Got a Vita for my b-day.

Few questions:
1. I connected to mij PS3 PSN-account, wanted to download a game but to bad. No memory. Do I need to buy a memory card?
2. Can you just download PSP games from the store?
3. On my PS3 I have a USA-EU-JP account. Can you switch between the accounts on your VITA?

Thank you. BTW Im from Europ.

1. Yes, the Vita has no internal memory.
2. Some games you can download from the store, other games you have to download to your PS3 and then transfer to your Vita.
3. Not like you can on your PS3. You can only have one account at the time on your Vita.

So it turns out I can't download games like Valkyria Chronicles 2 onto my Vita even though it works which is a kick in the balls since my PS3 died. Is there any way around this?

Have you tried Media Go for your PC, and using the Content Manager as well? Not sure if content manager works well, have not tried it with PC, but Media Go is great for accessing the store via PC.

Anyone else has crystal mines for psp? It's a fun but really unknown(try searching on google, gamefaqs or other) remake of a boulder dash clone, it has 300 levels, but i'm blocked at level 46, any help? :(

Sony has a PC application, I think it's called Media Go? I used it to download games when I was lacking a wifi router. You can download and transfer through USB.

So much this

Looks gorgeous, shame on the difficulty for now (15 hours in) it's too freakin easy :x

Still i'm loving every second of it

Wait, there's an RPG that is too easy? This may be one for me then. ;) I've never finished one. Best I did was get through something like 40% of one of the final fantasies.

Just to ask... has anybody tried Darkstalkers Collection on Vita?
How does it play with the d-pad of the new console?
If works fine (=better that on PSP) i might get it... i feel like playing Darkstalkers again.

Could someone recommend me a PSP game to buy? I'm pretty much a fan of anything but am in the mood for an RPG or a Platformer right now.

I see you bought Ys in a later post but seriously check out Trails in the Sky. Incredible. I've been playing it non-stop for a couple weeks now with no sign of stopping. Great RPG.

:) New owner of a PS Vita....
What games sould I buy? Please advice me

Depends on your tastes. Uncharted, Hot Shots Golf, Wipeout 2048, Unit 13, Motorstorm RC, FIFA, Lumines, Rayman, Mutant Blobs Attack, Super Stardust Delta... lots of great games.

Games I bought and enjoy thoroughly:
- Wipeout 2048 (my personal favourite!)
- Rayman Origins
- Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack
- Super Stardust Delta
- Uncharted: Golden Abyss
- Lumines: Electronic Symphony

And then there's all the great PSP games that look amazing on the Vita's screen.

Blah! My Vita came on Saturday from Amazon Warehouse. It was supposed to be in "Like New" condition, but...it looks pretty beat. Not so happy about it. I'm really not THAT picky of a person, but I did expect this to look better than the demo units at Target. That's what it resembles. I'm sending the following email to Amazon, but I don't expect much to be done:

----------------
I love you guys to death (huge Amazon fanboy), but this purchase is majorly disappointing. I am not sure if I want to actually return it, but the "Like New" description was not accurate in the least. It has scratches, fingerprints, smudges, dirt, etc.

It's almost like someone was eating a big, greasy pepperoni pizza each time they played it. The buttons needed some serious cleaning, as there was a ton of grease around that area. There's like a permanent stain spot in the middle of the buttons on the right side of the device. I don't think Jesus Himself could remove that substance. I'm not even sure he could identify it.

The triggers look like a bunch of tiny cats had a dance party all over them. It's a total scratch disco!

Oh well, I just thought I'd toss you guys an email and let you know. And maybe see what all my options are. Thanks for hearing me out.

----------------

Sigh. I'll probably just keep it and enjoy the games. I got a great price, so I'm not crying too much.
I bought my Asus Transformer tablet (also like-new) from AWD. It definitely was NOT like-new. I called CS and asked for a partial refund. Got 20% off. Tablet was $350, but it only cost me $280. That was the first time I had ever had an issue with AWD. Also bought my Vita on AWD. It came untouched.

Want a VITA so bad, as I haven't owned a handheld device since the original gameboy. If/when the VITA supports what it was advertised to (PS1+PSN games, or at least remote play of them), I plan to pick one up right then.

With PS+, I feel like I have a huge catalog of PS1/PSN/Minis that should be able to be played on it. I'm not sure if Sony has completely back tracked yet or if they still plan to make this work?

Every time it's brought up they insist it's still coming.

If what you mean by PSN games is PS3 games that were not distributed in a Blu-ray disc then the Vita will never play them.

Minis are playable already like other PSP games.

UGH. I hope the Vita I got off eBay is in decent shape and not covered in boogers or whatever. It looked fine in photos, but you can never tell...

PS1 games work with remote play now. Minis work right now. Vita has it's own PSN games, but it will never play PS3 PSN games unless remote play is allowed.

I'm a patient and understanding guy that has seen many a system launch, but, fuck me we need some new games soon. I'm jonesing to play on my Vita but all the games I want to play are PC/PS3/iOS instead.

New games please. Hell, just sort the PS1 support out to tide me over or something.

I agree with everything you said. Heck, if they give me full remote play of PS3/PSN titles, I'll buy a Vita within the hour.

Does Media Go support the Vita? I thought everything had to go through the new content manager?
Sorry guys I thought for sure it would support Vita. It probably will at some point in time.
No, Media Go will never support the Vita... the whole point of Content Manager is to prevent people from manipulating the files they get onto the Vita; it's a security issue. Sony is serious about preventing hacking this time around.

This is why I buy all electronics NEW unless I can handle them in person first... well, excepting certain exotic/rare collectibles I've picked up over the years that you're just not going to find nearby...

I understand you wanting something new and exciting for the Vita, but honestly, I've got a half dozen launch games I've hardly touched still... There's too much good stuff to play now for my limited gaming time!! (don't get me wrong, I still want more tho')

How many games did you buy at launch?

Factory-refurbished products should be in pristine condition. It's only the "refurbished" items (i.e. actually used) that you should really worry about.

I don't want more. I need more. My appetite is voracious.

Retail:
Uncharted: GA
Dynasty Warriors Next
Touch My Katamari
Ridge Racer
Lumines: Electronic Symphony
Everybody's Golf

PSN:
Motorstorm RC
Super Stardust
Attack of the Mutant Blobs From Space
Hustle Kings

They've pretty much all been great games but I'm largely done with them now. Thing is, the Vita hardware is so damned awesome that I want to use it more!

What's everyone's opinion on Touch My Katamari? I read some reviews that said it felt stale compared to the recent Katamari games, but is it worth it if I haven't played any of them other than the original?

Ah, that's pretty cool! Hopefully they offer me something similar. I've purchased heaps of things from them in the past, and never had an issue. First time with a Warehouse deal, however. People on other forums seem to rave about how everything is "OMG BRAND NEW!" - so I thought I'd risk it. Bad idea.

I guess I'd still order a game or something from Amazon Warehouse, but I'd be extremely cautious about electronic devices unless you lie swimming in fingerprints and scratches. And grease. And maybe some other human body fluid/grime.

I think my Vita was owned by the Interior Semiotics girl....

Since you seem to be aware of what's going on with this thing, maybe you can verify the quote I have above.

My research and the link in my post up, shows that almost none of the PS1 classics work, even on remote play. But someone here says otherwise, can you verify one way or another?

If remote play works, I can deal with that as I'd largely be using it at home anyways. From what I've read, the PS3/PS3psn titles won't work unless the developers patch the game itself. But all PS1 and Minis should be able to be remote played at the least for me to buy this thing.

That link says all PSOne Classics are compatible.

Just filling out a (official) survey:

EDIT: Also mentions Skype in the same question...

It's clearly a trick question to pick out bad responses.

Just received my used Vita from Amazon. The box was beat up and no charger included. Can't really tell if anything is wrong with it till I buy a charger because since I can't turn it on I will assume the battery is dead.
