Diablo III |OT2| Queues Rise. Servers Fall.

I didn't get a message for restart either. It just booted me all of a sudden.

This is especially frustrating for those of us that balance heavy workloads with little free time at home. I've been waiting to play this game for ages, but it launched during a very busy week for me at work. When I finally make it home to play after lusting about it all day, the servers are down.

Oh well. I trust that Blizzard is working hard to fix it.

Sincerely,

Hopelessly optimistic

thats not how diablo works lol

you dont need to do anything for your shit to save...

the only times people have lost items is because of weird server rollbacks or resyncs

I know that this is not how Diablo is supposed to work but this is how it went every single time the servers went down since the game came out.

Yeah, I received no warning the servers were going down. A couple people in general chat mentioned it, but I thought it was just assholes being assholes. Hope I didn't lose too much progress.

While we wait, here's my DH for the lulz:

Serenity only gets 7 times more ridiculous as you level it too. Not to mention your default fist gets a teleport on it really early. I haven't even tried the last fist attack. I can't wait until my exploding palm gets the spirit regen effect to it.

Crippling Wave is probably the best Monk standard attack.

Question about the Monk - Do I suffer any damage penalties if I wear a non-fist weapon like a sword or axe for example?

Barely finding any fist weapons on my character.-_-

Go to bedroom to play some D3, can't get in. Go back to living room to watch the ball game, browse gaf, guys are getting back in. Walk back to bedroom, try to log on, can't get in. Go back to living room to watch the ball game, browse gaf, guys are getting back in.

That's been my last 30 minutes.

How exactly does one screw up server messages? I didn't receive any warning when the server was about to go down either, except from people in chat. Weird.

Nice! My Level 13 Wizard and I are happy again.

Young wizards: Is Torrent as lame as it feels? I just got and already want to switch back to Arcane Orbs.

Torrent is definitely as lame as it feels. I just hit level 17 and Arcane Orb is still my one and only baby. I'm hoping Disintegrate is useful.

I'm around 35 on my Demon Hunter and in Nightmare. Could have been further, but some family obligations on Tuesday pulled me away. The game is absolutely great, but all of the issues surrounding the servers is pretty inexcusable in my opinion. Sure, things are usually expected to be a bit rocky with an online launch of this magnitude. However, calling it a rocky start at the point would be a gross understatement.

I saw the warning. I was like oh okay let's log out and go eat. Went downstairs, ate pizza for about 10ish minutes. Came back up. Logged back in with no issues and saw 2 of my friends were online playing and thought, "Oh okay. Quick fix. Cool." Went back in, played 3-4 minutes, boom crashz0rz TROLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

No!!! It teased me by actually letting me put in my authenticator pw but then it shot me down again.

I feel so bad for you guys who've been dealing with this for days (just bought a full game key)

The way they've screwed the rest up. Now I'm certain I didn't see warnings since others have chimed in too.

Man, I was about 15 minutes into fighting the last boss when the server went down :(

The fight is...more than 15 minutes long? Jesus. lol

Just finished Normal in 16 hours and 1 minute at level 32. Gets pretty crazy in act 3 and 4.

Got 1 legendary from a normal mob in act 3 but it was shit :(

Now the solo slog is over its coop time :D (tomorrow, three nights in a row with only 4 hours sleep is killing me)

From Twitter:

Unfortunately we've had a few delays in bringing the #D3 servers back online. No ETA yet, please stay tuned. http://bit.ly/KR1V29

TY BLIZZARD.

DAMN YOU BLIZZARD! I work all day longing to play D3, then I struggle all night fighting lag instead of monsters and waiting for the damn servers to work.

I've tried five times tonight to get through the end of Act I normal, but I've been disconnected every time. And now the servers are down.

Fuck it, think I'll play some WoW while I wait to relax a bit.

Here's what I'm using at level 25.

Nowhere near as efficient as my Dire Bat build, and I miss Spirit Walk something fierce, but damn it's fun. I should probably ditch Hex but he picks up Hedge Magic in half a level ;p

Level 29 atm.

Firebomb
Acid Cloud - Acid Rain
Hex - Hedge Magic
Grasp of the Dead - Eels
Wall of Zombies
Gargantuan - Humongoid

I absolutely destroy everything with this build. Haven't died a single time since the middle of Act 2 and that was only due to rushing through a timed event.

Fact: I didn't get a message in-game. I started playing 10 minutes before the server crash.

Fact 2: People who are just now trying to log in for the first time today, did not get any kind of warning that they wouldn't be able to play their single-player game upon returning home from work due to "login issues", that I suppose their tech guys are going to get around to fixing someday.

Yeah, the person I was playing with didn't get the message either, and we'd been playing for a good hour or so.
