You get into this Diablo mindset and start murdering everything. Having the right skills does help, since you could be gimping yourself if you use certain skills early on. I finished Normal about 16 hours or so, which is what I expected, since I tend to look around and do side quests etc.
 
Is anyone else just vendoring all the blues and rares they are getting to accelerate the acquirement of the third shared stash tab?

I kind of feel like I waste them when I don't turn them into components.

I tend to collect a load and Salvage them, then the next set I just sell. Helps balance training him until he needs the Pages+Cash.

Money is not really an issue once you start using the AH for cash, instead of selling items you pick up.

Might get lucky! They have the starter edition but I am not sure if that is the Guest Account thing or if it will just be open for everyone later.

You have to keep in mind the 10 auction max limit though and the fact that you can't set the duration. Only decent/good or better things will sell for much. It's a waste of time to do anything but vendor something with really bad stats. It's not worth the auction space, even if you put it up for cheap.

Almost nothing from Normal should be worth spending more than 10k at most on anyway.

I got sick of being so fragile on my DH. So I spent like 50k redoing myself. I sacrificed dps for damage avoidance and HP.

At level 45:

18k HP
45% damage reduction from armor.
Another 25% or so reduced physical damage.
10% block chance (Demon Hunter with a shield ;P)
21% dodge chance
up to 819 damage blocked per block.

Measly 1170 dps at level 45. But damn does it feel good to power through nightmare tanking the mobs with NO Templar. Fuck yeah. I hit the AH and searched for all gear with sockets Vitality and Dexterity. Then socketed everything with Vitality gems. I dont die easily at all anymore. Can stand right in the thick of it with a Yellow and just eat the damage until I feel like snaring and backing off. Much better.

Man, that's a ton of loot. Can't wait to try out Neph Valor, still level 55 in act 2 of Hell.
 
I really wish they would give us the option to change the text colors of gems. I din#t want to miss them among the trash.

Isnt the point of DH to avoid damage by dancing about?

I need to work out the best skill/rune setup to boost my monks dodge as much as possible.

er...is that really something that needs to be spoiled? I've lost faith in humanity if so.
But yeah, some packs of those are FUCKS.
The worst part is they make it so hard to target the correct mob, and god forbid you be a ranged character without piercing, cause you will never hit them. Kind of dumb.

I also think Horde is pretty f'n annoying, especially with arcane or frost.

Oh yes.

Only thing I would suggest (though I haven't seen the Mac version of the game yet) would probably be to run it in bootcamp.

Hopefully someone here can shed light on the performance of the Mac client for you.

The game recommends a 4870 though...

I wouldn't play this game on anything less than a 4890 at 1080p resolutions.

Performance on the Mac client = shit. Though it may only be really bad on some models of MBP. Stay away from the Mac client at all costs for the time being if you have access to a PC/Bootcamp.

Hopefully they fix it, as it's pretty disappointing not being able to play at all on my preferred OS.

Run your 5 software updates dude :P

I'm running on a more powerful Macbook than that, while my friend is running on a much less powerful one. Both run the game fine, you might have turn off shadows or something to get the resolution you want (I had to), but it'll be fine.
