Two good games on top of a massive pile of shit. Great track record.

If only the name matters to you, not the gameplay or anything else, then just put a fucking sticker on your Sonic Unleashed, Colours or Generations box and there you go, you have your Sonic Adventure 3.Like I said, they didn't use the name. So they really could, no, should deny the existence of Sonic 06. Hope.
Why do people still care about Sonic?
It's the equivalent of say, SE, releasing 5 FFXIII games for every [insert your favourite FF here].
You think people would wise up and just decide not to give a shit anymore
It's obvious they have no idea what the fans want
Why shouldn't I care about games I've enjoyed in the past few years? Why do people still care about Sonic?

Or he could use the Japanese box for Sonic Unleashed and edit out "world" and add in the 3.If only the name matters to you, not the gameplay or anything else, then just put a fucking sticker on your Sonic Unleashed, Colours or Generations box and there you go, you have your Sonic Adventure 3.

So a track record turns good games into bad and unenjoyable ones? Two good games on top of a massive pile of shit. Great track record.
By this I mean that the fact that no game has been called Sonic Adventure 3 yet gives them a chance to actually make a good game out of this, instead of assuming that 06 is SA3.
The Sonic Adventure name has been dead since the Gamecube outside of Japan. Why bring it back in 2012? Kids that get their parents to buy them Sonic games have no idea the first two exist.
Hopefully Iizuka has nothing to do with it.
Well SA is already on PSN/XBLA/Steam.
Add SA2 and the whole story is now accessible for all.
Don't say that SEGA are only targeting 'kids' with Sonic, look at Generations, its just full of old school stuff for us to smile at.
Plus I guess that a quick resume of the story could be easily done in an opening video or something like that.
This
I really don't get what Sega is thinking, they had Sonic back on track with Colors and Generations, just copy that don't do something gimmicky and open world >_<
Or he could use the Japanese box for Sonic Unleashed and edit out "world" and add in the 3.

Jesus died for Sonic's sins

Not to sound condescending, but you're sort of missing my argument. What does Sega gain by releasing a "Sonic Adventure 3" instead of calling that same game "Sonic Journey" or any other inane combination of words? Outside of gamers that had Dreamcasts and/or Gamecubes a decade ago, that name means absolutely nothing. I'm pretty sure that series is over as far as Sega is concerned.
I'd say that's still a strong audience to target.
You can't run on nostalgia forever.
Unless you're Nintendo.
Yeah, because nostalgia is all Nintendo has going for it. It's not like it has unique hardware or gameplay innovations to go along with that nostalgia. Nope.![]()

Sonic 2014!

I was joking.
I figured haha. But I'm sure certain people actually feel that way. "All they release is sequels!!!" and all that.
Came here to post this. Given what they've done with Sonic until now, it would be a total mess.OPEN WORLD? NO PLEASE NO
