The Walking Dead - Season 2 - Sundays on AMC

Season finale tonight!

The S2 marathon is in progress now on AMC. Shane is about to shave his head.

Also just a reminder that there is a thread for discussion of the spoiler leaks from AMC, the comic books and how they relate to the show, and other spoilerish material. Please use that thread if you want to talk about this sort of thing. Thanks.
Why are you typing out spoilerish material, and telling people to use the other thread at the same time?

Because... you don't want to enter the thread with major spoilers and comic spoilers?

Thus why people are and will continue to say some spoiler-ish stuff in here like you just did.

I hope Carl didn't shoot Walker Shane directly in the brain and that he survives because they just left him in a field (IIRC Rick didn't even confirm the headshot?)

He can guest star in a season or two, killing random isolated survivors, and he's leading a giant horde

Pretty sure Rick does indeed confirm the head shot. The final frame is Rick and Carl examining Shane's body as the shot zooms out to show the herd emerging from the woods.

Wait a tick, watching the marathon on AMC, does Carl die temporarily and come back to life?

Nah, I think he just went into shock and experienced a seizure. He wasn't getting enough blood circulating through his brain.

It's a logline. This is the same stuff that gets posted in every tv thread every week.

What, like the first episode of Season 3 or did he come on during season 2? I think I remember him being on seaspon 2 of TD during his episode.
Um, you have your seasons mixed up? He was on this season, just a couple of episodes ago. Anyway, they were dumb enough to ask
if he's coming back, which obviously forced him to make awkward faces and give a "coy" answer. They should've just played it like "Rooker's just hanging out with us and that's cool because we invite anyone who wants to show up" instead of going there.

Damn, I wasn't looking towards them in that shot.

Still, Carl's probably a pretty poor aim, and it was dark! Rick can be wrong!

Oh wow, the clothes Maggie gave Shane at the end of ep 203 were Otis's? Damn. lol

:lol

But like somebody else made the point earlier in last week's discussion that when the group were engaging in target practice training, Carl appear to actually be a pretty good shot. Would explain his sudden burst of marksmanship when he capped Shane from so far away.

Spoiler-ish is spoiler-ish. Grouping comic spoilers, actual tv show spoilers, and interview spoilers all together is just dumbfuck.
People who want to speculate on comics don't necessarily want to read actual tv show spoilers. etc.

Think they said on Talking Dead it was his high school football number.

Ah! That's pretty cool.

Haha, Rick suggesting they set up over by the barn. That sure would have sped things up a bit...

Seriously. lmfao

Also, Dale was just so cool.

"I couldn't get a word out of you all day!"

;_;

Edit: T-Dog's best line of Season 2, easily. "Good thing we didn't do nothing stupid, like shoot it."

Only a few more hours to go for the finale! I am just as stoked as everyone seems to be for it to air. I know I will be bummed once it is over and then realizing how long of a wait it will be for the Season 3 premiere.

Yeah. I've got Mad Men to look forward to next week though.

So was there any significance to Daryl making a necklace of carved-off ears besides to show him off as turning into some demented sociopath?

Also, lol @ Daryl eating "shrooms" that gave him hallucinations of his Chupacabra. hahahah

I feel like I missed so many of these little tidbits when I first watched the eps.

Chill out man. Loglines are posted (in spoilers) in every single TV thread every single week. And, I might add, a large number of those threads are curated by Cornballer, who does a great service to this site and doesn't deserve to be given shit over it.

He wasn't saying nothing remotely spoilerish can be posted in here, he was reminding people to discuss the major spoilers, such as leaks, in the other thread. He does that because when people don't listen, everyone else bitches and he has to deal with it.

Had the marathon on most of the day walking in and out of the house. Jesus, I must have seen that Mass Effect 3 ad at least twenty times. Makes me want to start my renegade playthrough already.

It's about the journey man.

........

:/

until you realize the ending takes a massive dook all over the journey.

on topic: im hoping it'll be a bloodbath tonight, hoping they take out at least one more person from the main cast to keep the audience on their toes.

So Kirkman had already said that the start of the finale will explain
the flock of zombies approaching the house
, I think it would be cool if it's like
a mass suicide to avoid the zombie infested world and they all turn anyway. That would explain the flock and hammer the point home to the audience that you don't need to be bitten to turn
.

this would be pretty amazing... but i have a feeling they're going to take the less controversial way out and just show the walkers clumping up along a fence line and knocking it over.

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but this month's Playboy has a secret origin comic of one of the comic's characters. It spoils nothing of the comic series or TV series: instead just gives a backstory to a character who appears in one of the first couple dozen issues. Anyone who gets Playboy (and since there are two or three free year subs offered every few months, no excuse!) will be getting it this month.

*article removed because it is loaded with spoilers for the comic that even ruined it for me and I've read the first few story arcs*

The character is
Michone
. The story is really short, like 4 pages and feels kind of rushed, but is a bit of Walking Dead comic for those who may never have read the comic.

I wonder if it confirms we'll see her in Season 3, since they're showing her origin for people who probably have never read the comics but have watched the series.

First episode without Shane. I will always remember you brother.

I might have been an ass about it but, people who want to speculate about comics or interviews don't necessarily want to be in a catch all thread that includes 100% spoilers.

It's just naturally asking for problems on every page.

Even look right about what I posted. People don't even care to debate spoilers and just keep going.

You know, all the weaknesses of the show that GAF usually nitpicks on disappear for the most part when you watch every episode back-to-back.

It even makes T-Dog look like a legitimate character with a script!
