Did you guys watch the game? Because Backstrom took two or three whacks at Thomas' glove when he clearly had it covered. Refs aren't going to protect someone who pulls that bush league crap.
edit: You can see the last slash he takes (after the whistle) at the beginning of the clip, but everyone wants to ignore that.
The indefensible play by Thomas was when he tried to kick the legs out from under one of the Caps players for hovering in his crease after a whistle.

This is my biggest worry. The Flyers worst games this year have been the afternoon games. Curse you Richards and Carter for making the guys think it is okay to go out drinking the night before a game.
Just woke up; man I was feeling pretty cynical about the Blackhawks win yesterday, pulling a game out of their butts without really deserving it, but feeling a little more optimistic now I guess. 3 playoff games in a row where the Hawks show that they are playing till that final regulation buzzer for sure. Hopefully they are headed home with a bit of momentum and can start out sharp on Tuesday.

I hate afternoon games, anyways let's go Detroit, need this win to take the series lead and give us some momentum.
I heard an interview with Lovejoy that gave me a little more hope. He said that they don't need to change their system, just their execution. While I don't agree that their system isn't in need of adjustment, I'm glad that he knows they haven't been executing. Too many mental mistakes.

I have a group meeting right after the start of the Wings game here at 1, so I have to leave at like 12:30ish. Luckily I can stream the game from where I'll be at.

I'm pretty sure you can get CBS ABC NBC and Fox? with an antenna but it probably depends on where you live and how far away from the signal you are.

Yup, they need to pick it up here, especially some of our stars, they need to get better shots on net and try to create more opportunities.
As odd it feels watching midday hockey, it is SO awesome to have a full day of playoff hockey. This should've been hyped like crazy by the league. Nothing major is going on right now with the other sports, and with how these series are going, it should've been sold like a super sunday for the NHL.
