and recognize defenses are way better then Alex's. I bet the sack total diminishes greatly.

Same could be said for Denver as well. Tebow doesn't help his cause a lot of plays.

The Miami Dolphins have Matt Flynn in South Florida and sources say both sides hope to finalize terms on a contract that could make Green Bay’s former back Miami’s next starting quarterback.

The Seahawks hosted Flynn on a visit earlier this week, but he left without signing a contract and arrived in South Florida Saturday morning.

Considering Flynn, 26, is already familiar with Joe Philbin’s offense and approach from their time together in Green Bay, it’s likely that Flynn would be viewed as the front-runner to become the Dolphins’ new starting quarterback if he signs.

Seattle is interested in signing Flynn, but the Seahawks want Flynn to compete with Tavaris Jackson for the starting spot. Flynn’s familiarity with Philbin and the west coast offense should make Miami a more desirable landing spot. But both sides have to agree to terms to get the deal done.

If the Dolphins don’t sign Flynn expect Miami to investigate one of the quarterbacks – Alex Smith or Matt Hasselbeck – who becomes dislodged once Manning makes a decision.

Is Seattle's FO just incompetent or what?.....what the hell are they doing up there??? :/

As a 9er fan I'm glad ass hell, but as a NFL follower...I can't help but sctrach my head.

Stupid question: do males of every mammal species have nipples? Never noticed them with cats/dogs.

I honestly do not know. I did not mean to present myself as an expert of nipples. I apologize if my one-off nipple fact caused any nipple related confusion.

Nipple.

Did you hear reports that Alex wants to change agents...can't really link it right now..on phone...

But even though I'm not the biggest alex follower, even I admit he has been getting screwed this whole time, free agency wise.

I didn't hear that. He's had an offer on the table for 3 weeks and didn't take it..... Probably at his agents suggestion
