I prefer a lighter weight OT. If it has actual useful information, I don't want to wait for tons of gifs and images to load before I can get to what I'm looking for. Super heavy OT posts are the worst on a tablet.

Sure thing! When Diablo III launches, your character name will be visible to you in a variety of locations including the character selection screen and game menu. For other players, your character's name will only appear within your player profile, as hover text the friends list, and when your character participates in quest dialog. In every other context, your BattleTag will be shown.

Also, just to clarify, your BattleTag identifier (the numbers appended to the end of your BattleTag nickname) will only be visible in the "Add Friend" dialog and on a player's profile page. When you're just playing normally in a group, your BattleTag nickname should display.

Only the sigil design is unlocked for use on your banner.

I think the custom background is just for show on facebook or their web gallery, not in game.

He fabricated the term in that thread, the OP did. Not sure if it was that thread, or the other he made that same day, but he basically blew up at GAF giving him shit for coming up with that term, and the blow up resulted in him wanting himself banned through mountains of N word drops and other auto ban things for GAF.

He made another thread, survived in that one for about 2-3 hours without being banned, then the mods dropped the hammer on him. During this whole process people kept saying undercore and 1cc, and then well.... neogaf.gif. (The one with the guy standing up from his desk fade into black with neogaf logo)

That's the summary of that craziness.

Your character name shows up in quest dialog but that is pretty lame compared to actually seeing it under the player portrait on the left hand side or in chat. It could easily enough be hover over the character name to see the BT instead :/
