The real problem with the Star Wars OT is that it teaches black people can't be trusted.

I'm just sayin' Darth Vader was the villain and was voiced by a black man and then he turned good and became white. Lando sold out his friends and only helped them out when Vader went back on his end of the deal. SUBCONSCIOUS MESSAGING.

Zimmerman admits to shooting, the reason why is suspect, but him pulling the trigger is not in question. Can they tell how a gun was held by that?

but it's vader that ultimately ends up saving the galaxy from the emperor. Vader is the ultimate good guy in the end, the prophecy becomes true, vader is the one that returns balance to the force not luke.

I dont care either, but I feel that this entire Trayvon thing has gone off the deep end, the media circus has already made the entire event a joke.
 
Can't believe how many days I have said that the updates to this thread just get more and more ridiculous. Has anyone else done any real dirt on this former judge? Just how much fucking power can one guy have? Falsifying police reports? Why would they do this for some random asshole? Zimmerman or his family must have some pretty fucking substantial dirt.

If I say you were all over me and I had to shoot you, the amount of residue on my clothing, and its location on my clothing, would indicate how I was holding the gun.

I think the morgue report is more damning then the video. If there was no trauma injury other then the bullet wound that ultimate means 1 thing, no struggle happened. He has no visible damage from inflicting wounds on Zimmerman (unless he had a weapon somehow and it disappeared!) and he also has no damage on his body from Zimmerman which might have depicted a struggle engaged from either side. Which ultimately means Trayvon Martin was shot without struggle, essentially shot in cold blood.

I guess it reflects negatively on my level of cynicism that I was anticipating freaking Ablow to be unleashed from whatever "expert's" basement they keep him in for the last several days of this maddeningly terrible story----for those that don't know he's pretty suspect/scummy in his own right and is a favorite attack piece they like to trot out when it suits. Ugh.

The guy has said some pretty disgusting things. I honestly can't imagine him actually making a living as a psychiatrist because of how much of an ass he is, and how inept he seems.

Not following the conversation as it currently stands, and no doubt y'all are already aware of the media coverage, but my gf just walked through the door on return from a trip to the States. One of the first things she said was... every American(sic) news channel is covering that kid you were talking about that got shot in Florida.... I asked if that included Fox and she said yes.

Then she said the next big story was a story about "Starbucks putting bugs in some of their hot drinks".

But I guess it's something.
 
I think that Zimmerman is a muderer, but i dont really think that the event was racially motivated. I definetly think that Zimmerman probably felt more threatened by the fact Trayvon was black, but I wouldn't put it past him to shoot someone dresses like a skinhead either given the circumstances. Of course I feel like this is debateable, as I seem to have a radically different understand as to what consitiutes race relation then people here on gaf.

If anything, i think Zimmerman has some metal issues on acocunt for all of the paranoia, that he also had authoritative issues (the fighting and abuse), and that the events that occured were an unfortunate combination of circumstance. I dont think a man like that should've been allowed to own a gun, be neighborhood watch, and I definetly dont think his actions are justifiable to any degree.

I Also think that the police need to be held in just as similar scrutiny for their actions. What a fuckup. If anything is racially motivated, it's the police' involvement, or lack there of, in what happened.

I think this moment in the struggle will be very important in framing intent. If there are no gunpowder burns Treyvon's clothing, or skin it is very damning to Zimmerman's story. Also where Zimmerman kept the gun will be key. Is it in an ankle holster? In his waist? In his shirt? How long was it from when he drew the till he fired? Did he have time to aim? Or was it a point blank affair with Treyvon on top of him.

People are reaching like Stretch Armstrong, and exposing themselves. I just don't get it.

There are also a myriad of factors involved, but since it's someone I know and respect, I can't really divulge the main reasons why that is.

I completely disagree with them, though.

But now an even bigger question is why did he fear for his life? He has no apparent injuries in the video (although not all broken noses cause bleeding) and Trayvon has no injuries/cuts to indicate he fought at all unless he was using his iced tea, cellphone, and bag of skittles.

My wife's comment to me is that she's sad he has no blood on his clothing from Trayvon. He shot someone and that person laid dying in front of him and he did nothing to aid the kid, which she assumes would have transferred blood from Trayvon onto Zimmerma. Cradle him, hold him, do something. You just murdered a kid.

The more I read, the more that reality just sinks in. I remember when we all thought he was in the morgue for days because they had no wallet or ID. Then we find out they knew exactly who he was and kept him in the morgue for 3 days without contacting the family anyway.

I just can't, GAF. I just...I'm getting that anger welling up. May need to take a break.

People just hate being wrong.

Put so much belief and emotion into something, and then to admit you're wrong, would either lead to reevaluating everything which is never a bad thing or a nervous breakdown.
It's easier to continue on the same route for most.

They had his phone from the start. What kind of cop can't figure out who someone is by their phone?
 
The lack of physical bruising and blood one Zimmerman combined with the fact that Trayvon had no visible signs of cuts and bruises kinda validates my original theory.

Zimmerman caught up to Trayvon, confronted him and then most likely tied to grab and subdue him. Trayvon fought back and maybe inadvertently hit Zimmerman in the nose and the two ended up on the ground (maybe Zimmerman hits his head at this point). Zimmerman then tried to subdue Trayvon (who is now screaming for help) and as a means to end the struggle and stop Trayvon from screaming and possibly retaliating or getting away, he shoots and kills him.

Just so you're aware, this is not an accurate statement of Florida law. Zimmerman is not necessarily entitled to use lethal force in self defense if he was on the ground getting his ass kicked.

Yea...what if Zimmerman tried to restrain him and Trayvon fought back? Someone should forward this theory to the investigators..

But where was it stated they knew who he was at 3:00AM? The implication was that they didn't because the morgue still had him listed as a John Doe.

The police reports are not public so long as an investigation is pending. What has been released so far has all been leaked. The police should have documented Zimmerman's injuries. But I wouldn't be surprised at all if they didn't.
