I need to tame those wires someday.

DSC01521.jpg

Sound goes to a receiver by the TV and is channeled into the speakers I wired into the walls. Printer used to be in the living room, but the wi-fi radio broke on it :(

Those are branches on the desktop background. The wires are beneath the desk. I used to have them all tied back but then I had to move something.

Bwaha fuck me, blind and tired. That first branch totally looks like it connects with the wire from the speaker though. My wires are all a mess on my deskop. :(

Well fuck me, that chair-desk combo is absolutely fantastic. It kinda has that ugliness from 70s furniture from the Sovjet Union going on. Yet, given the details on the pieces and since it looks so clean and is placed in a modern minimalist setting, it looks gorgeous!!

Beautiful, but doesn't your neck hurt looking up at such a close distance (when using it as a computer)?

I might be used to it?

Before i picked up a dual wall mount the monitors sat on top and that did kink my neck, but I actually think i sit up straighter because i'm only looking slightly up as i type this.

Personally I love having a busy desk. I don't like empty spaces.

Huh. There's something really charming about having all those paints arrayed as they are. Colours, rhythm, regularity that run juxtaposed to an overly crowded, visually noisy/messy space.

^ Those are some weirdly shaped PS3 cases in that cabinet.

Anyway, my desktop area a.k.a. the bedroom:

Can't wait to get my own space.

Awesome stuff in here. Just changed my desk around. It's a standing desk I built from the container store, I love it. Lighting is weak in here since the window faces west, so the photos are okay.

Also just added this! Been slowly doing this lego set over the last few weeks.

Nice! Inspiring. I have to get that lego space shuttle too!

Saw it at the lego store, had to have it. Great fun putting it together as well. Defeintly my favorite lego set I saw there, wouldhave bout the millenium falcon but this is nicer looking and doesnt require as much space.

is that a ferrari branded acer desktop pc? totally looks like a ferrari shield

The truth is much more lame. It was a Gateway I got from woot.com while in school. I needed a proper CPU for Solid Works and it had a quad core 2 duo for cheap, so I bought it. I have since replaced most parts here and there to extend it's life (new PC build is likely to happen this summer) but I was so ashamed to have actually bought a computer and not build one from scratch for the first time in my life since like 7th grade, I put a Ferrari sticker over the Gateway logo. Every time I restart the god damn BIOS reminds me of my shame...Gateway..ugh.

I replaced the iMac with a proper gaming PC and 27in cinema display. Much happier now:

that’s a 27” iMac in the picture, not the cinema display.

that’s actually pretty much what I’ve done. 27” iMac acting as a display for a gaming PC tucked off to the side. works pretty well

I don't use the netbook and macbook pro. I just thought I'd show off, sorry. I really like the setups in this thread. Makes me want to buy some posters to hang up above my computer and built shelves to house some books.

There might be an option in the bios to turn off any splash screens.

when not in gamer mode I use the two monitors in the back in conjunction with the laptop screen

tbh I don't think laptops were meant for gaming but w/e

it gets BF3 @ 1600x900 45-60 fps some settings ultra we happy

Sick, I've always wanted to do a SFF build. How's the temps?

temps are decent. the GTX 560 hits about 60C when gaming, but all the heat is being pushed straight out the side of the case.

I built a SFF specifically for LAN, as I go to the iSeries events over here in the UK several times a year. With this, I can fit my pc, monitor (the dell, I wouldn't take the 27" korean one), sleeping bag and clothes in one suitcase!

My only regret with this build is I cheaped out on the motherboard. Got a fairly basic Asrock one that I discovered can't overclock whatsoever. I'll upgrade it at some point as I'm sure it's bottlenecking the whole system, but decent Mini-ITX boards are pretty hard to find.

wtf, lol. Anyway here's mine, also a bit messy :

OMG, you might have fixed my space problem for a second monitor. My computer sits to my right on the desk and the only place for me to put a screen is to the left of it, but that wouldn't be very good because it would block my view of the door.

If I put the computer BEHIND the first monitor, I can totally put another one tilted on the right, and it would be perfect!
