And rewatching TLA is so much fun.

"Name's Fire. Wang Fire. And this is my wife, Saph Fire"

Her name was Sapphire Fire!

Just re-watched season 3, and I have to say, I liked it better than the first time I saw it. I think i helped that I was able to watch all of the episodes in quick succession and not wait on Nick to actually air the damn episodes. Really helped a lot.

Still, not as good as season 2, but Id put it a lot closer than I did previously. Season 1 still the weakest, but still great

Oh, and the finale still is all sorts of awesome

There is no way Bolin would've ever won.

It would go against all narrative tradition to have Bolin win.

Just got my older brother into ATLA. Was a bit worried he'd not like the fact that it's a Nickelodeon show, but he took a gamble since I introduced him to a long string of anime that he loved, such as Welcome to the NHK, GitS: SAC, Baccano!, and Eden of the East.

He loves it, and I'm going to get him straight onto the Korra premiere once he's finished (we're on SE01E12). It's nice to re-watch it in the run up to Korra anyway.

Mako: Level headed, serious, bends FIRE.
Korra: Impulsive, rash, bends WATER*

I bet the writers were creaming themselves when they came up with this setup.

And fire and earth and eventually air

my memory might perhaps be a little hazy, but was Aang really struggling the most with Earth? I haven't rewatched the show yet, but up until now I was pretty sure it was Fire.

Aang could always bend fire. He just afraid to because he burnt Katara the first time he tried he couldn't bend earth because he couldn't wrap his head around the mindset needed to bend that element.

And Avatar Roku called learning water bending "bitter work" if I'm remembering correctly.

Assuming Zuko managed to reform Fire's bending style back to traditional Sun Dragon levels, it makes sense.

Is there an episode 03?

Checking iTunes I only see the free hd episode which is I'm guessing r episodes 1-2

Wait, Korra is available on iTunes?!

*checks*

Season Pass GET!

Whew. I was really worried I wasn't going to be able to watch this series since I canceled my cable. I'm sooo glad they're putting it up for purchase on iTunes. In HD no less!

There's actually a level of genius when you realize Korra hasn't ever been the one to throw the first punch. Which fits with waterbending.

Watching the vid again and its like the creators are saying "fuck your ships son, fuck your ships"
then they might troll somehow

Plus we get to see the full scene
of her going though the course without getting it.

Yea she just taunts the fuck out of them until they react.

Yep, I'm convinced. They're doing the romance early so fans can have a chance to get over it while the series is happening. Not sure whether or not I agree with it or not but....

Also, Keep in mind that this whole series was originally supposed to be only 12 episodes until Nick ordered more. So some aspects of the the story will progress faster then the first show.

Can children inherit their bending skills from their grandparents?

I wanna see if Bumi/Kya had any children and are able to airbend.

Seems like it since

1. the other benders are Avatars
2. it looks like the type of moves Aang would do.

And they would also be the most recent avatars (Kiyoshi -> Roku -> Aang -> Korra)

It would be rather odd for them to have 3/4 and then grab some other random Air Nomad Avatar from however many hundreds of years ago the last Air Nomad Avatar lived and not just use adult Aang.

That's my rationale, anyway.
