Custom Games browser in halo 2, dumb.

I love BR/Sword starts.

Just think, if we have a custom games browser in Halo 4, every server can be all tanks, swords, or snipers!

And the first page always being site spam for a domain because of Microsoft's policy on LIVE dedis needing to have an actual gamertag.

So I'm trying to play Halo: Custom Edition on my PC for the hell of it but nothing happens when I click on the logo. The screen flashes black for a moment but then nothing ever comes of it. =| I installed the latest patch by the way. [edit] nvm I just failed at installing the FXAA stuff.
 
Uhg, why the fuck do people vote for regular slayer. AR starts is horrid.

Also, I wonder if TS would have the population it does if 343 swapped places between it and super slayer. I imagine a lot of people just jump into the first thing on the list that's TS based.

TU Reach is way better than vanilla.

Look at what happened between Anniversary Squad and Anniversary Classic. Squad had well over double the population of Classic, then one week they swapped their orders in the listing and the populations reversed overnight.

People mash A until they are in a game.

The Team Slayer name also carries a lot of mini-brand recognition, so a swap wouldn't do it entirely.
 
A bunch of shitty Forge maps added to Super Slayer, making the loss of Squad Slayer even more tragic. 343 doesn't exactly inspire confidence with choices like these.

They should have had Team Slayer as the TU playlist and Bloom Slayer as the second - would have done wonders for population of the good playlists :|

I may be remembering wrong but didn't Squad Slayer also omit armor lock? No AL, reduced bloom, and bleedthrough was the glorious trifecta of bandaids on this game that made it fun for me. Super Slayer is "good enough" when the population is high enough, but it's not Squad Slayer.

Domino was just talking about the difference between TU and Vanilla, I think. But yeah, you're right. No armor lock and no community Forge maps are important reasons that Squad was the best list in the game (aside from MLG, which I usually don't have the energy for). Super Slayer is a fucking travesty.

Yes, Squad was the first playlist of the changes Bungie was starting to implement across matchmaking. It also had Big Party matching one, which put teams against teams and randoms against randoms.
 
So, um, WTF. I'm going after the "Don't Touch That" achievement and it didn't unlock. Fucking Christ.

I just finished the match (One Flag CTF on Highlands) and we prevented the team from touching the flag during both rounds (and I just rewatched it in theater mode just to be certain....as if I could somehow miss the announcer screaming "Flag Stolen!" or something) and it didn't unlock.

Is this achievement glitchy or something? I've spent the past week trying to get this achievement on the ridiculously elusive Defiant map (with the even more elusive gametype) and now I'm probably gonna have to do it again >:(

I wish armorlock was fucking gone though, at least fewer people use it now.
