Let me preface this by saying I haven't played WipEout 2048 in a month or so, but I saw that there was an update. 1.02. Says it improves load times and has bug fixes. How new is this? (it's not the original patch; I have played many times since that one.)

I'm downloading it now. Will be interesting to see how improved the load times are, if at all.

Pretty sure the Wipeout 2048 1.02 patch is like a month old from yesterday, lol.

Sony's kinda dropping the ball on store content. I feel like there's nothing to download when I log on. :(

There hasn't been anything in awhile, aside from Disgaea and Mortal Kombat in the past 3-4. weeks. I'd love some Lumines, Wipeout or Hot Shots DLC but Sony doesn't want my money for some reason.

Yup. Makes me think the people in charge don't actually own their own devices and use them. If they did and saw this for themselves week after week they might actually start doing something.

What there needs to be is demos of all the games like XBL has. Also, PSN is in desperate need of pictures of the games when you click on them and look at the description.

Lol, figures. It probably came out like a day after I stopped playing it. Nevertheless, it seems to have improved load times. I got into a race in 30 seconds, which, while not great, is definitely better than it was. It was a also faster getting into the game, which took way too long before.

I know. It's very disappointing.

100% agreed on both demos and screenshots. The screenshot thing especially seems like such a glaring omission.

They should find some kind of free regular content on it, like the vid channel on 3ds. This kind of console should make us feel like there is something new or a reason to be connected everyday. It can be anything, giving pictures to people or i don't know what.

I really, really, really wish they would put this back up on NA PSN... I've wanted to play it on my Vita since February - sort of as a prequel to this month's Vita game - but for some stupid reason SEA have decided they don't want me to give them more money for a game I already own on UMD, even though I'd do so gladly for this one...

Why was it removed from US region? That sucks since I wanted to buy it when it was cheap :(

not making excuses for sony, but, if you're into disgaea, there's your 3-4 weeks worth of gameplay right there :) ...

Vita needs a re-imagined Playstation Home. Imagine all the possibilities with an always on, worldwide virtual hub - makes much more sense than on a console.

It would be spectacular if they would enable PS1 classics, along with increased compatibility of PSP games and Minis. This would be an easy way to increase the PS Vita library with proven quality content.

Of course, they need to get the ball rolling with compelling new Vita-exclusive games, too. I really hope PS Suite gets off to a good start--it could be a great way to bring in new developers, particularly those who cut their programming teeth on smartphone games.

SO true - expected way more PSN games - even ports like Braid, VVVV, Sword and Soldiers etc. really disappointing so far.

A few minor games appeared between the full-game releases, like Pure Chess and Pinball Arcade.

The Chess game is quite good.

Glad I'm waiting then. Seems like great technology, and I want it, but I want to make sure I'll get good use out of it.

Hope E3 brings good news.

Lemme guess, your account is SCEA? There's been some fine minis released recently that Europe apparently gets to run on their Vitas, but we don't.

So I went a little crazy and added 50 bucks to my wallet thinking I'd buy NGS+, but I've since decided against it in favor of some PSP games.

Bought Resistance Retribution and already own Ghosts of Sparta, Chinatown Wars, VC2, Liberty City Stories.

What other must have PSP titles should I get?

Gods Eater Burst (need a ps3 for transfer this one) is good, so is Megaman Maverick Hunter X, Dissidia 012 is good even if you don't like final fantasy, Half Minute Hero is tons of fun too. And if you never played pixeljunk monsters before get deluxe for and play on vita, good buy since it's on sale.

Am I doing this wrong?

I'm currently trying to transfer my save from the PS3 to my Vita, and it's not working.
The problem is that the Vita does not recognize the PS3 unless it's through the content manager, and the content manager cannot be utilized while a game is active on the PS3, and transfarring just doesn't work unless the MGS HD Collection is in use.

It's a big circle of crazy going on here.

Now, I tried to transfer my PSP save to the PS3 Peace Walker months ago (with an old PSPGo), but it said trophy support could not be supported (I guess since the save did not originate from the HD Collection).

Not sure what I should do here. Am I just screwed? Or should I copy my Peace Walker save from the PS3 to the Vita with the content manager? If that's the case, this Transfarring crap is only relevant for PSP-PS3 transfer, but useless for the Vita.

Edit: So, you can't transfer a PS3 save to a Vita through content manager (just tried), there's no way to transfer the PW save. Also, Vita doesn't recognize the PW save through the content manager. Either way, I guess, I am screwed.

last time i checked the Store i could swear there were photos , werent they?

No, it would come in handy for the Minis. Some games show gameplay, but that's only for some games, when viewed on the PS3.

I hope I can word this properly:

Am I able to activate TWO Vita's using my ONE PSN account and share my games and play multiplayer between the two Vitas? Or is only one Vita allowed to be 'active' at any one time?

Apologies if this has been answered.

Yes to the first question.
Just don't expect to be able to go online at the same time.

I would kill for 2 PSN games I already own, The Red Star and Thexder Neo, to work on my Vita. I love the system but I have probably spent less than an hour on it in the last 2 weeks. Thinking of downloading the PSP Def Jam game since I loved all of AKI's other games.

Awesome, thanks for the recommends.

I need TerRover on vita.

Has anyone tried using Ad hoc party for Vita games that are ad hoc only? There was some posts here awhile back saying it worked if you had the exact same game from the same region but I never got around to confirming it.

I've played MHFU online with a friend and we were both on Vitas.

Nope, Japanese store does though. I have no idea about the Euro store, but the US store is barren text. Go to the JP store, on both PS3 and Vita it is leagues better than our US one, it's pathetic.

it is quite odd how everything Sony does for vita seems to lack... consistency? It's like their left hand does not talk to their right hand or their penis or w/e.

Trying to figure out which psp game works on which region and which ones appear on store or ps3 or w/e is quite a task...

AND I STILL HAVE NO CLUE WHAT NEAR EVEN DOES!!!!

Yeah and whatever happened to the HD Fury DLC that was supposed to be coming to Wipeout 2048? Didnt they say spring? Yeah they did.

God knows, I want to know what happened to that AR stuff too, I thought it was all built into the game but apparently was also going to come at some later point.

Sony all over for you, lol, one of the reasons they have fallen so far behind.
They should just hire someone to go over each bit of content on the Playstation Store and sort all the information out, make sure everything is in the right category and everything shows up properly where it is suppose to.

As for Near, the only thing I've seen it do is show you who is near you and gives you some items for games, but so far I've only seen Reality Fighters stuff.

Yeah it's very annoying and the worst part is they keep mentioning how they are aware of the problem and it still continues!

I actually found the exact kind of pouch/sleeve I'm looking for, all nice and official, but apparently it's an accessory that's only sold in Japan as of now. (huge picture)

I might just order one of those couple-buck knockoff ones. Can't find any way to get my hands on one of these.

My wireless network adapter (on PC) randomly died. That led me to find out that Content Manager will only transfer files to Vita if it can connect to the internet. Wow...that's ridiculous.

Yep, DRM can be a real pain. Thank the rampant PSP pirating for the extra measures that Sony is putting in place with the Vita.

Quick question:

how to convert mkv file without losing subtitles for vita ?

If you're using Handbrake, then you need to "burn in" the subtitles. What this does is it imprints the text on the frame, rather than having the device show the text over the frame, which the Vita apparently can't do. So, select the subtitles to be burned in from the drop-down menu and click "add". Then, click on the subtitles you added and check the "burn in" and "default" options.

About to pick up a vita. Having not kept up with it, any suggestions? I'll mostly be playing it at home so wi-fi only my best bet? And what size card is ideal given the size of files you've all acquired?

Yeah, I totally feel for them on that. I was just shocked when I found out I couldn't transfer my own mp3s over to the Vita without an internet connection. Especially since my Vita could connect just fine.

I'm using the 16 GB card. I have several PSP games, as well as many audio and video files, which I swap out fairly regularly. All of my Vita games are retail.

And if you're going to be using it primarily at home, then yeah, save yourself some money and go with the wifi model.

Alright, got it! Now to tinker around.

Nice. That is almost exactly what I got. Vita + Modnation + Uncharted for $240. No memory card but all three items were sealed.

In case you don't like Modnation, BestBuy is giving $16 for TIV. Go on one of their 50% bonus TIV days and you get $24 for it towards another game.

Thank you. Now are there any specific in store deals I should be aware of before I head out? Target has Uncharted for 39 so I may go there unless the system is on sale elsewhere.
