NFL Off-Season Thread: "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?"

I think LionsGAF would like a second round.

I'd be curious to see how it all plays out, but my knowledge of the available players would be completely shot by then and this one already shot by so quickly, to me at least.

I still find it strange that the two most likely landing spots for Tebow are both places who, normally, would already be set at the QB spot. People didn't necessarily love Sanchez in New York going into last year but I think they were at least willing to provide benefit of the doubt and give him some time to develop, and boy did that tenor change in a hurry. Meanwhile, Jacksonville just drafted who was supposed to be their heir apparent in Blaine Gabbert. Have they already given up on him or what?

Vinny Curry is a good pick.It feels a need.

I feels a need! A need for speed.

Tim Tebow is being allowed to pick the team he wants to go to. He picks the trade. Jets or Jacksonville.

It's up to Tebow. Let's see what he does...

Slow...

Gee, I wonder which one the religious virgin is going to pick. His hometown franchise or the team coached by a foot loving cuckold with the guy that has had nine children with eight different women out of wedlock and has already said the team doesn't want him.

Attention Falcons-Age:

You have a pick in round two! Can I get volunteers from Falcons Age to pick?

I was just about to mention this. I'll try to help out, but I'll need some help from my fellow Falcons fans since I haven't been paying much attention to this year's class.

Directly getting to choose which team he's traded to...has there ever been a situation like this in the NFL before? This whole day of news just feels surreal.

Jacksonville gives Tebow an easier path into a starting QB job, so it is better for him all around.

I personally think he'll be able to continue his success from last season, mostly because I think he will find a way to improve his passing game significantly. He's the kind of guy that works very very hard.

//edit - Looks like I spoke too soon LOL.. If the previous story is true, I wonder what made him choose the Jets?

With the 32nd pick of the 2012 GAF Mock Draft, the NY Giants select OT Mike Adams - Some analysts have Adams ranked above Glenn and a majority felt that he fit the BPA tag and addressed a massive need with Kareem Mckenzie being shown the door. The Giants have OT James Brewer on the roster as well who's been developing for a season as well so Adams can add depth. Some of his weaknesses should be masked by moving him to the right side of the line and Pat Flaherty, the Giants offensive line coach can help coach him through the inconsistencies he's shown in his college career. Some "off the field" issues shouldn't be too much of a concern as the Giants have shown the ability to look past those in drafting guys like Marvin Austin. The fact that he's played the LT position also provides added depth for the Giants moving forward with a successful move to RT for him.

Goddamn it.

..................to the dinner table
Oh you.
But really, we've beaten you 3 years in a row.
It's about time we sweep da Aints, and this is the perfect year to do it.
Ra-Ra-Raheem is no longer our coach, we've beefed up our OL, gotten a deep threat (finally) and hopefully our D will actually play an entire season.

Oh, and Greg "3rd and 2, shotgun formation" is no longer with the team.

We're on our way back up, while the Aints will be the Aints once again.
