Last night I had a dream that a commercial came on TV. It stated, "See it before it hits theaters. The Dark Knight Rises is going to air on Fox." So, I was thinking, "Oh shit! Should I watch it on this crappy resolution TV with commercials and stuff? Or should I just wait until it comes out in theaters? But everyone will be talking about it after it airs." Anyway, I ended up going to a party where a bunch of people got together to watch it on TV.

It was all in "dream time" but I remember that the first hour or so was essentially just legal stuff in Gotham. A courtroom scene, evidence gathering, and stuff. Batman didn't appear. Bruce shows up in a few scenes, but he's not the focus of them. Gordon wasn't present. Then out of nowhere the Joker shows up. He's played by Edward James Olmos. Everyone in the room was really confused. The Joker was very depressed acting and didn't really do anything interesting. He said he was going to give up his life of crime. By two hours, Batman still hasn't appeared, and neither have Bane or Catwoman, at all. I started to question whether this was actually The Dark Knight Rises, or just some weird tie-in special. Then I woke up.

.... I'd say there's an 60% chance, that the real movie turns out like this.

What the hell does 'Batten down the hatches' mean? Who talks like that?

I've heard it plenty of times. Lots of houses where I live have hatches in the gardens and shutters over their windows. When there's a storm, you batten them down or they get fucking noisy. Simple.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/dark-knight-rises-pg-13-rating-309633

The rating means Dark Knight Rises is completely finished — sound and score included — more than three months before its July 20 release date. That’s an unusual accomplishment for an epic tentpole movie these days, most of which are finalized just weeks before their release. The Amazing Spider-Man, which opens July 2, doesn’t have a rating yet, nor does Prometheus, the Ridley Scott-directed sci-fi film set to open June 8. It also means the cut of the movie screened by Nolan for top Warners brass March 16 was far from a rough print and was close to his final version. The timeline highlights how efficient Nolan is as a filmmaker.

The early rating also fires the starter pistol for the most aggressive phase of Warners' marketing plan, according to sources. As a follow-up to a movie that grossed $1 billion worldwide, hit status for Rises seems inevitable. But Warners clearly isn’t leaving anything to chance: With three months to go and a ratings label in hand, the studio will be able to hone its message with laser-like focus. It also means Warners will be able to start screening the movie for tastemakers and critics. If it chooses to, of course. (UPDATE: Warners says Nolan could still make small technical tweaks to the movie, so it's not quite ready for screenings.)

Batman Begins and Dark Knight are so good, just the idea that I'm going to get another movie like that overloads the pleasure centers in my brain.

Not sure how getting the rating will allow them to ramp up their marketing.

Compared to TDK, the marketing for this one has been really under the radar. Or maybe its because last time it was all about "THE JOKER" and the first trailer for TDK was much better than the trailer we got for this one.

Imagine if it leaked like Wolverine did. The interwebs would go crazy.

It is praticaly finished .... so no "so bad it is good" version =/

On a related note, Elite Squad leaked version had insane sales in Brazil .... and the movie become one of the highest grossings in Brazilian's theaters.

I'll also let you know when he makes movies with shitty actors like Billy Zane and Sam Worthington in them.

If Nolan can make a critically acclaimed movie with Billy Zane or Sam Worthington in any sort of leading roles I really will be impressed. He's always welcome to take a stab at directing Tom Arnold as well.
