As it stands now they want us to believe she's a decent mother but she acts completely unrealistically.
Good finale. Didn't go down how I expected it to (I thought they'd hold up in the house) and it was better because of it. Didn't end especially strong, though, as there was no OMG I WANT NEXT SEASON NOW MOMENT.
Can Andrea just fucking die already? She's awful and whoever this gothic "lolz I have zombie slave" person is I really don't care. They look like a character an emo kid would draw in school.
Lori and Carl too. Both fucking awful. Fire them now and instantly make the show better.
This season was absolutely choked by the fact they spent the entire time on the farm with nothing engaging happening. If all they do is hold up in that big building (prison?) for season 3 then my interest drops significantly. This episode could've happened halfway through the season - easily. The pace of the show needs to pick up or they need to get much better writers/actors. Preferably both.
The fact this season has had two or three strong eps doesn't make me forget about the rest. 90% of the time it's mediocre and that needs to change.
Hopefully season 3 will be when the show finally becomes would it should be.
So the entire intro was zombies moaning, yet rick and stupid kid don't hear them?
lol, Lori's parenting skills at work

A timeline of events, up until leaving the barn.
Day 60, Rick wakes up
Day 82, group leaves farm
Their basic peripheral vision is also fucking ass because even in the moonlight; the human eye should be able to make out shambling forms crossing a field. The fact that the zombies also managed to catch up to them, have to make you think they don't run very fast. They could have run and shouted but no....
seems a bit condensed. 22days? That's not even a month.
Also got to say; modern buildings with elevators + locked egresss firestairs; zombies won't be able to break into any building with a good lobby. Mobs can't even. I always wondered about this. Zombie apocalpyse? How would they get in everywhere. Most fire stairs are fairly solid and not liable to being smashed in. Abandoned cities? You should easily be able to survive in a tall building.
But then this zombie world has no watches + mobile phones, walky talkies. I mean, down in 22 days? What sort of cars are they running that needs refueling in 22 days/run out - what with them going to get fuel and all that. 1st thing they should do is go ransack a hardward shop for PV rechargable mats or something. 22 days..
I'd like a modern take on a zombie infestation with all that tech. And done well at that.

According to Rick in the pilot, pre-apocalypse she was a pretty shit mom.Lori sort of seems like she'd be a shitty mom even if the zombie apocalypse hadn't happened, and Rick had just died in the hospital. Cooking and doing laundry can't possibly be more distracting than being a working single mom would have been, and she seems totally incapable of actually disciplining her son (What's she going to do? Ground him? HA.)
I think the issue with Carl is that the kind of disrespect he generally shows his parents should at same point lead to some kind of consequence, but his parents both just kind of brush it off because... raising kids is hard, dude. Seriously how are you not keeping tabs on your son while your husband is going to go execute somebody, or when a potential violent criminal is on the loose? She apparently didn't even bother with her super-parenting skill of "Hey, X, can you watch Carl?" Although I kind of like to think this is because he's been such an ass to everyone that not even Carol wants to put up with him anymore.

Ok, so what the fuck was Lori's problem when Rick told her he killed Shane? Just a couple of episodes ago she was telling Rick he needed to kill Shane because he was trying to take what was his (lol). And now she is all pissed off about it? What the fuck is her problem?!
The show seems to have jumped the shark though. Dude with sword and zombie slaves? What the fuck?
I don't think any of that was ever suggested.
They just heard a powerful noise and began migrating toward it. There's people in here who've already done a great job of explaining it on multiple occasions.
Depending what type of zombie mythos you subscribe to, they can be incredibly determined. If they know food is nearby they'll claw at the same wall for days, weeks. Your tower just became a prison.
What do you expect? She's a negligent mother and a floozy. I gather that the hooded character is a favorite from the comics. I don't get the point of the zombie pets, but I'll reserve judgement. I noticed neither one had arms or jaws. I still wanna know, who was in that helicopter?
barry
I wonder if there's any other type of zombies in the comics, that have been created as experimental, or that have mutated into a bigger creature? It would be awesome to see it in the show.

Somebody needs to 'shop Solid Snake's bandanna on him.
Eh, I would definitely pass on this. Leave that shit for the Resident Evil movies.

^ Outstanding. lol

Some comic spoilers on the point of the zombie pets:
Zombies don't notice her, as they cover the smell and that they trail along with her. And without arms or jaws, the zombie pets can't hurt her.

Oh sir, you are wrong. Oh so wrong. Let's hope Michonne didn't hear you. Oh shit! Here she comes, run!!!

How do two zombies cover the smell entirely? Does she bathe them in zombie guts so they are extra potent?
What's in the black duffel bag that Andrea picked up? Just more guns ?
Michonne from the comic looks like Whoopi Goldberg.

Just needs Herschel face instead of Doomguy
Chekov's Gun. I.E. The same Duffle Bag of Guns that Rick got from his Sheriff Station, back in the Pilot.
The one he lost in Atlanta.
The one he went back for.
The one that was asked for in return of Glenn
The one that was split with the Gangbanger Hospice Workers
And carried ever since, through the CDC to the farm. Though not as noticed until Andrea was running with it.
Lol @ posting some of the better material from the comic, up front and center. Ok dude...
Odor isn't the only thing that attracts them... Sound, sight ect...
Having the 2 zombies chained up isn't fool proof. In the limited time she had them in the comic she was still attacked by a couple but they were very close to her and by the time they noticed their head was on the floor. Hell she fights off a swarm with those two in hand.

What happens if she has to run away? Seems like it'd be quite hindering to drag two rotting corpses. They just write her as too much of an invincible badass to ever be in such a situation?
Also seems like it'd kill any chance of being stealthy against non-zombie enemies.
