How many times is the topic of "AH is/isn't ruining the game" going to come up when there is no consensus?

This point is, people shouldn't be speculating what needs to be fixed and what's ruining the game less than a week after launch and after playing only a class or two. The knee jerk reactions are puzzling.

I highly doubt Method was "world first". The asian market had the game almost a full day before anyone on our side of the world even touched it. He just may be the first to stream/tape it. Either way, he didn't actually do it in my eyes. cheesing the game takes little skill.

I finshed act 2 in co-op, nightmare.
the problem is that if now I go in "public games" I am at half of act 2, not even the final part. wtf? What's wrong.

Seems like everyone did. I finally got my single legendary drop in Nightmare Act III. Luckily for me it was pretty awesome and something I can probably use for a while.

I know some lucky ass people that got 2 legendary drops in Normal, I think it was a legendary dagger and shield, it's too bad his blue was better than those items :lol

Act II final boss is a bitch on normal lol.........took me 3 tries and when I did finally kill him I died right when he exploded into loot lol......I got an achievement for surviving with 0.6 health but I guess a DOT got me haha

I can only imagine how hard he is on the later difficulties

Diablo dropping 4 blues is actually amazing.

I remember a Baal clear of mine on Nightmare a few years ago that netted a few potions and a scroll of identify.

Exactly. It'll take a long time before anything is stabilized, especially when the real money market opens. It's not a one and done kind of deal.

You aren't the only one. Surprisingly, a lot of people are experiencing the same thing. Clearing Act II Boss with a sliver of health. I had to pop a potion just as it died. If I had been any slower...

I'm halfway through Act 2 and I have a question.

If I take my lvl 19 demon hunter and redo a couple of act 1 quests, I can go back to the place I'm at in the story without losing anything (checkpoints, etc)?

This really bothers me. Collecting sets and uniques was pretty much my favorite activity in Diablo II. They are too rare and there are too few.

In fairness, this was a problem in Diablo II as well up until LoD.

Most likely a question of MF. When you could farm the chest I did it with 100 MF and I could get a rare almost every time. Without MF gear, I didn't even get a single rare off of any of the Nightmare Act bosses >_>

Would Having played Diablo II HC Hell classify as left normal?

Did you trade gear?

You'll reset to one of the checkpoints inside the quest.

Through D2 I almost never saw a unique actually drop. We'll, ok, I saw them drop, but I was never on the receiving end of them. I had pretty awful internet connection for most of my D2 playing time. That's the thing is that with separate drops, things have to be a bit more sparse. Unfortunately separate drops do mean that you never get to witness those other drops. So, it feels like less.

Seriously.

Some of the legendary items don't look that great. I thought they'd be far and away better than Rares.

I can see why they don't want you farming rares off of bosses, but atleast let them drop in nightmare/hell/inferno when you're running through them for the first time.

I got my only legendary in Act 2 normal but it was crappy (and still hasn't sold...). I'm going through nightmare rightnow so hopefullly I'll see more.

My magic find is really low though, I got to fix that.

Got my first decent legendary drop today in act 2 of NM. I've gotten 3 other drops but they've all been pretty terrible.

Too bad I'm a wizard. Oh well. Guess I'll either hold onto it for an alt, or AH it when the market stabilizes a bit.

Why do people complain about AH ruining the game? You're not forced to use it if you don't like it.

To be fair, it limits you in public games too if you're not using it. It's like the performance enhancing drug of Diablo. You might not want to use it, but if enough people are then you're forced to just to keep up. So "just don't use it" becomes "just don't use it and only play solo or only with friends who have also sworn not to use it"... Which is pretty narrow.

Yeah, this is pretty crazy. I see more awesome stuff drop off of normal mobs or barrels than off the act bosses in nightmare. It sucked going through all that to kill Act IV's boss and then getting absolutely nothing for it.

My cousin will kill for that legendary :lol

He's been farming like crazy to get one XD

Either I am doing something very wrong or something is going very wrong here.

I can't count how often I have had to redo quests because the game doesnt save my progress. Just got to act 2 nightmare but after leaving the game and joining another I am back at killing the spider queen thingy?!

Did you trade gear?
Nope. Only move items among my characters. Risk of getting screwed or PK are too high to be worthwhile. With AH, it would be stupid to not use it even though I think it does greatly diminish one of Diablo's major addiction, loot farming.

The most immediate and easiest upgrade to AH is to just add simple sorting options.

It boggles the mind why you can't do so much as group your completed auctions by date. Seems like such an obvious and convenient thing to allow. How are they even grouped? Seems completely random.

Yep, the AH is absolutely garbage imo. Not talking about the actual gear, but the search function is laughably lame. Why didn't they just copy'n'paste the AH from WoW?

Soul harvest is a must on any WD. I also love my Gargantuan. He tanks all the bosses like a boss.

Yea, I'm keeping harvest and gargantuan as they are really useful!

Acid rain seems good, and I use grasp too much to get rid of it

Darts or exploding frogs and dogs vs hex is the hard choice right now

BTW, I can't believe people were saying Act 2 is weak visually. I haven't seen much beyond Act 2, which may skew results a bit, but the backgrounds with the abandoned cities and the little houses and mining scaffolds in the desert were all spectacular and beautiful.

You'll reset to one of the checkpoints inside the quest.

Awesome, thanks. Considering I'm at the Hidden Camp and haven't started the next quest, I'm okay.

Indeed! Act 2 is beautiful!

It's crazy how simply putting same color dye on all your gear suddlenly make your dude look like a crazy bad ass... All the random gear look like set gear now!

I thought Act 2 was boring. I really didn't enjoy it.

PKd, in town?
Anyway, trading didn't diminish the addiction in D2, it won't diminish it in D3. What remains to be seen is whether Blizz will put in a ladder system again.
