It has been implied (confirmed) that both brothers grew up on the streets.

But his penis is key to getting Korra to feel truly free, which she needs to master airbending.

You should read my fanfics.

This GIF is amazing.

I don't want to ruin the series for myself just yet.

"But Korra we aren't even married yet. I don't feel comfortable going the whole way." said Bolin. Korra retorted "Look, we all have to make sacrifices. I need to master airbending. I need this. The world needs this."

I was alway wondering, do people really have 'lotion' just standing around on their desk?

I don't have lotion around my desk, but maybe if I lived alone and had a large enough desk I'd consider it.

Nah, Korra was having none of it.

"Yeah, we're together."
"Well not together, more like friends..."
"I didn't mean to imply..."
"Oh, you implied it."

As far as she's concerned they may as well be sacks of meat.

Korra and Mako is as easy to read as Aang and Katara was. It will happen. Unless one of them dies.

Zuko and Katara? Funniest thing I read all day. Shippers gonna ship though. I wish they didn't, however.

I was fine with Katara ending up with Aang.

Also I await the fanbase rage when Aang returns in spirit form, and doesn't act like his 12 year old self.

He shouldn't, though. I look forward to seeing how he has progressed. They can give him a funny side like Tenzin but he should be mature.

Yeah he shouldn't. He should have matured significantly.

But you just know a portion of the fanbase will rage at how much Aang changed.

I was just looking for an excuse to post that.

I'm looking forward to Aang as an adult. We got a lot of his 12 year old self already and I want to see him all wise and mature. I wonder what age we are going to meet him at. In the intro I think we see him as an adult with the beard, airbending. I feel like the statue is teenage Aang but I'm not sure. Tell me what you think:

I'm one of those people that puts my trust into the writers. And this is one show I'm super comfortable in doing that with. Whatever they do, I'm cool with.

I'm thinking that's Aang at the age Zuko and he founded Republic City. Bearded Aang is closer to the age he died.

The most logical assumption would be that he would look like he looked around the time of his death, just like Roku did. Then again, the other Avatars Aang spoke to didn't necessarily look old.

Aang and Katara had two other children. Are we to assume that they are Airbenders as well? Maybe they aren't master though...

It was confirmed that Tenzin was the only airbender out of their children.

They are gone. .

What? They're alive. Tenzin asks after them when he arrives at the water village.

You know, I said they'd be water benders or nothing at all, but we don't know exactly what being an avatar does with the genetic part of bending. Could he pass on earth and fire as well? Maybe they're saving that for later.

I always guessed that Avatars show up lookning like their own mental image of themselves, but I'm not sure. For most people when they die and are old, they see themselves as old men or women. Some Avatars must think of the younger adult version of themselves as the real image and the old age as just the passage of time. Some must have just died young.

Interesting thought. I bet Kya is a water bender, but the two of them having a fire bender would be kind of cool. If that's possible of course.

I thought Katarra said they are "gone" - whoops, not them

That makes sense. Kyoshi was almost 200 years old from what I remeber but she definitely didn't look that old.

I thought Katarra said they are "gone"

"My brother and many of my friends are gone." She was talking about her friends from back then.

We've seen an Aang statue, his children, old Katara, a Toph statue, and her children. There have been some Zuko mentions, but it's pretty weird to me that we haven't seen any statues or anything. I mean, he was the Fire Lord. Oh well, I'm sure they'll show something related to him sooner or later.

Maybe the Fire Lord statues are at the Fire Nation.

They probably are.
Zuko wasn't exactly popular after the war, and I don't think residents from the earth kingdom living in the colonies that eventually became Republic City would like to see a big statue of him.

It's not very logical when you consider that he would be around 67 at his death.

I always wondered how Kyoshi could stay alive that long and what a 200+ year old person would look like. I can't find any explanation for it though.

Indeed. The Aang in the intro looks to be around 20-30. The wiki's say Aang died when he was 65.

Kyoshi appears to be young when Aang sees her. Roku looks like he's in his 60s or 70s. Perhaps the Avatars just choose the way they look in spirit form.

And if that's the case, Aang could very well choose to look like a kid. I'm betting on him looking like the intro version though.

I just noticed the main three's eye colors match their elements/national colors.

Mako = red (Fire nation/bending)
Bolin = green (Earth nation/bending)
Korra = blue (Water tribe/bending)

EDIT: Nevermind. Mako's eyes are more brown. Actually, they flubbed up and his eyes change color a lot during the episode. At one point they are green. Mostly they are tan/brown.

Actually, I was mistaken. His eyes are more tan/brown, not red. If you watch the episode, they actually change color a few times even being green once. Animators must have missed that.

The explanation for her getting that old would be that Avatars that die of natural causes have a much, much longer life span than normal people. So it's not surprising that one of them got 230 years old.

I am sure Aang would have lived 160+ years as well if he didn't use up a big chunk of his years trapped in the ice. (well technically he did live that long)
