For users of real neogaf, not some Unhinged neogaf with 1/2 fractions.

I wish I had a set of full-art lands. Those things are so swag.

I was luckily enough to get back in the game in time to get a nice assortment of Zendikar full art lands.
I have a couple of unhinged forests , but just do not like spending that much for lands.

I got full playlets for all of the Zendikar one because of my pack buying habit.

I have a full set of the Zendikar land set, with about 2 foils for each land type(except islands) and the Unhinged lands. They are awesome. I cant believe i spent that money though.. on LAND. But once i saw them, i had to have them. The only other land i use are foil lands(Basic)

They're signed by a fat orange cat? You've just been downgraded sir.

Edit: I have 5-6 of all the zendikars but I wish I had more to use a deck just of them. I like the art on some older ones I have though, especially tempest so I don't mind.

I thought about selling them off, considering I have around 30-35 of each, but dammit...they're nice to play with.

Actually, I should buy those full art lands in zendikar before they get even pricier (on MTGO).

It is bad when I'm looking at Ebay and could buy dual lands that would actually help every deck I have but would be more likely to buy cool looking basics entirely for cosmetic reasons.

If I ended up actually buying them I'd justify it by the fact that basics never rotate.

I have a shit ton of the full-art Zendikar lands. Don't they come in the fat packs? I thought that was how I got mine.

I think they did... but if you came after it those fat packs were gone quickly and were absurds amount of money to buy one. Like $80-$90 IIRC. Do any rares still hold value from zendikar to crack packs?

Ravnica lands are the most memorable to me....yes, yes, Echo likes Ravnica, we get it! Incorporating the city into all of the art was such a cool idea, though. You can even see carved statues of the leaders of some of the guilds if you look hard enough.

Really set the mood for the entire block.

You have the Zendi lands, foil lands sell for alot and then you have the chance to pull fetch lands.

I feel like I'm not allowed to have a favorite basic since I'm barely a year into playing, but I really like the Unglued basics:

I have some of those still but I hate the brown around the picture... Just looks ugly IMO.

Edit: Those ravnica look really nice, they look really epic sort of feel to them. I wish there was an easy way to look at the lands from each set to see if I prefer one.

Are the sac lands worth a lot yet from zendikar?

I understand your pain.
I am getting ready to trade two Bonfire of the Damned for a foil Huntmaster, I am such a foil whore.
I hate that they are my only Bonfires though.

Well, I hate foils, so as a service, I'll trade you 1-for-1 for foils I have for non-foils you have.

I feel your pain. I'm stuck with my phyrexian obliterator foil I pulled at the release last time that I could have gotten a good amount on because it's shiny. I'm starting to finally ween off of it, at least if it's a huge gap in price like when I sold my griselbrand but that's even going up so I should have waited it seems. :(

But it's shiny! You make me sad with your foil hate. :(

I will always do it and add bonuses.

Cool. I have a butt ton of them. I'll sort them out and ship them when I remember to do so....PM me your address.

Blame it on the 90s. Back in the long, long ago, when something really sucked, they foiled it in order to get people to buy it. If MTG ever does a constant hologram type card, I'm cashing out because the whole industry is about to collapse.

Foils were actually one of the reasons I got out back in the day.
First reason was chronicles and its making quite a few legends and other things worthless overnight.
It gave us the feeling that at any moment, Wizards could and would reprint anything.
(No reserve list back then, they made the reserve list because so many bailed)

The second reason was abilities were getting odder

Third reason was foils, I mean...what the hell is this, Pokemon? Foils? That is not Magic the Gathering?
All of the sudden the market went sideways due to foils.

It's cool. One man's hated card (Vexing Devil) is another man's "WHY THE FUCK HAVE I ONLY OPENED ONE OF THESE GODDAMN IT'S NOT A MYTHIC MOTHERFUCKERS"

<---dropped for foils

I'll have to flip through my collection and send you a list, Hex. I don't mind going 1-1 either, I hate em too. From AVR I know I have Terminus and Mistmoon Griffin, and I know I've got some in NM from Ravnica and Kami.

Very cool, I will actually organize by boxes (finally) by set to make it easier to find everything myself.

Also speaking of boxes, what do you guys use? I've been using the boxes from my fat packs but I'm still very much short storage. Do you just use shoe boxes or something?

Can you sacrifice a creature to activate multiple abilities? Like if two cards have sacrifice a creatre: blah blah, do I have to kill 2?

No, because it's a cost. If it was something like every time a creature enters the graveyard x happens then it's fine but you have to pay that cost to activate and you've only paid or one.

You have to sacrifice two, AFAIK. Since that's the "cost." Think of this way: Would you be able to tap two lands and play a two mana cost card (doesn't matter if they're colorless or not, just go with this) for two cards? No.

No you can't. Sacrifice is a "cost," much like mana.

edit: so beaten. Okay, here's something that I have never been able to square - if my opponent forces me to sacrifice, and I use an instant to sacrifice the targeted creature first...my spell goes through and he gets to choose a new target, right? Or does my spell fizzle since costs are faster?

Ok, cool. So the graveyard entry ones and a sacrifice one would all work by killing off one creature.

Is Myr Turbine the cheapest artifact token generator that doesn't cost mana to make tokens? It seems like Dross Scorpion is a really easy way to make infinites.

Yeah, that's right. If card A has "Sacrifice target creature" or something like that, and card B has "whenever you sacrifice a creature" OR "whenever a creature enters your graveyard," they both work fine.

Isn't the order first-in, last-out? If they activate a sacrifice and you go "wait, I'm going to sacrifice that creature" your sacrifice resolves first. His has no target so doesn't happen.

Similar to "bouncing" creatures that get Giant Growth with a "return to hand" instant?

Do you have an example? Usually sac cards don't target it says target player sacs a creature or whatever.

Edit: ^ It would but I don't remember any sacs that target unless it's an old card?

Yeah, I can't think of any targeted sacrifice spells. They all target a player and that player chooses a creature when the spell resolves. You can't do anything to prevent that from happening (aside from counter magic).
