NBA-gaf was pretty much the same way. I think the only major difference was just being unwelcoming to new members. If your new and criticize someone they're always someone with a weird "who the hell are you"

It'd be nice to know exactly what incidents were causing problems with NBA Gaf. Particularly the 'hostile to other posters, particularly women.". I wasn't even aware there were female posters regularly (or who even visited) that thread. Which it would have be the case, since shutting it down for what a poster did in another thread doesnt seem logical.

Small note, but they used an old Reebok jersey for the conference. Thought the Reebok deal was up, but I guess Nike wants to do a grand unveiling of the uniforms, probably around Draft time.

There aren't. This is purely "outside the thread" stuff. Also what I had said earlier, if you in any Sports-GAF watch your back or you might end up missing.

Devo's birthday thread got NBA-GAF killed off. The straw that broke the camel's back. It wasn't some incident inside of nba-gaf itself.

Yeah i would like to see the straw that broke the camels back, or just anything that was offending someone at the time. There was a lot of ragging on people but they it mostly because of their arguments or flawed logic. I can't remember there being an incident of someone singled out.
