Entreat the Angels is awesome, and very similar to Decree of Justice. Angel of Glory's Rise is neat, very flavorful, I like it.

Okay, so basically fuck me personally. That card might as well say " Fuck WanderingWind and his favoritest zombie deck"

Fuck you white

I think I just rage quit Magic.

My favorite deck of this block is GW Humans, and MaRo said not long ago that Hamlet Captain is the "Captain" lord for the Human tribe for INN block.

That's some real rage inducing shit right there.

EDIT:

Some Human hate.

I like Entreat. Ratchet Bomb sort of makes it iffy for a standard finisher (especially when we have wonderful cards like Batterskull, Gideon and Concession Sphinx), but I'm sure it will wind up being a standard player somewhere. Not better than Decree though for eternal formats, and Lingering Souls is still the best token generator ever made if you just want a bunch of bodies around.

Human Fraility is just a more narrow Deathmark for Block constructed. Defy Death is blah. Glory of Angel's rise could be hilarious in some weird human-based Dredge deck in Modern but that's fifty times more cute than good. Demonic Rising is just another bad expensive black enchantment that's flavor over function. Wake me up when they print something from the oopsie pool power level like Recurring Nightmare or Phyrexian Arena.

edit: regarding that land-if it sees wide play (dubious somewhat, as in most aggro matchups you really don't want counters anyway), then you'd see less countermagic being played overall, and then you're probably losing to heaps of removal/mass removal into gideon+concession sphinx out of a Esper or UW deck or a primeval/inferno titan gangbang from a ramp deck that is now much better positioned due to lack of countermagic in the format. The cards that best define the way an aggro deck fights blue decks remain largely unchanged with the exception of Delver flipping into mana leak freerolls but that's something everyone can agree is stupid.

The card is obviously terrific in Commander, but not too much of a big deal in other formats outside of wacky cases like Legacy 12post.

I will not be happy until I am in a game where zombie apocalypse is cast immediately followed by Angel of Glory's Rise.

I think they're going a bit nuts with the flavor here.

Talk about narrow applications.

It can be played in any deck with bombastic creatures that just need to hit battlefield. Doesn't need to be the lates tribal pile.

Is this standard with the titans? Or does M12 rotate out with avacyn?

I was thinking about the Zombie killing angel when I wrote that.

Exile Zombies and resurrect Humans? I'm not sure if that would work even in an EDH deck.

In before someone attempting to build a Human EDH deck around her to spite me

Yea i suppose thats true. Colorless mana is actually one of the better things about this card. And does not come in tapped.

It's cute enough for me to like it. *shrug* Not a good card though.

Also, WTF, THAT LAND WAS REAL? Huntmaster wolf-run is now the best deck in the format.

Translation please?

When [this] enters the battlefield, choose a creature type.

[T] : Add (1) to your mana pool.
[T] : Add one mana of any color to your mana pool. Spend this mana only to cast a creature of the chosen type and the creature cannot be countered.

so looks like this might be "Land of Awesome" possibly officially known as "Cavern of Souls"

Bwa ha ha ha ha. Fuck you, blue! Also, "loses to counter magic" is no viable as a complaint for a bomb.

Maybe I just don't have the depth of understanding of the game, but I don't see a scenario where 90% of decks aren't running a playset of these. Since it still generates colorless mana, the risk is fairly minimal.

I guess blue decks are obligated to run Ghost Quarter now?

Oh man, Cave of Cheer. Counter decks are done with. *ohwowsailorpic*

Some of the complaints my buddies had about phyrexian mana was that they didn't feel the cards where unique to a deck since you can run it with any color. CoC will let you splash almost any creature now.

That land is totally wild. I wonder if there will be a flicker permanent card in the set that you can use to reset the creature type. Or I suppose you can just Primeval Titan in multiples (since it isn't legendary) and never worry about counterspells ever again.

I love the shakeup. Not real happy about flavor overwhelmingly favoring anything but black this block - especially considering that black hasn't exactly been the top color this past time around, but hey.

Fuck blue control.

The blue green land is 99% confirmed as

Add 1 to your mana pool.
gu, t: Until end of turn, non-land cards you own have flash.

Per MTG Salvation mod from same source as the above land.

I can't believe it keeps creatures from being countered. Wizards is trolling. I'm happy though, fuck blue.

Isn't delver a lot better also? Snapcaster and delver both can't be countered now.

What crazy meta are you playing in where decks were winning just because of counter spells, and are now screwed? Control has been under performing for ages I don't see why the game needed this

Looks like RUG has a new friend.

Also, that Cavern is interesting, but I'm not sure it'll be as format warping as some may think. That said, I'm going to need one for my Karrthus EDH deck. :)

Now they just need M13 to bring back Stone Rain, Sinkhole, Ice Storm, etc...
Or at least Spreading Seas and Evil Presence.

I don't think just because but it's definitely annoying to have to wait and bait incase they have one. Especially with B/U control having dissipate. It lets you run better is all.

Well evil presence is around now so I don't know if they'll reprint it for m13.

Having to play around counters is infinitely more interesting than a card that blanks them. Fun cards are interactive, this is the opposite.
The G/U one is really cool, although not sure it can do much in standard with current manabases
