He'll never be better than HBK, or be bigger than Rock or Austin, no matter how many World titles he gives himself or how many vignettes talking about how he was in the great match ever he runs.
He's been in others shadows even as a main event guy, and he's never let it go. Others like, i don't know, Edge, or Mick Foley, for instance, they were main event guys. They weren't Austin big, but they were still main eventers and they seemed happy with what they got, and realised it's not possible or them to be Austin big.
HHH never seemed to realise that. He isn't "the best" or "the biggest" no matter what he does, but of course, he's in a position of power so he gets to try and make people believe he is through stories based around him being dominant or endless title reigns. He's no different from Hogan in that "mememememememe" mentality, only Hogan really was the biggest star ever. HHH was (is, I guess) a big, main event wrestler. Just like dozens of others. That's it, though, he was NEVER the true megastar.
I just don't think he has that it factor. Like Cena.

Trips first heel run though, with DX, it was very enjoyable. I marked out for the guy, really.
It's just that he was never able to elevate himself past that. Rock had like 3 or 4 different iterations of his character and even Heel Austin was frigging amazing in my book (Dude was funny, come on).
Edge I'd actually put above Trips, dude had some awesome moments and the three TLC matches with Christian made him a legend in my book. Much more then the Hell in a Cell "legacy" Trips is claiming.

Dude, tell me about it. I won't get to watch either till tomorrow and I'm torn on wether to watch WM first or the two GoT eps. Fucking mindbreaker.
Might just end up throwing a coin or something to decide or splitting the viewings up and watching 1 hour of WM, 1 ep of GoT, 2 more hours of WM and then ep 2 of GoT.
All good things must come in pairs.

Yeah, Dutch HBO Go is hosting the first two tomorrow (time difference and what not). Don't know if US HBO Go is doing the same tbh.
