So I just remembered and started looking into it but with very few answers.

Anyone else not get their free Super Stardust game from ATT? I signed up for 3G a few days after launch.. redeemed my one month free and thought they were to email me a code at some point but nothing since.

Any suggestions as to where to even call to get this looked into? Their site has very little info on Datapass support.

I started my 3G on March 1st, didn't want to start in February, on the 30th, bam instantly got my e-mail code for it
Gave me access to the Stardust game + add-on

But does it change anything if you are already loading from memory card ?

I did the install from P3P on the Vita and then realized that I wasn't running off a UMD. You have to go to Settings>Application Data Management to remove the installed PSP data if you find you don't want it any longer.

I didn't notice any difference when I installed data for P3P so I removed it so it was not taking up space on the memory card.

OK, so I just bought Disgaea 3 and have no idea what I'm in for.

I have Disgaea 3 for the PS3 and never got very far into it. I'm tempted to grab it for the Vita but since it's the same game I just don't know. Think I'll give the PS3 version another chance. If I can get into it, I'll go ahead and grab it for the Vita as well.

I think I need to find a website that discusses the gameplay and tactics from a beginners point of view. I've never been good at SRPGs. Though I loved Jeanne D'Arc.

I enjoy MHFU solo quite a bit. Also it is very possible to solo everything in the game if you try.

No it isn't. Or at least it's extremely difficult. I could never solo Akantor for example, with 4 people it was a joke. YMMV.

The game is meant to be played with multipleyer, but there's a lot to do on your own as well.

Is there an easy mode? I want something to play and just wander around in an open worldish setting without too much friction... I'm so desperate I just bought Zenonia...

Disgaea is wonderful. It's a strategy RPG with puzzle game elements that doesn't take itself seriously. The story is similar to persona in that it takes place in a school... but it's very joke-y. Some people like that, some don't. But most agree that the battles make it all worth it if you are into that type of game.

Do you get bots for gameplay when you play solo ?

I find it very nice in God Eater that you get AI support when playing solo.

Transferred Rock Band Unplugged Lite to the Vita and I was shocked that it was able to access the Playstation Store through the PSP emulator to download DLC.

Same. I'm so desperate for a new game that I very nearly bought Shinobido 2 last night. I've no idea what Disgaea 3 is or whether I'd like it but I heard you could level to 9999. Tempting.

I should really hold out until next Month. Mortal Kombat and Resistance should fill my Vita needs until Gravity Rush and LBP.

Disgaea sounds like a bad bowel condition but I need something new on my Vita screen.

What's really crazy is, if you hit an in-game hyperlink while emulating PSP games, you get the old PSP browser. it's in there. freaked me out.

Is Monster Hunter Freedom Unite fun without the MP aspects? I have always been curious about the games but don't know anyone with a PSP or Vita to be able to get the social aspect that seems so needed.

If you have a PS3 hooked up via Ethernet, Adhoc Party will let you arrange online games. I got MHFU recently and have been doing that to play co-op with a friend over the net.

Yeah, you can get a cat NPC with you on solo missions.

They can learn skills, divert monsters' attention, break you out of status effects sometimes and chuck bombs at you when you're charging up that perfect slash.

No. There are missions were you just have to get herbs and meat that are super easy though. However Monster Hunter isn't that much about exploring, but about actually hunting.

It's not open world at all. Each stages has zones (between 7 and 10) that are connected to each other, but completely independent (with slight loading times in between, less than a second). Sometimes just finding the monster is half the challenge though (unless you're using specialized equipment for that purpose). Paint balls are your friend after that, since monsters will usually flee or move to other zones in the middle of battle.

No. You get a cat. You can upgrade him, but he's essentially useless, except for sometimes distracting the monster so he gets attacked instead of you (giving you time to heal for example).

Also the monster have the same HP and are just as difficult if you play alone or with 4 people. More so if you're alone since you get 100% of the attacks. However you have 3 lives in every mission, no matter how many people are playing. So if an attack wipes out 3 of your comrades it's over. If you're alone you can die twice. So sometimes extra people can get in the way, but it's usually much, much easier with 4 people.

Gran Turismo PSP will now download fine via the Vita PSN store. I think it was fixed yesterday.

Not really sure how I'll transfer my save from my PSP1000 since the USB isn't working and I think I can't just copy over the files since the Vita can't be accessed like that on a PC...

Anyway, game looks good and runs really, really well on the Vita. I had small slowdowns at the beginning of the race and at the end of the race when using the PSP1000 but it's buttery smooth all the time on the Vita.

Well, I'm about 3 hours in now. Just getting used to everything.
Played the practice room a few times and been farting around in the hub area, checking weapons and character stats etc.

Messed around with the home room stuff and character placement, created a new dude as well.

Pretty cool little game so far. Will play the shit out of this no doubt doods.

Canceling the 3g plans has to be the most annoying thing I have suffered through this week. First there were multiple issues with attempting to log in to my account (either from my PC or my Vita). I had to reset my password even though it worked my first log in. Second, the vita interface is fucking terrible and not user friendly. I finally found where to cancel the plan, but it has the most convoluted options ever: cancel now (which cancels your paid plan including the remaining time of the month - wth?; or cancel later, which cancels 60 days from now, and you have to individually find the recurring plan and cancel it before it rebills. I said fuck it and just canceled my plan and lost my remaining time. What a crapshoot.

Yeah I know 3g wasn't a necessary buy, but I sure as hell will never get another AT&T data plan. Jesus.

Sony needs to adjust PSN prices. The price for a digital game should always be less than the going rate for a used physical copy of the same game. Why is this so hard for them to understand?

Uncharted: Golden Abyss
PSN - $44.99
Amazon (new) - $46.37
Amazon (used) - $32.46 shipped
eBay (used) - ~$32 shipped

Wipeout 2048
PSN - $35.99
Amazon (new) - $38.95
Amazon (used) - $29 shipped
ebay (used) - $23 shipped

There's no good reason to buy Vita titles from PSN. The physical copy is cheaper and can be resold.

Odd. Mine canceled automatically.

How much is god eater burst does anybody know?

It's $19.99 on the US store.

Yeah I'm having a lot of fun as well. I proposed more expensive weapons at the vendor from the homeroon and got vetoed (Guess I should've used the bribe function), then the option popped up to force your proposal on them and they looked wimpy so I gave it a shot. It ended up initiating a battle...bad idea. I got hit for something like 138K damage from one persons attack, my character has 240 hp.

YAY! The Vita and games I bought off ebay last week arrived today and everything looks like its in perfect working order. I'm really glad I didn't give into the impulse to buy a new one at Best Buy a few weeks ago, I got a way better deal buying used. Counting the hours till work ends...

Could anyone explain me how to setup the controls properly for PW ? I remember reading something about it, but can't really find it.

the prices suck but i simply can't do physical now i've had the convenience of DD.

I'm now sporting 4x 32 gig cards split over JP and US though.

Sony, need bigger cards and you to do something about the icons getting jumbled and the "rebuilding database" thing :/

how long is the "rebuilding database" process?

I buy games I'd never resell digitally and for games with a shorter shelf life I buy the digital copy.

For example, I have Lumines, Stardust, and Mutant Blobs Attack on my card. I have physical copies of Uncharted (one play through and I'll be done), MLB 2012 The Show (seasonal sports game updates FTW) and Wipeout 2048. I actually intended to get Wipeout as a digital download but when I got the Vita I had enough store credit and the Gamestop I was at had it marked down to $29.99. So much lower price plus paid for without using real money. I'll probably trade it in at some point when the digital download is cheap enough and double dip that way.

I'm 99% sure you can copy PSP save data from a PC with Content Manager. Gran Turismo saves are locked though, I couldn't transfer mine from a PSP 3000 to the PSP Go.

Why should new digital games be cheaper than used versions? Shouldn't used versions always be cheaper? Why would anyone buy used if digital was cheaper? If they lowered digital prices, used prices would drop accordingly.

Well damn then... is it worth fighting over or should I just buy the damn game as I am sure it is good?

Fight it, you do realize the game is $9.99 and Add-On is $7.99, so $17.98 total

Or you go out of your way and get it with your 3G access free, saving you $18

Would be funny if you buy it and code shows up HAHA!, sorry

Call both Sony & AT&T, and tell them your situation, it will get resolved very quickly

A digital download sale is the best possible type of sale for Sony because all of the money goes to Sony (or the publisher) and a used sale is precluded, hence it should be priced accordingly. A used game sale is, of course, the worst possible sale because no money goes to Sony and the game can be resold. With a new physical game sale, part of the money goes to the retailer and the buyer has the option has the option to sell the game. I am willing to give Sony $30 for a digital version of Uncharted: Golden Abyss. They want $45. So I will probably buy a used copy for $30, none of which Sony will get a part of, and then sell it when I am done, also costing Sony another sale.

Agreed. I also bought a digital copy of Lumines for the same reason; I can see myself playing it a few years down the road. If Sony had priced the digital versions of Wipeout or Uncharted more attractively, maybe you would have bought it on PSN, thus preventing a copy from entering the used market in the future.

Like he said, wouldn't selling the digital copy for less than used, in turn, drop used prices.
New cycle begins?

Exactly. They could drop prices, but used will have to drop even lower (or no-one will buy used). It's an unrealistic cycle. You can say digital should be a certain percentage below retail, but used is not set by Sony, it is set by the market and is based on demand and new pricing.

No, because a physical copy has inherent value because it can be sold. A digital copy is essentially worthless when the player completes it because it cannot be transferred.
