Capcom To Have No Playable Nintendo System Games at E3 2012

For Wii U what did you guys think would be playable from Capcom? I bet you 100 fake internet dollars Capcom will have something announced for Wii U at E3.

I thought they would have something like Street Fighter X Tekken Wii U Edition playable or something like that.

HELL NO, no, kinda
Don't do this.

Street Fighter IV did well, the Mercenaries 3D sold 400k + last year which is good enough. Revelations might be the only one which didn't meet expectations.

Nah, I just think that RE is one of those series that people don't want to play on a handheld. It's a console series.

I agree, would prefer it on consoles.

But in the end people like good games regardless of platform, and if we're fair and compare the games sold to userbase ratio, then 3DS wins.

No Wii U playables means they're less likely to be releasing anything for the platform within the launch window, though it shouldn't be taken as confirmation of such.
There is a follow up Wii U event in Japan a week after E3: it wouldn't surprise me if some Japanese developers would choose this over E3.

I know what you're referring to, but I'm pretty sure Iwata's wording indicated that that wouldn't be a distinct event and would just be a chance for Japanese retailers/press/analysts/etc. unable to travel to LA to try out the E3 lineup.

The first truly Japan-centric Wii U event will probably be whatever's planned for September.

Did Resident Evil Revelations, Resident Evil Mercenaries, and Street Fighter 4 sell well on 3DS?

The last 2 did well, particularity SF4 which is over 1.1m WW. RE:R did well in Japan but disappointed in NA. Although RE:R may have a good tail considering it is now part of Nintendo's 3DS commercials for NA.

Absolutely, however I wouldn't have expected much from them at launch outside of a fighting game. You are a right though, this doesn't necessarily mean they wont have something for launch.

As long as they show some Capcom games I will be happy; they don't have to be playable.
Oh sure. Capcom was one of the few "good" third parties on Wii so here's hoping for some cool announcements.

Oh, my bad. September-ton it is.

Not counting Japan, Rev is like 50k higher.

That said, Rev is still really disappointing to me :(

Too bad we won't be seeing RE6 at launch. No playable Caccpom games for Nintendo at E3 confirms it.

I still think Wii U will get RE6 Gold Edition sometime next year.

When a junior comes into an existing thread with notable new information it's generally polite to help them post it guys. :P
