Anyone picking up Disgaea 3 this week? I have it on PS3 but never got around to playing it, seems like it would be better suited on Vita.

Yep. I'm in the same boat. I've logged 100+ hours on PSP Disgaea games but don't think I played 10 total on my PS2/PS3 Disgaea attempts.

I regret not preordering it through NISA though. Dat cloth :(

Never played one before, but I'm tempted. No idea how it plays or what it's about though, I don't suppose there's much chance of a demo?

What's everyone's opinion on Touch My Katamari? I read some reviews that said it felt stale compared to the recent Katamari games, but is it worth it if I haven't played any of them other than the original?

It's really really short but it's the best portable Katamari game so it has that going for it. Framerate is very poor but that's not exactly new if you're used to the previous games.

It's a wacky SRPG that doesn't take itself too seriously. Expect to grind levels and get lost in Item World. Fairly addictive, imo.

The only SRPGs I've played are FFT, which I didn't really get on with, and Jeanne D'Arc, which I really enjoyed. I actually don't mind some mindless grinding though.

Disgaea is FAR DEEPER then either of those. You can level to 9999, reincarnate and level to 9999 again and again, you can level items to level 100 raising stats along the way in randomly generated maps each time. Disgaea 3 added one of my favorite things to the series: Magichange. using a non-human team member as a weapon and both get xp. Its a great game but it does have grinding like crazy to beat the hidden bosses and whatnot.

I don't want more. I need more. My appetite is voracious.

Retail:
Uncharted: GA
Dynasty Warriors Next
Touch My Katamari
Ridge Racer
Lumines: Electronic Symphony
Everybody's Golf

PSN:
Motorstorm RC
Super Stardust
Attack of the Mutant Blobs From Space
Hustle Kings

They've pretty much all been great games but I'm largely done with them now. Thing is, the Vita hardware is so damned awesome that I want to use it more!

:) New owner of a PS Vita....
What games sould I buy? Please advice me

Cyborg : Uncharted
Cyborg and Smokydave : Get wipeout! great game

To be fair, that grinding isn't necessary for the story at all. A lot of Disgaea's grinding is all about getting better at getting better. Your time spent will be on working towards getting things so that you can grind faster and get more out of it.

Also, 9999 -> reincarnate -> 9999 -> reincarnate -> etc. isn't even worth that much to your stats in the long run anyway :x

Very true, item stats end up helping more then character stats but every little bit helps when going for that 10 million hours!

For me though the grind is part of the Disgaea fun. If you don't like grinding then you won't get the most out of a Disgaea game. Its not the story its the UBER leveling of characters and items.

Just curious if anyone could recommend a hard case? I got a soft case at launch because I wanted something to keep it in but now I want something hard so it doesn't get squished.

If anyone else bought the Bluecell Grip for the Vita be careful. It seems as though the two little clips that hold the Vita in place start to wear the silver paint off. I had to cut them off and put a foam strip there to hold it in place

Can I get a list of VITA games that have Custom Soundtrack support? I already know that MotorStorm RC and Gravity Rush have it, and I think the JP release of Dynasty Warriors Next got it via an update, but I'm not sure the update is available in the west.

...and whatever happened to the VITA version of Malicious?

So until they patch in PSOne classics, or at least have more "Must Have Games" is there a reason to go out and buy a Vita yet?

Honestly? I dunno. I love mine and I haven't had a second of buyers remorse, but, if you waited this long, I can't see how it would hurt to wait a while longer for the library to flesh out.

If you never owned a PSP it might be a more tempting proposition.

I have the PS3 version and I'd rather play that. I'm all about Zone Mode with custom soundtracks and a big-screen. Similarly, I haven't grabbed Rayman Origins because I'd rather play it co-op on the PS3.

There's more Zone with custom soundtracks in 2048. Just sayin'. I cannot fault you for wanting to play the One True Wipeout though.

Does anyone know where I can pre-order the Persona 4 famitsu dx pack? Play-asia is sold out. Ebay doesn't have it. The site I usually pre-order Japanese products, isn't offering the DX pack.
