Now that Solo is gone NeoGAF will watch in horror as its greatest thread tears itself apart through fear. The movement back to harmony will be unstoppable this time.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES (2012): NEW FOOTAGE DEBUTS AT RUSSIAN MOVIE EXPO

We are receiving word that new footage for The Dark Knight Rises has debuted at this weekend's Russian Movie Expo.

Various Twitter users have tweeted that new footage has debuted, with Twitter user @RIMMK7 confirming as well.

New #TheDarkKnightRises footage was shown at the Movie Expo. More details to follow...

RIMMK7 has provided various details and images on other movie related subjects in the past, which may reveal he works for a major movie studio or publisher, or at least knows someone who does.

And then we have the following tweet from someone in attendance:

Ну и конечно компания Каро Премьер показала новый ролик Темного рыцаря.Возрождение легенды. Даже слов нет, одни эмоции!

Google Translation: "And of course the company Caro Premier has shown a new movie The Dark Knight The Legend Continues. Even words are not, some emotions!"

This probably actually states something along the lines of "Caro Premier has shown a new movie, The Dark Knight Rises. Even words are not enough to describe how great it is."

In addition, Warner Bros. is confirmed to be in attendance at the Licensing At Russia Expo in Moscow on March 14-16, which takes place at the state-of-the-art Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre. Disney, Dreamworks, Turner, BBC and more are there as well.

Regarding a description of the footage, we are still waiting on that.

But of course the Caro Premier company showed us a new footage from The Dark Knight Rises. I have no words. Only emotions.

I'm Pretty excited to know what they've seen.

Lets hope Dominos do a trailer like they did for The Dark Knight.

Wish they left the "This town is mine now" in the final cut.

I'm still pissed Nolan cut that iconic shot of The Joker walking down the street towards Batman with his knife from the final film. I also prefer the take of "Hit me!" that was in the first theatrical trailer. The sound mixing of the take that was in the final film was really off.

Director Christopher Nolan has completed The Dark Knight Rises.

Or a rough cut of it, at least.

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Nolan on Friday presented his first cut of 2012's most-anticipated film to top Warner Bros. executives, including Warners film chief Jeff Robinov and production president Greg Silverman.

The movie doesn’t open until July 20, but Nolan has allowed himself plenty of time to fine-tune the movie as he and the brass see fit. Sources say Nolan has been a fixture on the Warners lot over the past few days after finishing a months-long shoot and editing process. The follow-up to 2009's $1 billion-grossing The Dark Knight was filmed in locations as diverse as Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey and Pittsburgh, as well as parts of India and the UK.

Just release it!!!!11111

I was with him until the Alfred turn. I've been long championing the idea that the third movie needs Bruce Wayne to play the central role of the film as opposed to Batman. But that Alfred turn is ridiculous.

Is this thread still a mine field for spoilers? I come in occasionally whenever it's bumped but always reluctantly, with the mouse on the x of the tab just in case.

I've also been looking through a bunch of old saved gaf images and needed an excuse to post this gem:

Will happen again at next year's oscars.

Not many spoilers in recent days.

Watch Bane emerge from the shadows and destroy the auditorium when Nolan doesn't win this year.

Talking to a Russian movie site, Tom Hardy speaks out on his role as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, including talking about how Bane will be portrayed in the movie and his admiration of director Christopher Nolan. Read it below:

Bane is not just a mercenary. This guy has huge potential – it is, what is the average between the revolutionary and a dictator – it must be to some extent compared with Chegevaroy revolution in his blood, he can not live without it – when it comes to Gotham, things change forever. And he’s a machine that washes your brain – it seemed zombiruet others, and they are willing to blindly follow them without thinking about the consequences because they are scared the hell out of him coming to their town. This ability allows him to easily manipulate people, and in particular his large army of assassins. They would rather die than disobey his commander. Bane crushes both physically and mentally.

Bain is very interesting as a strength and a warehouse of his mind – he is a very unusual character – to undertake this role for me was very interesting, but I did it difficult to light the face of her once again in a major blockbuster, but in order to convey all uniqueness of his character, his charisma – that he knew how to be a real Bain and forgotten old movies, where he showed terrible to say the least. I remember once turned off the TV when he saw, and thought to myself, well, that Chris came up with another Bane, and took a third of the shoot, not giving it to other hands, as happened with Tim Burton.

New synopsis:

When Commissioner Gordon stumbles upon a plot to destroy the city from within, Bruce Wayne gets back into action as the Batman. Waiting for him is the mysterious Selina Kyle and Bane, a lethal adversary on a crusade to tear apart Batmans legacy piece by piece.

I was reading Cracked and there was an article on 4 Sequels that should be made... and the Dark Knight was one of them. While the writer states that he knows DKR is coming out, he wrote an idea for a different sequel... that'd be quite a movie

The first two Batman movies set this up so perfectly, I would almost be depressed if Nolan didn't end up making this movie
The first two movies set up Alfred becoming a serial killer to protect Batman's identity?

Very derp. Like others, I was with him until that.
