Yeah, we've known that for a while. The interesting thing is that they've opted for a private meeting room, even though the only two games we know they're working on -- CS:GO and Dota 2 -- have been in public beta for months, and in the case of the latter, E3 "isn't really the right type of venue [for Dota 2]." So, the question is, just what do they plan on showing? ;)

I don't think there is one. While the OP of that BMS thread mentions a Valve employee originally tweeting the pic, the Steamcast tweet credits Reddit user billthejim.

Almost all of them are big reveals, too bad there isn't much PC love. I wouldn't be surprised if HL3 never gets a cover on GI since It probably would be revealed at some expo instead.

Portal 2 was announced via an ARG in March 2010 (the cryptic update to Portal). GI unveiled the game the following month.

The first part of the ARG lead to that cover reveal and at the same time the reveal of Portal 2.

There was the ARG, and then there was the official reveal in GI.

Shouldn't there be some leaks by now? What day of the month do people who would leak a cover usually get their hands on a GI?
 
Wait... these "jaw-dropping" screenshots, surely we won't just get a concept art cover/text blurb cover? I'm assuming that people who'll get their hands on the mag will be able to partake in these brain-meltingly amazing shots...

So the cover could technically be nothing else than a text of [insert name of anticipated sequel] ( because it sure as hell won't be a new IP ) and no pictures, screens or anything in the mag itself.

Let's hope that's the case. I'm more and more leaning towards the less optimistic scenario, plain text/artwork on the cover and no screenshots. Because let's be honest, a title is enough to get people to talk.
