To be fair his only competition is pretty much Chad Pennington. And a couple years of Vinny.
But Penny was actually good when he was healthy. It's really not even close.

Peyton is so selfish. First he makes everybody wait 2 weeks while he is a rock star now he's late to his own press conference. Ridiculous.
I think he's average. I wouldn't call him horrible. He did win a good number of playoff games in his first 2 years. Most young QBs could never do that.
Pat Bowlen is a tiny, tiny man....
Peyton with a competent coach and a good defense.
Shit is going to be scary.
Ho ho ho chortle chortle.Didn't he sign with Denver?
GTFO here Peyton. You broke down the door of Frank Tripuka's house and threatened to beat the shit outta his daughter with a football if he didn't allow you to have #18. Be fucking honest already, jeez.

Segments of the NBA-GAF community have been persistently demonstrating hostility toward the rest of the forum, especially toward female members, and an inability to abide by the ToS in general. If you want to be free of the requirements of civility and respect toward other members, or if you do not want to be a part of NeoGAF as a whole, then I suggest you find somewhere else to go.
When the thread is re-opened the moderation team will be monitoring it heavily and taking action as appropriate. Do not create any temporary/substitute threads to hold discussion in the mean time. Apologies to those not party to this behavior who are being disrupted by the thread closure.
I seriously doubt Peyton Manning really cared what number he wears.
Edit: I'm guessing it was more of an organization thing, jersey sales, etc.
I blame Frankman.
http://twitter.com/#!/AdamSchefter/status/182168373101215744Scratch SF from teams that could trade for Tim Tebow, add Miami. Candidates currently include JAX, GB, MIA, maybe more. A trade will happen.
http://twitter.com/#!/AdamSchefter/status/182174024971993091Here's one other team that has discussed trading for Tim Tebow, even if it is considered a longshot: the Jets.

They got SMU'd, History has taught us they'll never be the same!

I'm coming here from NBA-GAF...
Its warranted. There's a lot of shit that is said by users in there that is simply inappropriate. The basketball discussion is okay, but the hostility toward newer users as well as the inappropriate and immature discussion that sometimes goes on there are problems.
Why would Green Bay want him? That's a serious question.
if that was true, he wouldn't be wearing 18. Fuck him and Rice for this sort of thing.
"It's perfectly OK for him to go ahead and use it,'' Frank Tripucka said last week from his New Jersey home. "I would be honored to have him wear it.''
"It's been retired for 50 years, that's long enough.''
They don't. The only people who have a vested interest in that story is ESPN, who also happens to be the one who started and perpetuated the rumor.
Wow, I wonder what's going to happen to sports thread's now.

Agreed. The NBA thread is absolutely awful, I support the move
If Peyton goes down I'm sure Elway will come out of retirement and put back on the pads before Tebow ever sees the field again. So there's zero chance the Bronco's keep Tebow as a backup and to take over when Manning gets killed later this season?
Like I said, I would imagine it is more of the organization's doing then Manning's.
