Wow even the Marlins has more members than Rockies-GAF :jnc

Hey, when this gets installed, I'm switching to the Marlins, myself.

Homerun, bong rip! Homerun, acid drop! Homerun, pass out like Cuevas!

Ryans gone....

:(

Is this real life?

No way man, Tulloch is one of the better MLBs in a 4-3 dydtem in the NFL. He is going to be a force on our defense for all 5 years. I'm so excited about the signing. It instantly makes our defense somewhat relevant and guarantees at least 1 person on the field can tackle! He is better than any prospect in the draft and any other FA linebacker.

Has anyone seen or heard the details of the contract? I know its a 5 year deal, but havn't heard anything about money

I guess more than anything I wish we had a linebacker with some better size on him. I worry about Tulloch's ability in pass protection, especially after hanging a few more years on him. Like I said I'm not unhappy over the signing, but it doesn't thrill me as much as I hoped it would, either. As for the contract, I don't think that the financial numbers have been released yet. Maybe tomorrow?

Our draft pick:

Rich Eisen: "Well, let's take a look in the Lions draft room as they're on the board after that last pick by the Browns. Wait a second--Plinko has a bottle of champagne! The cork is off and he's spraying it all over the war room! They're headed out!"

"In what looks to be an incredible show of unity, Plinko, Doorman, goldlion054, beast786, Agent Icebeezy, PhoenixDark, WedgeX, and Kosmo are walking together down together, still soaked from the champagne bath, with the draft card in hand. Here's the pick."

With the 23rd pick in the GAF NFL mock draft, the Lions take Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford.

Let's be realistic--this guy is gone WELL before this slot in the real draft. But, for now, we take the steal of the draft. A 6-6, 305-pound talent who shows great skill at both run and pass blocking. He did a great job protecting the blind side of the #1 pick in this year's draft, Andrew Luck, throughout his college career. The Lions would probably choose to groom him on the right side of the line after re-signing Jeff Backus and will let him take over the LT position next year. Some scouts believe Martin is even more talented and has more upside than both Matt Kalil and Riley Reiff, the other big names at the offensive tackle position in this draft. Overall, a solid lineman who should be an anchor for an NFL offensive line for years to come.

I understand the size thing, but he has been alright in coverage. Remember the pick against the Cowboys where made that great jump to pick the pass off intended for Witten, to seal the game for us? I understand your concerns though, its only natural as a Lions fan to react in such a manor.

And nice write up Plinko

Tulloch isn't a perfect pass defender but wow is he light years ahead of Bobby Carpenter, the guy who cost us the 49ers game.

With the 24th pick in the NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select - Dont'a Hightower - LB.

Linebacker U is short on Linebackers. how did this happen? Dont'a would fit in right away, is a stud with good sideline to sideline range, and would be a monster next to the already dominant Steelers linebacking corps. The Steelers were missing a lot last year, but chief among that was fear. Dont'a here will bring some of that shit back. He's easily the best still available.

Just like I figured, the 49ers and Smith reached an agreement, more then likely the original offer that was on the table with some more guaranteed money thrown in.

Ryans did not work well in Wade's system. He's a class act though. Eagles will benefit.

He makes 7 mill this year and 8 the next. How the hell do the Eagles find the money to get all these guys?
