Another 40 piece puzzle.......
What are you guys carrying your 3DS around in? It's not exactly small enough to fit in a pants pocket.
I have a Japanese 3DS and got a Fire Emblem piece. It wasn't a pink one though![]()

Since any 3DS can StreetPass, I wonder if North American 3DSes can get Fire Emblem pieces.
Man, I'd never finish that puzzle.![]()

That's a shame.I have a US 3DS and my gf has a JP 3DS. We both got the panel update. But when we street passed each other, she was able to pick up Mario Tennis from me, but I wasn't able to pick up Fire Emblem from her. Also I rode the train a bit, and while I got a couple Mario Tennis pieces, never got a Fire Emblem. Guess only Japanese get it for now...
I definitely got a streetpass while driving on the highway at high speed(~130km/h).
what really surprised me was that it apparently was from another car passing me on the opposite lane.
had my 3DS lying on the dashboard when the green light suddenly flashed (there were no other cars on my lane).
the streetpass file size must be really small, I guess
It was hilarious though, to go through the greeting animation and as soon as it was done know than ten more people were lined up at the gate.
This is how PAX East was but about 50 times worse and nonstop.
Most of them are 0 blocks lol. Only big one is MK7.
Go to your 3ds setting and check data. Can see the streetpass stuff.Really, one can actually see their block sizes? How, if I may ask?
Hey, I was there too! What's your Mii's name? Maybe I StreetPassed you!Went to the Legend of Zelda Symphony last night in Phoenix, which was absolutely insane. I opened up the Mii Plaza right when I got to my seat and found 10 Miis waiting for me, and as soon as I went through the greeting animations, I was immediately alerted that more people were at the Plaza gate!
I sadly didn't want to spend all of the prior to the show and during the intermission playing Puzzle Swap and Find Mii, so I kept going back to the Plaza without playing the games. All told I think I got 80-90 hits throughout the night.

It's funny, I had front row balcony seats, so I had a perfect view of everyone below me. Right before the symphony started, I could see dozens of people checking their StreetPass on their 3DSes below me, and all around me. XD Seriously, it seemed like half of the people there were on their 3DS, lol.
Always get the pink ones first. Blue ones may take a while but they eventually will show up. If you don't streetpass people you're out of luck with the pink ones.Funny to guess the habits of streetpassed people.
Within a few month, I streetpassed the same guy for 3 times, each time when I take a slighty different road to go to work, at 9:00 in the morning.
I also have many started puzzles, it's difficult to complete them, even by spending many coins in it. And I don't even talk about the pink pieces, I would like to complete the blue ones at first.
Yeah, there were quite a lot. I probably got around 150-200 between both days. (I went to the Friday show even though I didn't have tickets just to get StreetPasses, lol.)Stuff came up and I wasn't able to make it to the concert. Sounds like I missed out on a lot of streetpasses haha.
And not to sound like a creeper, looking at your youtube channel, I think I met you at PCC last year.
Phoenix Comic-Con will definitely be my next big place for Streetpassing. I got a good 100 or so in the 3 days I was there last year, and that was still in the early months after the 3DS release. I can only imagine it will be even crazier this year.
So passed someone today. Got a streetpasses for the MP3 player, KI:U, and RE:R but nothing for Mii plaza......... ;(
In addition to what StarCreator said, this can also happen sometimes even if your StreetPass Mii Plaza isn't full. Sometimes not all StreetPass data is exchanged for whatever reason, so you may miss out on a certain title's StreetPass. But if you have Invite Mii turned on in your StreetPass Mii Plaza, you can still get the person's Mii in your Plaza if you exchanged StreetPass data for another title that uses Miis, which you did (both Nintendo 3DS Sound and Kid Icarus: Uprising). You won't be able to use their Mii in Puzzle Swap or Find Mii, but it still counts towards your population. So passed someone today. https://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=334021069998639Here are some tips for setting up StreetPass and maximizing your StreetPass tags!
- Activate StreetPass! If youre new to the 3DS and havent used the StreetPass feature before, make sure that youve activated StreetPass for all of your StreetPass compatible titles, including the built-in StreetPass Mii Plaza! How you activate StreetPass varies depending on the title, but most of the time youll be asked to activate StreetPass when you start the game. If not, theres usually a StreetPass option in the main menu or settings of the game.
- Customize your StreetPass! In addition to just activating StreetPass, some titles let you further customize what you send via StreetPass. For example, you can set up a profile for your Mii in StreetPass Mii Plaza, or customize your vehicle and even make your own Grand Prix in Mario Kart 7! Sometimes the game requires you to customize your StreetPass in ways like this before you can even activate it, like setting a Weapon Gem in Kid Icarus: Uprising, but other times its completely optional, so make sure you dont miss it!
- Make sure StreetPass is active! Having StreetPass set up is no good if your 3DS isnt exchanging StreetPass data! In order for StreetPass to work, your Wireless switch must be turned on! Make sure that the yellow light on the right side your 3DS is on and blinking! Also, StreetPass does not work if youre currently playing any Nintendo DS software (including DSiWare), Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Game Boy Advance Virtual Console software, System Settings, or if youre actively using the Internet (for example, using the Internet Browser or playing online in a game) or using local wireless connection (for example, registering Friend Codes locally or playing a local multiplayer game). It will work, however, if youre playing Nintendo 3DS software (including normal Virtual Console games and other downloaded titles, but excluding System Settings or GBA Virtual Console games) or in the HOME Menu. StreetPass data will be exchanged while your system is closed and in Sleep Mode, and it most cases it will also work while your 3DS is open, too. Also, make sure theres an SD card in your system! Some StreetPass data is saved to an SD card, so it wont work without one!
- Dont turn off your system!! The 3DS is designed to always be turned on and left in Sleep Mode when youre not actively using it. If you turn your system off, you wont be able to receive any StreetPass or SpotPass data, nor will you be able to track your steps and earn Play Coins. If youre concerned for your systems battery life, be sure to use the included charging cradle often! Just set your 3DS on the charging cradle whenever youre not using it, including overnight so you can still receive SpotPass data. If you make a habit of using the charging cradle often, you shouldnt have many problems at all with your 3DSs battery life.
- Dont forget to Play with your Miis! In StreetPass Mii Plaza you greet Miis from the people you StreetPass, which then stick around in your Plaza. But you can also play two built-in games with the Miis you collect, Puzzle Swap and Find Mii! To use your Miis in these games, select Play (the backpack and sword icon) to the right of your Mii. Keep in mind that you have to Play with your current group of Miis before you let a new group in through the Gate! If more Miis have arrived through StreetPass and you let them in through the Gate before using your older Miis in Puzzle Swap and/or Find Mii, then youll only be able to Play with your new group of Miis, and you wont be able to use the old Miis at all.
- Don't miss out on pink puzzle pieces! In Puzzle Swap, if you StreetPass someone with a pink puzzle piece, be sure to take it over a normal piece! Pink pieces can only be obtained through SpotPass as a random starting piece of a panel, with the only other way of obtaining them being through StreetPass. Similarly, new panels can only be obtained in the same way, so if you StreetPass someone with a panel that you dont have (it should show up as ???), be sure to take a piece from it, preferably a pink piece if there is one!
- Check your StreetPass Mii Plaza often! If you have 10 StreetPass tags in your StreetPass Mii Plaza, you wont be able to get any more until you clear your tags by letting the Miis in through the Gate! And not only will you not be able to receive anyone elses Miis, but they wont be able to receive yours, either! A lot of Miis are missed because of this, so be careful and keep an eye on your StreetPass tags!
- Dont forget to check your other StreetPass games, too! Every StreetPass compatible title has its own maximum capacity for StreetPass tags. Some have rather high limits, such as Nintendo 3DS Sound with 99 and Kid Icarus: Uprising with 50, while other have much lower limits like Super Mario 3D Land with just 3. While you shouldnt have to worry about checking titles with higher limits very much, youll want to check the ones with lower limits often, especially if youre going to a big event.
- Use the Notifications app! Notifications, located at the top right of your HOME Menu (the green icon between Friend List and Internet Browser), is a great way to check and manage your StreetPass tags. It lists how many StreetPass tags you currently have for each StreetPass compatible title, along with the maximum capacity of StreetPass tags for each title. If your StreetPass tags are maxed out in a particular title, the bubble below the icon will be filled in pink. You can also click on a title to view the individual StreetPass tags, and from here you can even choose to delete StreetPass tags. While deleting tags will clear them, you wont actually receive the StreetPass data if you clear it this way. Youll want to check your StreetPass tags in the game itself in order to clear the tags and receive the data.
- Set up StreetPass for Nintendo 3DS Sound! StreetPass Mii Plaza isnt the only built-in app that uses StreetPass! In Nintendo 3DS Sound, you can make a special StreetPass playlist with up to 5 songs. You can then exchange your playlist data over StreetPass. Nintendo 3DS Sound compares your Compatibility with the people you StreetPass, and it also shows a Hit Parade of the songs your encounter through StreetPass the most. In order to activate StreetPass in Nintendo 3DS Sound, youll need to have some music (in either MP3 or AAC format) on your SD card. Then just add at least one song to the StreetPass playlist, and youre all set! Because Nintendo 3DS Sound is a built-in app, everyone has access to using StreetPass for this title, much like StreetPass Mii Plaza, but unfortunately few people do. You can help change this, though!
- Turn on Invite Mii! In StreetPass Mii Plaza, theres a feature called Invite Mii. This allows StreetPass Mii Plaza to pull in Miis from other titles. This is useful for a number of reasons. If someone doesnt have StreetPass set up for their StreetPass Mii Plaza, but does have it activated for another StreetPass compatible game that uses Miis (like nintendogs + cats, Mario Kart 7, Pokémon Rumble Blast, or even Nintendo 3DS Sound), then Invite Mii will bring the Mii from the other game(s) into your StreetPass Mii Plaza. Likewise, someone may have StreetPass enabled for StreetPass Mii Plaza but they might be using a different Mii in their other StreetPass games. In this case, Invite Mii will also bring the Mii(s) from the other game(s) into your Plaza, in addition to their StreetPass Mii Plaza Mii. And sometimes, for whatever reason, when you StreetPass someone, not all of the StreetPass data gets exchanged. This doesnt happen most of the time, but in the off chance that it does, its possible that the StreetPass Mii Plaza data wont be exchanged, so you may end up getting someones StreetPass data for their other StreetPass titles but you wont get their Mii in your Plaza. Like the other situations above, Invite Mii also comes to the rescue in this case. Keep in mind that you cant use the Miis you receive via Invite Mii in Puzzle Swap or Find Mii, but they do stay in your Plaza and add to your population! (Note: Some people purposely turn off Invite Mii because they dont like the fact that it brings Miis from random people who youve played with online in certain games like Mario Kart 7 and Kid Icarus: Uprising into your Plaza. If you dont like the random Miis from online games but you still want the other benefits of Invite Mii, you can always turn Invite Mii off before you play online and turn it back on when youre done, or you could only turn it on if youre going somewhere where youre expecting to get StreetPasses.)
- Be prepared for StreetPass events! If youre going to a StreetPass meet up, make sure youve cleared your StreetPass tags for all of your compatible games! That way you wont max out on StreetPass tags early on. Also, make sure your 3DS is fully charged! The last thing you want is your 3DS dying on you! If youre going to be at an event for a long time, you might want to lower the screen brightness on your 3DS and turn on Power-Saving Mode. This can be accessed by touching the little sun icon at the top left corner of the HOME Menu. It might also be a good idea to bring a charger with you just in case.
That can happen if either of you have a full StreetPass Mii Plaza queue and haven't gone to the plaza gate to clear it out.
This has happened to me two or three times recently. My Plaza queue definitely wasn't full, but I guess theirs may have been.So passed someone today. Got a streetpasses for the MP3 player, KI:U, and RE:R but nothing for Mii plaza......... ;(
Assuming we get this in America, we'll have to wait until August.Iwata came trought spotpass again. (JP unit here).
He went for the Kirby 20th anniversary, playing DreamLand on GB 3DS virtual console.
He has got all Kid Icarus pieces, but just two from the Fire Emblem one (and no pink ones!).

That's puzzling!Streetpassed a guy at the mall the other day using a Professor Layton Mii with the greeting, "Puzzles...". And you know what?
Son of a bitch didn't have any new puzzle pieces for me![]()
You can set up your Mii's profile in StreetPass Mii Plaza by selecting your Mii, then Mii Settings, and Edit Profile. You can use your personal Mii in any game that supports Miis. Some games let you choose any other Mii in your Mii Maker, too, so you can use different Miis for different games if you want (though I wouldn't recommend it).Just got my first Streetpass hit while I shopped at Publix. He had Mario, so I got a hit for that , too. Pretty cool. Quick questions, though. The Mii stated dreams, etc at the Plaza. How do I include that stuff for my Mii? And can I use the Mii in both games or just one?
My gf's 3DS picked up Iwata while she was on the train or something. I know he's been going around spot pass but she only gets internet at my place and it definitely wasn't at my place. Then again I don't know if she hit another spot pass station somewhere?
That's how Nintendo Zone and SpotPass works. Your 3DS automatically connects to the Internet and if there is any SpotPass content that you can receive, your 3DS downloads it automatically. There is no asking or setting up a connection at all.I've had similar things happen where I'll randomly get SpotPass content while out and about. Only explanation I can think of is Nintendo Zone found something it could use and just used it without asking first.

I've picked up signals from Nintendo Zones while driving on the freeway before, so it's definitely possible that you've passed by a Nintendo Zone unknowingly and your 3DS downloaded SpotPass content for you.
