Got my Reggie. I'll be disappointed if his magic spell isn't a golden chin laser that blasts him through the last few rooms of find Mii with little resistance.
This has definitely not been my experience. If I accumulate 10 StreetPasses in Mii Plaza it doesn't take in any more until I at least go to the plaza gate - and it'll start collecting passes again while I'm still greeting those 10. If I wait until I go home to check the plaza gate, there will never be anyone beyond those 10.
So last night I went to the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in Tampa hoping to get a few Streetpasses but NADA. Geez, seriously wtf...there were probably 30,000 people there and nobody was weird enough like me to bring their 3DS over? =/
okay, so when i go to the zelda concert, i should constantly be checking my mii plaza, for fear of missing out on streetpasses? that sucks, did anyone else spend their time at the show doing this a lot?
I imagine you'll have to do a lot of checking while moving around, but not so much while seated for the show itself. I like to check the notifications to see just how many passes are queued up and only launch Mii plaza/go to the plaza gate if I'm near full. To get the most out of it you have to do puzzle swap/find Mii before going to the plaza gate again.
speaking of - is streetpassing the only way to start a new puzzle? there's always people who have 3-4 entire boards ive not seen, can you not randomly get a new puzzle piece from paying 2 coins ever?
I never get streetpasses! ;_;
I've walked around my uni with the 3ds, always bring it when I go to friends etc. Iwata is my only streetpass, haha.
ah, see, i get swapnote hits from here @ GAF a lot so most notifications are from that, might have to turn it off while im there. don't you usually only get 1 notification from a batch of streetpasses though? maybe ive not been watching that screen.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but... when I go to Mii Plaza, the arrow to get to the gate thingy is now gone on my 3DS. Before, it was always there, even if nobody had shown up. Now, that arrow simply doesn't exist.
I have StreetPass and SpotPass both set to on. Any idea where my arrow went?
It's only ever shown up for me if someone new has arrived.
Did you recently get your first StreetPass tag? The arrow is always there until you get your first StreetPass tag, after which it only appears if you get a new StreetPass tag while in the StreetPass Mii Plaza.Weird. It had always been there for me, until I turned my 3DS off and on yesterday (which I think is the first time I've done so since getting it).
The range is approximately 100 feet, and StreetPass connections are usually instant, though sometimes it may take awhile to register for whatever reason.51 Streetpass Miis since Christmas. I must have good luck.
Any idea what the range is on this thing or how long it takes for a Streetpass to register? Pretty sure I get Miis just by zooming past a Gamestop at 40 mph.

I've gotten StreetPasses while going 65mph on the freeway, so it's definitely possible at high speeds.holy shit. wow, I didn't know that the signal is that strong.
no wonder a friend of mine gets tons of streetpasses everyday by doing nothing but living above one of the busiest streets. He puts his 3DS on the window seat in the morning and has up to 5 hits later in the evening.
hhmmm.....thinking of it: It may be worth it to put the 3DS on the dashboard while driving.
the question is: what's the speed limit?
That and all these rooms that make you waste miis without ever knowing beforehand what you will need. That and the pink puzzle pieces left a bad taste. It's to get more longevity out of these, I know but it does a poor job at motivating me.I got him, went into Find Mii 2, and he got scared off by a mummy.
The enemies in Find Mii 2 are dicks.
Same. If I want streetpass hits, I need to visit the 3 stores in the city that still have the demo 3DS....i have wasted so many goddamn coins
What's this about only ten StreetPasses?
You can only receive 10 in a queue before you need to go through the plaza and accept them all.
How many seconds do you need for a StreetPass hit to happen?
Thanks.
How do you clear StreetPasses then?
Clear StreetPasses as in erase all of them? Or clear them, so you have a fresh queue?
As in have a fresh queue.
I didn't know you could erase them.
You just go to your Mii Plaza and if you have any StreetPasses, they'll show up. Go through the list by basically hitting A, take any puzzle pieces you want and use them to go through your Find Mii quests and the queue will empty.
Oh, okay thanks.
For other games, I just go through the Notifications, right?
To my understanding, there's always a trigger of some sort to empty the queue.
In Mario Kart, you have to go to the Mario Kart Channel for it to process and empty the queue (which is more important, since the upper limit on streetpasses for MK7 is 3 instead of the plaza's 10).
In 3D Land....well I'm not so sure. The limit there is 3 as well, but what triggers and empties the queue? I can't say. Maybe just loading a file up so it dumps the mushroom houses? Don't quote me on that one.
Ditto on Kid Icarus or Harvest Moon, haven't had any streetpasses for those yet.
Thank you do much!
So every game has its own separate StreetPass queue, as opposed to a universal queue at the OS level like I'd been afraid of. That's good to know.
Same. If I want streetpass hits, I need to visit the 3 stores in the city that still have the demo 3DS.
Unless I go to a bigger city, where I'll get 2 streetpass hits max from actual 3DS owners, it's either making a trip to the demo 3DSes or cough up coins.
Yeah.
Hold on, I'll get you a photo.

Basically each streetpass game has a separate queue that looks like this. This is 3D Land with all 3 slots filled. I should fire the game up to empty it.
I used to wonder what that little number is
Thankfully, I clear out a StreetPass as soon as I get it.
Some more miscellaneous questions I have: why aren't StreetPass notifications saved? Why does the StreetPass Transfers option in my System Settings menu read zero?
Lol, sorry for bombarding you with questions.
Heh, it's fine. I'm home sick today so whatever.
Not sure why the streetpass notifications aren't saved but the spotpass ones are persistent. I wish I could delete the four trillion swapnote entries I've got. It's very cluttered.
As for that counter under the options, mine reads the same. I assume it's just a bug. It's never worked for me.
Ah, I see. Well, I hope you feel better soon!
And yeah, 'Mark Read' and 'Delete' options for the Notifications will be much appreciated in the next firmware update.
And I've never checked, but maybe the counter only shows uncleared StreetPasses...?
Got 6 streetpasses, but only one with any new puzzle pieces.:/
