Mists of Pandaria Media Blowout [NDA lifted!]

How much Chi does a healer monk have?! I need to know this NOW so I can start calculating how to heal efficiently :_:

The Defense of the Ancients battleground concept was scrapped; world PvP objectives were added. Control areas of Pandaria to increase your faction's conquest point weekly cap.

So sad :(

I can only imagine what atrocities Garrosh will commit that would call for both factions to kill him.

He was pretty bro in The Shattering by the end.

Indeed, and honestly, with the way their lore is, I would much prefer to fight Garrosh at the end than some new fucking retarded dragon again. In fact, no more goddamn dragons for a while please. Killing Garrosh, good shit, they did a great job in making most folks hate his character early on lol.

Yeah it is, looks like I still wont be bothering with PvP at all.

More pics for the OT (casuals are interested in the female Panda)!

Breath of Fire (LVL 18)
2 Chi, 40 Yard Range, Instant
Requires Ox Stance
Breathes fire onto the target, causing 3,573 damage. Damage is multipled by the number of Drunken Haze stacks on the target.

Drunken Haze (LVL 22)
40 Energy, 40 Yard Range, Instant
Requires Ox Stance
You hurl a keg of your finest brew, reducing the movement speed of all enemies within 8 yards by 15%. Affected targets have a 3% chance to have their attacks misfire and strike themselves instead for 12,299 damage. Stacks up to 3 times.

This alone is worth the price of entry.

I like the way a lot of this sounds, but Horde and Alliance working together to raid Orgrimmar is not classic WoW. I remember hating Alliance. First, paladins on Horde, Shaman on Alliance. Then sanctuaries. Then race changes. Then both sides getting the same race. Now this.

If you're going to go the two faction route, at least go all in. I miss it.

It doesn't surprise me since this was the only logical thing they could do with the destruction of Theramore incoming. Also doesn't surprise me that they are purposely holding the big confrontation with Garrosh until the last patch of the expansion. They know after Cataclysm that the content they add into the game now doesn't last for shit (Dragon's Soul was ripped apart within 2 weeks and the dungeons were laughably easy), so they are already setting up something for MoP to desperately get people back after they quit WoW again a couple months after the xpac release.

I'm just upset because, story-wise, he was a great motivator for the Alliance vs. Horde war that kind of stopped existing after vanilla, and that's literally the only reason I would ever go back to WoW, is if the war became the reason for playing the game. They'll never do that, of course, because people like their dumb raids.

Yeah, this.

Super ideally, they'd scrap the dual-faction idea altogether and just open it up to guild vs guild PvP funtimes all around. Fully open PvP. I fucking hate most of the people who play Horde just as much as I hate most of the people who play Alliance. Let me kill them all with my boss Tauren warrior.

read my edit. Its hilarious how they don't think this isn't as important as other things.
I understand what you're saying. But honestly, if I can choose between more content and better gameplay or better model textures then my answer is obvious. It should be the same for you too.

•They have always wanted minor glyphs to be ‘fun’ glyphs. We will be seeing a lot of new minor glyphs that do fun things such as a minor glyph that makes the Mage “Teleport: Dalaran” send you to the Dalaran crater instead of Dalaran in Northrend. A Warrior could have one that fears critters when they use Battle Shout or Commanding Shout.

Dick mode activate for all mages.

"a little harder than heroics" is probably shit ton of easy anyway :( I wish they at least made them 4.1-hard or something... that shit was awesome. Except for Grim Batol. Fuck that place.

Yeah, like I said earlier, i'm wondering how bad Garrosh can get to actually call for his head from both factions.

Depends on what type of content. See the new tauren like model? two birds could have been killed with one stone in that case. Instead we get a new model for mob's or NPC's that we probably won't even see all that much in MoP/

Sounds like a legit way to teleport to Hillsbrad Hoothills :3

I don't like that either but the reason is they don't want to have to design unique instances for each faction (where one faction would never get to experience the 'siege of orgrimmar').

The Yaungol are another new race here, descendents of the Tauren. Their situation is similar to the Taunka in Northrend, as they got separated when Pandaria broke off from the main continents. They have been forced out of their homeland by the Mantid in Townlong Steppes. They are aggressive here because they are looking for a new place to set up their homes.
It's a new race, sooo <.< But yes, I understand what you're saying.
ACHIEVEMENT: Exploration

What a View - Visit each of the 10,000 waterfalls in Pandaria.
TEN THOUSAND Waterfalls?! REALLY?!

Garrosh is a douche that killed Caine. That's enough of a reason to take him down.

Those heroics are a "shit ton of easy" because we're rocking 378+ ilvls. Imagine if you had to do those heroics never getting out of 333 gear. Welcome to challenge mode.

Which I think would be fine. You're on opposing factions that hate each other and want nothing more than to kill or dominate the other. Well, at least it was that way. Choosing a side in a war should be either or. But maybe I'm just dreaming.

I'm glad they're adding scenarios and challenge modes to give some flexibility to play styles. I might actually resub if they provide interesting content that I don't have to schedule hours around. (I like raiding, but can't balance it around school.)

With heroics in Cata, they pretty much backed themselves into a corner of having to nerf the difficulty since they were the stepping stone between fresh 85 and raiding. Putting in these alternatives may allow them to say "No, we aren't nerfing them because you would never have to do them, anyway."

Also, the artwork for Pandaria is fucking beautiful. Probably my favorite zone-art since Nagrand.

The same heroics that fucked us up are easy as shit today because of the 40% health and damage nerfs all across the board. I've played alts in 333 gear and I didn't wipe a single time in any of my 20+ runs through the heroics.

Shrug, Battle for the Undercity was the greatest questline this game has had damn near, and that was alliance and horde both as well. This will likely be something similar to the way that went. I haven't seen anyone saying that the two factions will be holding hands singing songs on their way to slay Garrosh, just that both sides will want him dead. Just like Varimithras.

This is WoW, so I'm guessing Garrosh will simply "make a deal" with the proverbial (Asian-themed) devil and promise Orc slavery again in return for "MOAR HORDE POWAR" the will make true Horde be like "No, fuck you."

Then I predict Sylvanas to become the new Horde Warmistress or something.

There's also that. But you're basically going to be doing original Heroic Grim Batol rocking the equivalent of 333s.

I'm sure Blizzard actually thinks the heroic versions of the dungeons they added in Cataclysm were challenging as well, and we all know if you have the concept know as "logic", they are a fucking joke.

I was especially disgusted with the 3 Dragon Soul dungeons, such a joke. First one was decent because of the alternate random paths and hourglass of time, second one was the best because of Illidan, third one was pure garbage with no effort put into it. All were easy as hell though and it wasn't hard to get at least 5 runs of each one in day 1 of the patch.

And it's going to be fun as heck until the nerf-hammer shows up! (I know, what's the point in creating both heroics and challenge modes if they're eventually nerfing both! Let's hope this isn't the case).

I can get behind my banshee queen being the new warchief. These shitty green orcs are doing a terrible job.

•LFR Loot System•Everyone rolls on the items from a boss individually.
•If you win the roll, the system checks the boss’s loot table and if there is an item for you, you win it.
•This way other people cannot impact what you win, only the roll you get can.
•You aren’t always guaranteed something. If the boss doesn’t have an item you can use then you won’t win anything.
•It could be added to more parts of the game in the future, but LFR is a good place to start.

finally.

I'm listening to the Cory Stockton interview on MMOC and he's talking about doing a scenario with with Horde players going in to destroy Theramore. That's what I've been wanting them to do. I want them to use this new game mode to do things that matter to people like they did with the battle for UC. That sounds really cool.

I think a bigger problem is that you cannot queue for those dungeons until your gear is so good that it should be a cakewalk. The ilvl requirements are set to high. You should be able to start trying the DS heroics earlier than you can. It would be a decent challenge if by the time you could queue for them you didnt already have enough gear to the point of it being sort of trivial.

I'm so confused about the LFR loot system. I can't wrap my head around it.

If it drops and you want it, you hit need and you get it. Period, and anyone else who wants it gets it too. Theres no limits. LFR will provide gear lower than the normal runs do, and its more for just seeing the content than it is for gearing up.

Its a heroic dungeon with 24 people that you will now be guaranteed to get loot from, so long as the item you are looking for drops. They will probably cut the number of items that drop per boss down a lot. But I dont see why they should. LFR isnt really about the loot.
