Man, that Busiek run post Heroes Reborn was so damn good. The Ultron storyline in there is why I have this username.

And that is the Ultron story I want to see in a movie. Just Ultron going into a small country and killing every single lifeform. Even the insects. Avengers go in to stop him and get fucked up HARD. But that last issue where Thor and the team bust through the wall to finally get to the real Ultron, and they are all completely messed up but PISSED, is so awesome.

Digital version is available on Nook. Not sure about other places. And the first two volumes of the Busiek/Perez run are fantastic. Especially volume 2, as it has Ultron Unlimited.

Volume 1 is in iBooks and Comixology. Marvel seems to be doing a good job of getting trades into all the digital storefronts.

Yes, Chris Hemsworth delivering that line would be amazing

Also it had Kang War as well didn't it?

Heck yeah it did:

Just bought Ultimates 1 Vol. 1...it downloads issues 1-6 as one big 151 book vs. individual comics.

Wish it was a ComixHD, but even the non-HD versions looks good to me.

Is Ultimate Comics Avengers any good? I never really gave it a shot after that entire continuity got pulled through the shitter.

The first couple volumes (the Red Skull and Ghost Rider arcs) are pretty good, but it really goes off the rails with the vampire arc.

Ultimate Avengers vs. New Ultimates is fairly readable too, but keep in mind that it goes completely fucking insane by the end.

I do wonder if we'll see how much sales have increased for these volumes thanks to the movie. Would be interesting to see.

Unlike every comic book movie before it, I've seen a huge pop in people getting interested in comics after seeing The Avengers. It's just anecdotal evidence, but it really does seem like people just want more after seeing the movie.

Yeah I would assume so. Would be nice to get some quantifiable numbers if that is even possible. I have no idea how comic book sales are counted.

Michael Jai White is an excellent pick for Black Panther. He may not be the biggest name in the world, but he's built for it and seeing as T'Challa wears a mask it hardly matters how famous his face is.

I just have no idea what his "acting" chops are like. T'Challa is more than his fighting skills!

Check out some of MJW's recent movies! Blood & Bone, Undisputed, Black Dynamite, among others. He'd be a fantastic selection.

Norton's Hulk always 'looked' better to me. more realistic than the new one
I find the new Hulk is the only one that actually looks like the character playing Banner. That makes him more realistic to me all by itself. I can *SEE* Banner in this Hulk. Everyone can. That's what makes the work they did on him special.

Actually, as cool as Black Panther is, it would be even better if we could just go ahead and make Black Dynamite an Avenger. Alternately, we need to get, say, Tarantino to put The Bride, Machete, Black Dynamite, the Hobo With A Shotgun together to form the Grindhouse Avengers. I would pay so much money to see that film.

You've got it the other way around; Michael Jai White should be Luke Cage. Idris Elba would make a good Black Panther.

Either way, Marvel needs Michael Jai White to do something. I don't give a damn what. Luke Cage, Black Panther, Bishop. Doesn't matter. But he needs to do one of them, pronto.
