When does she have a fatal injury and all those cats resurrect her?
Is that before or after her basketball showcase?

Yeah, the one in the trailer is broken on the left side of the face, which is where the wound is. The poster one is pretty much mostly intact.

Ah sorry I assumed you were talking about the poster when you said 'shatters.'

He's got a messed up eye and nose, bruising or pus down the side of his head, looks quite nasty. Stubble makes it look like this is a few days later.

Only a cynical man would call the old thread "good", DM. Trolling. Fan posters. This is not how man was supposed to live. The League of Solos has been a check against GAF corruption for thousands of days. We sacked Nolan GAF, loaded Green Lantern threads with false predictions, burned PhoenixDark to the ground. Every time a message board reaches the pinnacle of its decadence, we return to restore the balance.
We are the worst.

Yeah, but when's he got the time in the middle of the movie to grow that wicked facial hair and discontented look?

It seems pretty easy to piece together what happens.
Bat comes back to fight Bane. Bane fucks him up. Bruce is hobbled..mopes around for awhile. Stops feeling bad for himself, gets back in shape. Fucks up Bane.

Go read Knightfall.

Except he's like thrown into a prison or something it looks like midway through the film, probably after he's beaten up. So I don't think that's right.

The fact that DC just reissued Knightfall in an all in one paperback (as opposed to two volumes) speaks to similar things to your post happening.

Yeah, looks like he was unconscious for a few days.... while Bane stripped him and watched him sleep....

The point is..he ain't faking the need for a cane. Bane is going to crack him in half.

But he's not using a cane in those prison shots. I'm willing to bet he's using it in the beginning of the movie, either faking it or something happens that forces him to use it early on (which explains partially why he loses to Bane, because he's already weakened).

I think he starts off the film with gout. 'Rich man's disease' It's honestly the best answer I can come up with.

He spends 8 years eating only chocolate bars, chicken, and milk, and collecting bottles of his piss.

Or that..whatever the fuck it is. I'm sure he's not walking around his house, alone, faking a limp and using a cane even though he doesn't need it.

I read this:

"Hm, if that is the cane (which it probably is), is he faking or does he genuinely need it?"

Speculate on whether he starts out that way (like you said) or it's a result of Bane "Johnny Knox-ing" him. Point is he probably needs the his walking stick.

I think the cane is part of the Bruce Wayne persona now. It's an idea from Year One.

You see it all around that party scene. At least that seems like it will be early on, and he doesn't have a beard.

How do you get back in shape after you are in a wheelchair/cane?
More pushups, Bruce is looking old.

I smell a plot twist a la uncle ben's murderer is a pretty cool guy and doesn't afraid of anything.

God, Raimi really gave a fuck you to spider man fans with that third film...

Bruce gets his shit pushed in by Bane early on. Initially he is recovering from his injuries, hence the cane. I would assume some type of time lapse occurs and Bruce is rehabilitating himself(that prison scene of him doing push ups). I dont know, but the cane only tells me he gets fucked up at some point.

I think the movie starts off with him being crazy hermit-like. He probably doesn't need it, but maybe it's all an act or a psychological thing. Then the people around him try to get him back into real life, so he cleans himself up, but still uses the cane, which we see at the party.

Then Bane kicks his ass, throws him in that well/prison place, forcing Bruce to get his act together. Him "rising" is probably the end of the big second act misery tour in the prison and he probably goes to war with Bane for the rest of the film, so I don't think he'll have a cane after that.

That's what it looks like to me from the trailers anyway.

It's also important to note that the events of this film seem to take place over months, so there's a lot going on here. Batman could get injured somewhat early on in the movie as well.

If the first act is as you described then the movie will be as boring as the new trailer is leading me to believe.

I think Bane may fuck Batman up in prison. In the "Why didn't you just kill me" part he has the beginnings of that sweet facial hair going on, so the timing seems right. Bane lets him go home, Bruce sulks for a bit with his cane possibly eating some poached eggs from a silver platter, then comes back when JGL and company show their desperation after Bane takes over the city.

I dont know, when he asks Bane why he doesnt kill him, he seems in extremely bad shape. Bane's reply gives me the impression that this scene takes place earlier in the movie rather than later.

Well, you might be misinterpreting me. I think he still manages to be Batman for a decent chunk of the first act. Once Bane starts to emerge, I think Bruce tries to stop his various schemes a couple of times (stock market attack, bridges, football stadium, etc.). It's just that they come face-to-face somewhere toward the middle of the film and that takes him out for probably a 30-minute chunk of the movie, to find himself, which is where JGL and Anne's characters (and the rest of the ensemble) come in.

What if Bane breaks his ankle/leg instead of his back in the film? Pretty serious injury that doesn't require the miracle cure of Knightfall.

If Bruce gets taken out early on in the movie, I don't think that works because it looks like he doesn't really "come back" until the last 40 minutes or so. We do have to watch a Batman movie after all. The only time where him getting beat down works is in the middle of the film.

I am assuming something like this. Ever since he was announced I figured Bane wouldnt break his back, but beat him so bad he is out of commission for awhile.

I still see it working like I said. I mean, all we have is speculation so who really knows. I would bet that Bruce's injury comes at around the end of Act 1 or beginning of Act 2.

However Bruce rises, collects his plucked facial follicles and throws them at Bane, clogging his ventilation system.

But Bane's coat is Bruce's nice coat from Batman Begins, but with extra fluffy collar. The power of the coat overcomes the breathing mask clogging and gives Bane the extra boost in power. Bane loses in the end of the movie only because he takes off the coat of power.

I've got a feeling Bane will straight up reveal to Gotham who Batman really is right at the start. Get people to really hate his rich ass and the system. That breaks him psychologically because he's been trying to do good for people who hate his guts. And then Bane will break him physically, dismantling him completely. He'll lose hope and Bane will continue to smoothly destroy Gotham.
