Before or after he reveals that Harvey Dent was a murdering psychopath and that Batman was the real hero?
At which point Joseph Gordon-Levitt dons the coat and is enveloped in the power, causing him to become a super hero under the official name of "Bat-Boy". Gaf then proceeds to implode.

I think his identity gets revealed; but the exact opposite thing happens: it makes people realize that Bruce was a good man and fighting for the little guy the whole time.

I think the only way Batman's identity gets revealed to everyone is if he dies. I just do not see Nolan revealing his identity though.

I bickered with someone in the last OT about the 5 dead 2 cops thing. One of the points made was that Ramirez was still alive, in the witness protection program, but to everyone else she was dead.

Someone needs to do an HD Gif of all the villains in Nolan's film to date! There's one floating around, but it's really low quality. Someone needs to do one of the nice clean ones. I love all of the villains in Nolan's film thus far.

Has there been any speculation of this movie ending like the V for Vendetta graphic novel ended (never saw the movie) with Joseph Gordon-Levitt being like Evey?
So Wayne dies but John Blake takes his place as Batman which could be interesting because of the thought that Batman is more of an idea than a person

I dont see him taking over like that. If batman does die, I see the spiritual successor to be Gordon/Blake cleaning up the city as hero cops. A running theme in TDK was that Gotham needed a hero with a face, someone they could identify with, hence Dent. Assuming Bane breaks that illusion in TDKR, someone else will need to fill that void.

Pretty much. If the "executives being upset about the bittersweet ending" rumors were true, it'd be more like Wayne dying but not before inspiring the people of Gotham to keep the city clean themselves.
Having someone take over the mantle doesn't really tie things up at all.

Re read what I said. I am saying Blake will not replace Batman as a masked hero. Blake will be a hero and continue to be a cop.

Ya, i kinda went OT, but from what we know so far Selina seems to be the most skilled after Bruce. I dont see cops doing anything. They were useless without Dents legal skills. Unless they are killing people what do you expect Blake/Gordon to do for gotham

Pretty much. Aren't cops trained to kill in insane situations like that? If Bane marched in and took control of the town and I were a cop, I'd head for the highest roof and shoot him in the head with a rifle immediately.
Though he does have that earthquake machine thing.
