So as for this news if we can call it news, looking at the info it would mix on rails Starfox with Metroid planet exploring? sounds like a messier Starfox Adventures, also sounds like the most outlandish rumour i've heard in some time. It's nice for a laugh though.

Well, if it's Retro, then Nintendo fans will probably go nuts over it. Personally, I've never enjoyed the Metroid Prime series..so I've got little reason to get hyped for what they might do to Star Fox (my favourite Nintendo IP). The fusion sounds ridiculous, though. Those two universes just scream "incompatible", besides the fact that they're both sci-fi.

People wanted to see another Metroid, others want Retro to revive another Nintendo series, some want something completely different.
Combine them together and we have Starfox/Metroid mashup to please everyone, it all makes sense now.
Except there's no DKCR2 involved here so yeah I guess it is a contradiction, that's what we all really want.

The only negative I can see here is that it would decreases the likelihood of Star Fox and F-Zero ever crossing over and that needs to happen.
But Other M's plot was no worse than Fusion's, or even Super's. It's the dialogue and Samus' seemingly abusive relationship with Adam that ruined it for most people.

No lie, Kid Icarus Uprising made me want a Kid Icarus x Metroid Cross Over.

- Gives the fans both HD Metroid and HD Starfox as well as being overly appealing to the core with GRAPHIXSHHHHHHHH and gameplay variety.
- Broadens the target fanbase for the overall game, lowering the financial risk. Both Starfox and Metroid are very C-team as of late, they can help revive each other.
- Metroid stages are described as being 'void of any character contact' which shows this isn't going to be some crappy Saturday morning cartoon mashup, especially as the characters seem to meet up very late on.

The thing is, what if this rumour is true and the game is fuking amazing. Like the best thing since slide bread. The Metroid section is awesome prime, and the starfox is a mix of snes and 64. It plays perfectly in both sides and have graphics that would cream the pants of any person, and the music is a fucking amazing orchestra that would blow the ears off.
It only has a little fun story about Andross and Mother Brain and its not taking itself too seriously.
Its Retro, if the game was released the above could perfectly happen.
Then, the people here that are saying is insane and would not touch the game with a ten foot pole, would they buy it becuase is fucking incredible?
Thats the real question here.
