What would Bonebending fall under.
What would Bonebending fall under.
The next episode preview looks baller as fuck, too. Korra no what are you doing
This would be so dumb and so amazing at the same time.
Just watched it, pretty awesome episode.
Pretty much confirmed that Amon is Tenzin's brother.

It's a possiblity. Whoever he is it is very possible that he was trained by Aang. They did some annoying stuff this episode like give every asshole the ability to lightning bend. If that story Amon gave about his face and firebending is true I still think it is possible that he could be Ursa's other son. Ursa married some regular farmer after she was banished and had a son, Ozai found out and send someone to kill Ursa and her new family. That is my theory anyways.
It's interesting that Aang didn't teach Tenzin energy bending.

Finally got around to watching it. Cool episode but it was boring knowing the big reveal going in.
Everyone lightning bending isn't a big issue people. It's obvious that when they figured out they could use it to power the city that all fire benders were given the secret to using it. It shouldn't have been that off-putting or shocking.
Just going to go ahead and call it: Amon is not related in blood to Korra or Tenzin. He most certainly has nothing to do with Koh (and Koh has nothing to do with anything in the show).
In fact, the only hint we can go off of now is the fact that both Amon and Mako had stories about a firebender killing their family. We know Mako's is true, but Amon could have been lying. We don't know if he's that kind of villain yet though.
Aang wouldn't be that dumb. I don't believe it can be taught by conventional means anyways.
The whole thing with a persons spirit must be strong, the fact that no one should be able to energybend... I think something else is up. Or there's some insane plot twist happening here.
Amon is the ANTI-AVATAR
Azula could have broken out of her mental institution and now she goes around burning people cause she is nuts. Oh and can a regular bender learn energybending or is it like the other elements? For example if you are an energy bender you can't be an airbender, firebender, etc.
I don't think mentioning Koh would alienate people.
In the same way that Koh had previous encounters with other Avatars.

im not really sure why people would think Amon was spiritbending, it specifically shows his army using chi blocking earlier in the episode, that leads the viewer to think Amon is chi blocking at some high level
This is how I feel. So far Avatar Aang is the only person outside of the giant turtle's era to be able to spiritbend so it doesn't make sense for a random non-bender to have been able to learn to do it, unless there is a plot revelation coming, which there probably is.im not really sure why people would think Amon was spiritbending, it specifically shows his army using chi blocking earlier in the episode, that leads the viewer to think Amon is chi blocking at some high level
The turtle just touched Aang on the head and taught him energybending. I think that is one of the benefits of energybending, you can pass it on to another if they are worthy or have the potential. If Aang had a disciple who he thought was worthy, surely Tenzin or Katara would have to know. Maybe Aang gave him that gift in secret. Oh and Amon will wait to kill Korra until she is in the Avatar state, that's why she will be safe for now.
Amon is Korra's spiritual side. They must fusion-ha!
At this rate, TLoK will >>>> ATLA. Taking nothing away from the first series, but the fact that this one has all that history to build off of, and how much it's improved... everything just means TLoK has a higher upside.
Amon is a bawse, the fight choreography is even better, the look of the city is great, Team Korra is great, etc. etc.
This. It's not so black and white, good and evil as in TLA. I love it.The coolest part about the equalists is that they are sorta relatable. It's almost like its morally ambiguous.
Benders are SUPER powerful and basically control the world. They have an absurd amount of power than can be easily abused. If you were born in the avatar world as a non-bender you'd be pretty salty about it I'd imagine.
They just want fairness and security.

Why do I get the feeling Amon had SOMETHING indirect or directly to do with Aang's death.

I think Amon might be Aang other son. How else would he know what are the pressure points on the guy´s forehead. I don´t buy his story about his dead parents.
Seems reasonable to me.Well Amon's methods are completely wrong.
Well there aren't that many ways of getting rid of benders as far as I knowWell Amon's methods are completely wrong.
