It's crazy how simply putting same color dye on all your gear suddlenly make your dude look like a crazy bad ass... All the random gear look like set gear now!
Do you know where I can buy pink dye?

I thought Act 2 was boring. I really didn't enjoy it.

Storywise it's kind of bland. And visually we already did this in Act 2 of D2, but graphically it looks great. And I like the little story events and bonus/hidden stuff. I'm enjoying it more than the second half of Act 1.

PKd, in town?
Anyway, trading didn't diminish the addiction in D2, it won't diminish it in D3. What remains to be seen is whether Blizz will put in a ladder system again.

When I was still playing DII, long time ago, there was a PK town glitch. And, it was much harder to trade for items back than so I don't think it had as much of an affect. Now, I would be shocked if one person haven't use the AH.

To be honest I never cared about the story in Diablo 3 (I haven't played Diablo and Diablo 2 by the way) , to the point where I skipped most of the cutscenes. It's one of the few games I only play for the (addictive) gameplay.

They really should. And make the AH less the be-all end-all of trading, there should be some incentive to barter as well.

People who keep getting failed auctions taking up space: sell gems. Since you get an average price for each type, you can more accurately gauge what a decent price should be. Those things go quickly. You frequently get a sale seconds after putting up a gem auction.

And a fun thing about the AH 10/2-day limits is when you think you're gonna have some failed auctions sitting there for the next couple days, you log in, and you managed to get a few sales. :p Makes it more satisfying.

Having said that, RMAH is gonna be really, really weird.

Bought this game digitally. I downloaded with minimal problems but i haven't been able to install this shit for 2 hours now. I've encountered 4 kinds of errors/bugs so far. This is literally the first time i've seen so many problems while installing any kind of software. I'm kinda pissed at the moment.

Does anyone know what the deal is with the player cap on public games? Every game I join seems to be limited to 2 people. As soon as the other player leaves one immediately joins so it's not just being unlucky but the actual game seems capped at 2. I thought 4 should be possible?

Is it normal that I still mostly get Subtle Essence (the normal level one) when I salvage stuff in Nightmare? I'm about to go to the SK so I know I'm still early but I though it was a clear cut between the diffictulties?

It's not actually capped. I think what happens is that when you go to a public game it throws you into a game with the least amount of people, probably so that guy isn't sitting there alone when he wanted a public game. It's really a shitty system and I miss just choosing your freaking game...

I love exploring the map and coming upon a random event. It's just as intriguing as finding a new item. They should add more and more of these in the future.

hopefully going to finish Hell today

Love it. But stop using swords, you need axes.

Does anyone not use the splinters rune with darts? I just can't justify NOT using it.

I'm also convinced that Dire bats are awesome. Helps with big crowds.

I've been using the mana regen version of darts. Creates an almost monk-like regen of mana, which I was continually running out of spamming FireBats. It can take down packed mobs so fast I just haven't gotten into DireBats.

Now that I finally checked out the AH... wow what a mess that thing is.

Terrible search functions and UI. Needs a massive overhaul. It will probably get it in some time down the road.

I am so proud of my AH-less DH. LVL30 and kicking ass so far. But you really have to be on your toes playing with DH (never let anyone even get close), the reward is the insane DPS at long range.

The XP thing seems to have fixed itself, I was
looking for the second hell rift in the 2nd tier, when I found it and entered it, I was back to earning xp

Funny story:

Last night, I was in the elevator of my mom's apartment with my roommate, on our way to her place for dinner.

On the way up, a couple guys got into the elevator, and overheard us talk about how late we were up the previous night, and how we really should stop doing that.

Then one of the guys in the elevator asked "Were you guys playing Diablo 3?"

We just stared at him, and said "Uhh....yeah."

He just replied "I know that feeling, man. I can't stop playing."

Battletag list is updated to this post. Added instructions to the OP if you want to make sure you're not passed over. If you posted your info in the past oh, about 5000 posts, be sure to check I got your info correct. I'm human and sometimes make typos, which would render a Battletag unusable if I screwed up on that section.

I don't. Choosing from the list was even worse. Literally you'd spend a whole day and maybe find a couple of good games where everyone hadn't already finished what you wanted to do and wasn't full. But if that's the case they should really just have global public games for people wanting multiplayer (spinning a new game up when one isn't available). I have yet to play more than 2 players after about 8 or so hours of playing. It's really lame.

I only get 5 hours of sleep now because of this game :x

The only thing stopping me from playing this all night is Blizzard themselves :lol

You should add them as friends since they're local

Seriously I have to stop too... I normally get off work around midnight so when I come home I sometimes end up playing 2 or 3 hours before sleeping.

Yeah, to me it's just more frustrating to never have a game above 2 people. I'd rather just choose my game.

I also wish they had some sort of group or clan function so we could have all of the GAF people on it. I don't think the list allows you to add everyone that's in the list on here, and even if it did that's a lot of people to manually add. There should be groups...

Lol it does seem to be big enough that you can bump into another player IRL pretty often.

It was pretty amusing to me seeing who booked off a seemingly unimportant Tuesday to most at work. I got a laugh at some of the people missing that day. Boss's son didn't even show up.

I never go to sleep after 12 usually. I get sleepy so early these days, yet Diablo 3 has had me up until 4 am almost every night. It's not healthy.

HAHA!!

Today I almost died from a stroke

I was playing Act IV on HC mode, with 2 more barbs and a DH, we arrived @
Izual
and for some twisted fucking reason, the game was bugged and TWO of them spawned.

Needless to say, the 2 barbs (level 33) died shortly. I was left with the DH, alone and both bosses had 75% hp left. Somehow we managed to kill both but FUCK I'm still shaking

It's funny because clans was a planned Diablo 2 feature.

I know it's nothing compared to some of you crazies, but the fact that I played for six hours straight the last couple of days is INSANE. My average gaming session for at least the last ten years has been an hour or less.

Groups that have their own channels would've been amazing. :(

I downloaded the Starter Edition of the game through a code on my MacBook, it doesn't run well.

I was wondering if I could download the client and play on a friend's PC of mine from where I left off. He already has the client but when I log into my account, it says Diablo 3 isn't activated.

Are the Starter codes a one time use for a system? I don't understand.
