That's my problem with Riki - he needs a team to support him. I find he's a great mid-game ganker/carry but late game you run into problems with getting outcarried. He can't farm as efficiently as other carries and he can't build tanky because he needs buttloads of agi to work.
Just pick anti-mage if you want to win pubs.

doesn't matter, the point is that people go missing, they get ganked and we are 5v4 in teamfights, or 5v3. the best thing is when you are in a teamfight and someone in your team is elsewhere farming.
In both those games your farm is terrible (230 gpm), while you get kills you don't have the items you need to carry. From playing with you just now, I'd suggest that you keep playing and focus on improving your game and don't worry so much about winning.

I am loving the beta.
I am having a hard time, as it sounds like a lot of you are, dealing with the frustration of pub no0bery though.
I am at maybe 50% win rate right now, so I am by no stretch of the imagination amazing or anything; however, if you want to play ever - shoot me a PM - I'd love to roll with some Gaf'ers. As I said, I am pretty casual, but would like to try my hand at a more coordinated experience.

lol how the hell can I farm well in teams like that. then if I go sd I usually choose an hero that I've never used (like riki) so I can't do that good at last hitting.
about the game, like I said I prefer to use furion not in jungle so I fucked up at the start since I was already in the lane and didn't get much farm during that phase.

Super close open house. Fun and frustrating.
I hate playing OD because games always get to the point when half their team has bkb and your orb does nothing, and they just mow you down. The best thing you can do is force staff away or try to astral yourself. I almost always seem to fight lifestealer too.
He's my least favorite carry.

What's up with Dota 2 not recording wins? I had two victories that were not put into my record. On my Dota profile you can see the matches and that I won, but my victory counter doesn't go up. WHY DON'T YOU FORGET TO RECORD MY LOSSES, HOW ABOUT THAT DOTA?

Anyone have some rather easy noob lane combos? I'm playing with my brother just against bots and we're both rather new. I guess he does okay in games he plays alone but when we play together he has gone some games 0-10, 2-10, 0-5 before all the towers the t1 towers are down. He's tried warlock, he likes him a lot but dies all the time with him. Tried AM, but he usually gets out of position too easily because he's melee. Last two games we went against kunkka and bane. kunkkas's tidebringer would take about 1/4 our health if not more and bane would stun one of us for about 5 sec and we'd die.
I'm thinking about going drow/venge and just stacking the auras and playing defensively. I just need some heroes with some good synergy that aren't too squishy.

After going back to LoL for a few games to contrast with Dota, I'm pretty sure their community is actually worse. Dota's community can be a bit harsh, but a lot of people just toss playful banter in games. I have had to only file 40 reports in 375 games.
Dazzle may not have a level 1 stun, but his slow/stun is great early game, the slow is often enough to get in an extra few hits on a person before the stun even sets in. Its not a lane you often get first blood with (Unless the enemy acts dumb), but he is a great baby sitter, and will normally have his poison up to rank 3 by 5 or 6. Once both me and him get 6, its normally time to go into fearless skeleton mode, killing any who dare to stray to close.

As a beginner, Crystal Maiden's super squishy-ness leads to a lot of deaths though...
Yes, she also makes for some great bait though if you have some ultra mobile people like Natures Prophet, Spectre, or Spirit Breaker. Her stun and slow are great for keep chasing characters at bay. I should make a video of some some great CM juking from a few weeks ago.

Puppey isn't very interesting to listen to. At the end tobi was listening to him talk and was trying to do something to sound interested.
From a broadcasting/entertainment point of view? I agree entirely - but listening to his point of views/thought processes as the game progressed was actually very interesting/cool.

Been trying out Sand King the last few games. Was wondering if someone could help me...
I'm supposed to be invisible when I go into my Sandstorm, correct? It seems like sometimes people can still target me. This is early game even, so I doubt they are carrying a gem just for me. Am I missing something? Are their situations where I'm not invisible in my Sandstorm?

Also certain abilities, like Bounty Hunters Track, Slarders armor debuff (Forget the name).
