Just heard on the local Comcast Sports newscast that Bud Adams may be offering Manning a piece of ownership stake? What?

maaaaan, how desperate are the Titans?

are they struggling to sellout their games?

This is a crazy opportunity for Peyton......wait...is this even legal?

who cares about all these rumors. if peyton cares about winning now he's coming to san fran. if he cares about money then he goes to the broncos or titans. this isn't an insult to den/ten but lets just be realistic and admit that the niners are a more complete team than either of those teams.

Or maybe he doesn't like having a douchebag as a head coach. He likes older classy African-American coaches.

He's doing the Rodgers face! :lol

All it takes is one team to fall in love with a player's skill set. Look at Tebow or Jahvid Best. No one was going to take Tebow in the first round, but Mcdaniels fell in love with him and drafted him in the first. And Detroit traded back into the first round to draft Jahvid Best because of his skill set. Schwartz even went on to say how much he loved Best's explosiveness.

So Lamichael James may end up with the same treatment, being drafted earlier than he should be

They also didn't NEED those players, like the Browns need a running back. Broncos had Kyle Orton who is more then capable of running an offense.

i just got to thinking about our division and now that manningham is gone who the fuck are the rams trotting out at WR this year? not that i think manningham is a #1 or anything but i honestly don't know who the rams are rolling with. amendola and.....?

rams better hope cleveland doesn't draft blackmon!

Does your division even have a QB?

Jones signed a short deal at SEA. Manningham a short deal at SF. I'm thinking these guys used the Rams for leverage. Sucks to suck but they'll have to overpay until they start winning

If Peyton signs with Niners, wonder how much Smith will get on the open market?

John McClain
Some of those who have pursued Manning the hardest believe he's head to San Francisco. If so, congrats to the 49ers.

First time Harbaugh pitched Stanford to Andrew Luck, he was sold. Maybe Peyton is sold after listening to Harbaugh's pitch.

hmmm

Giants-gaf, does Manningham have any punt return experience? I think we're still missing a punt returner.

He returned punts in High School. Not since though. I think I was actually at the last game he returned a punt in. He zig-zagged backward 20 yards then fumbled. With under two minutes left in a state quarterfinal game with his team down 4 points. It was awesome.

Manningham would have the punt return skills of Andre Roberts. Bad.

I have a problem with LaMichael James being considered a third round prospect, also had the same issue with DeMarco Murray. Murray was a great all around back, dude looked like a young Fred Jackson. Can catch, adequate speed, very good vision, injuries probably held him back. Come draft time you just kept reading about him running upright, did it matter, or does it? These guys just spout checklist bullshit, some of it doesn't even make sense.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm watching a different game(s). Whatever, these scouts or pretend scouts always baffle me. I'll spare you fellas the long rant.

I'm intrigued by Mercilus, I don't watch Illinois though, I mean I'd watch but they're never on around here, well maybe they were last year but I didn't notice...lol.

Ill tell you guys right now, im gonna be salty as fuck if Manning signs with the 9ers. I'm gonna have to hear about it all year long from my dad as they storm the division.

He's very slight of build and doesn't catch the ball particularly well out of the backfield. He did get better catching balls as a junior, but he had two just hilarious drops on wheel routes as a sophomore, one of which was an easy TD. Not to mention whether he can block in the backfield. The grade makes sense to me.

That said, he runs tough as hell and breaks a lot of tackles despite of his lack of size. I can see him being a Warrick Dunn-type. I'm talking young, dynamic Warrick Dunn, not old, 3.5 yards up the middle Warrick. Only thing that gives me pause is that Warrick had a huge lower body. Lamichael looks skinny by comparison.

Draft seems loaded at RB, so there's a good chance he goes 3rd or later. Someone's going to get a good football player, get him in a good zone blocking scheme and he'll churn yards.

Can work on catching and pass pro, can't do a thing about his build, but his vision and speed are really good. He gets small and squeaks right by you, doesn't need a lot of room.

Really looking forward to seeing his career play out.

UPDATE!

Here's an interesting way to start your Sunday morning: 49ers free-agent QB Alex Smith is visiting today with the Miami Dolphins.

What if Smith goes to Miami and Peyton to Denver.

Kaepernick future ?!

Lions re-signed both Shaun Hill (great re-signing) and Jeff "Turnstile" Backus (meh).

Backus is durable. He's not great and has major issues with run-blocking, but I'm not that disappointed with it. Glad to have Hill back.

We are going to be pretty much exactly the same team.

Questions at CB with wright gone, and tulloch at LB still a question.

We do get both our IR RB from last year.

CB is a big question and just like last year the biggest need.

Wait, why were people bizarrely gloating to me that Flynn had signed (I still don't get why it affects me, gloaters) last night? Are they going to sign both Flynn and Smith?
