So, Sony on the ropes lends credence to some rumours that the PS4 won't be a huge leap over the PS3. Will the Wii U & PS4 share similar power while Xbox Infinity is quite a large leap?
Gen IV all over again? Count me in!
people are always going to hate on Nintendo that is not new, what is new is there is less errors to push against there is not much they can point at I can agree with now
I have to be honest, I was not expecting the 3DS to make a turn around like this... even more shocked that the Vite turned out how it did
Nintendo has learned so much from the 3DS that I am afraid to believe in what it means for WiiU
Nintendo is in the best shape that they could be right now
SONY/MS do need to make major noise at E3 not this bullshit wait for 2013
I'm pumped for the Wii U, but how the hell am I supposed to play Super Smash with that controller?
I can't live in a world without the GCN controller.
I don't understand this rush for the next Sony/MS systems myself. Wii-U comes out, Pikmin 3, Ubisoft ports, whatever. You do what works for you, you get better tech(that'll be cheaper to produce a year from now), and you have your big guns ready for 2013. I don't buy another MS system that gets rushed out with RROD 2.9
You meant to say 6, right?
Analog shoulder buttons aside, the DRC has the same functional inputs as the GameCube controller save for two or three additional buttons.
I doubt MS is rushing... Sony feels rushed more to me... Vita feels rushed with the lack of software
Vita was a stupid idea to begin with taking into consideration Sony's position in business.
They should have ditched the portable market altogether and put all their time and money into the PS4, making it noticeably more powerful than Nintendo's system but at the least cost as possible.
No one in their right minds would enter the portable realm against Nintendo when they were having a financial crisis.
The Vita was destined to do better than the PSP but it's really going to be the same outcome when it's all said and done.
There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that MS/Sony will announce, detail and hype their next consoles, maybe even show prototype units. And I fully expect a decent amount of crazy tech demos too. There's just no way they'll let Nintendo steal E3 that easily.
In the end, Nintendo will win E3 unless there's any unforeseen lack of quality and quantity. Even if our Retro game doesn't show up, they should still take E3 easily.
I wouldn't be so sure of that.
Would have still been cool to see one last big summer Wii game announced. Like I don't know, Metroid 20th Anniversary Collection or something cool like that. But since it was purely a 3DS briefing I'm guessing E3 better be 99% geared toward Wii U content.
And on the OS memory print speculation, if the OS is anything close to 256-512MB in retail units their definitely going to be doing a lot of elaborate streaming features/functions and or have a sort of "dynamic interactive Gamercard" built into the core OS, which could be cool.
Even without touching the thing, it's still a piss poor substitute for a serious Smash player. If the CCPro wasn't up-to-par for Smash, the Upad won't be either. Nintendo needs to just give in and release the GC controller 2.0.
This is what I want... I want SONY/MS to make a huge noise at E3 with better next gen consoles that are a year away... because imagine if they allow Nintendo to do this alone?
It will suck for us around here. If SONY/MS gamers are not happy they will make all Nintendo threads hard to get through, I like it better around here when these guys have there own cake to eat so they are too busy to hate![]()

Nintendo cannot be allowed to stay in the portable market alone, I want them to have someone going against them.
I'd venture to say with a sizable amount of haters we'd be on Wii U Anticipation Thread #10 by Sep!![]()
Nintendo cannot be allowed to stay in the portable market alone, I want them to have someone going against them. I think PSP could have lasted another year in Japan but it was pretty dead outside of Japan
Vita just needs major software support but every Nintendo Direct feels like a kick in the teeth
the bans will be epic on all sides, after E3 if Nintendo secures 3rd Party games that were usually not on Nintendo platforms. I am not going to be baited to defend anything. I'll just try to say in these threads
Well yeah, complacency is never a good thing but I was more thinking on Sony's behalf.
And I don't know what they were thinking...
As much as I like the GC Controller and felt weird playing SSBB on a CC Pro, this notion needs to go. Nintendo really doesn't need to do jack, the only reason SSBB had GC controller support was because it had GC controller ports on the thing. We're gonna have to relearn SSB on a new controller sometime, might as well be now.
Just have someone change your password for you and log out of your account. Account suicide is so last year.
Are we placing bets on bans?
My money's on Pork. Maybe an AceBandage meltdown to spice things up.
And surely they'll be some "WOW this Wii-U looks like a piece of shit worse then GoW3, fanboys eat anything up, Pikmin picking up a battery whoopie" posts to counter balance it
Vita doesn't just need major software support. It needs to be priced at a level that the market is willing to buy at. For a dedicated gaming portable, you would need something far more compelling than Monster Hunter to get it to sell in large amounts at its current price.
This is probably the realistic situation we'll have to face. But I mean I love the GC Controller (particularly for Smash), after all that's where the deepest and fundamental nuances of Melee were mastered so color me biased, I guess. And while I agree that we'll probably have to relearn Smash whether we like it or not, that doesn't mean we can't complain about potentially inferior controllers or not vote for a update on what works for us.
But heh, maybe a really solid 3rd party option could come out of the wood work, they've been getting a lot better recently. Maybe a MLG Controller 2.0 for Wii U?
I don't know why anyone posts during E3 myself, no one really reads anyone else's posts, it's too frenetic to focus on anything.
everyone praise the price when they announced it... seems strange that its struggling
I thought it had to do with WiFi vs. 3G
2D Castlevania Wii U.
Believe.
Ugh, they're actually doing NSMB 2...
My next ban is probably perma, so I'm at least going to try to be more careful than that. Lol.Are we placing bets on bans?

Yeah, dumb company, following up on a previous title just because it was one of the best sellers in history!
Anthony's "whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat" still cracks me up
This system could be totally awesome, but that name still hasn't grown on me a year later. You think they would announce a name change at an investor's meeting?

Am I not allowed to be personally disappointed? I don't give a shit how much it sold.
My thread! That's my thread!
No. As long as I wear the Iwata hair, I cannot fault Nintendo at anything. *bows*
I'm with you. Good on them for beings profitable but they are still boring and predictable.Am I not allowed to be personally disappointed? I don't give a shit how much it sold.
You should keep the tradition alive and make this year's E3 Nintendo Conference thread, BY2K. Recap some rumors, hypetrain pics, what to expect, all that jazz.
It's bound to be a legendary thread people will look back on years later
