No, it doesn't include those runes when calculating for the AH

I'm pretty sure the AH does not factor that in. I've bought stuff with gems, and also when you compare to the weapons in your hand with a gem it'll show the base DPS sans gem, not what it is with gem. I know this because I've had gemmed weapons pretty much the whole game.

How do you gem weapons anyway? I have yet to find a gem or find an opportunity to buy one.

Just one more level until my Witch Doctor unlocks Vision Quest and by proxy INFINITE MANA

Thanks to Hazard, Act II of Hell is finally in the bag. Good lord is that boss fight bad, and even more so when you are lagging.

If I didn't know it before, I know it now: Monks are OP, and anyone that has chosen a different class is doing it wrong, myself included.

It's possible. Easier, some would say. Until you get to a particularly difficult boss.
Explains why people who played as Monk said it was too easy.
Monks have to hit things to live which becomes really stupid in Inferno.

Just for the record, this is correct. I bought a dagger, and when it went to my stash the DPS was like 17 greater in-game because of the rune than what the AH said.

However, if you sort the AH by DPS, it does seem to factor in the rune, even though it doesn't display the proper DPS in the DPS column

Can someone explain the huge frog?

Does just shooting it out cause damage? It doesn't seem to be able to eat all enemy types so in those cases does it still do damage on contact or is it useless?

What are you guys using as your setup for your Witch Doctors? I like Acid Rain and the fire frogs.

I am using Fire Bomb and Vampiric Fire Bats along with Grasp of the Dead with Groping Eels as my damage spells. I got Gargantuan with Restless Giant for tanking. I am of course using Soul Harvest, as should every other Witch Doctor our there, too increase my dps by 50%. And finally I've got Mass Confusion as my 'OH SHIT' panic button. For Passives I use Spiritual Attunement and Blood Ritual to allow me to spam Firebats for longer, and Pierce the Veil to sacrifice the other two passives for more damage. ;)

Totally mystified on which character to roll next. I'm seriously totally into trying all of them.

Had a ball on the wizard.

RECOMMENDATIONS?

I'm having issues with lag but in a weird way. When I boot the game up, it runs super fast and smooth. Within seconds, it goes to a super crawl. Like, click and a full 2 sec before attack animation. What gives? It's unplayable.

I thought it was settings, but if it's Default, or Low (all settings), it still happens. Whenever I change settings and get out of menu, it runs silky smooth again. A few seconds later, it crawls. Is this my hardware, servers, some setting I should change?

It really shouldn't be this bad... I didn't have this kind of issues playing witcher 2, and that's got to be more demanding.

Same issues here, it's unplayable for me which has me extremely ticked off.

Woohoo! Me and three friends just got done beating the game. Managed to be level 34 by the time the final boss fell. What an awesome ride! Now on to Nightmare mode!

So, yesterday there was talk of the downloadable install and disc-based install having different quality FMVs, in terms of compression. Was this just placebo effect, or is there really a quality difference in the FMVs between the two versions? Just got done watching the cinematics on my CE blu-ray disc and couldn't help but drool the whole time.

Totally can't wait to watch all of those again off the Bluray. They looked fantastic enough straight through the game, but I can only imagine the AV upgrade from the BR.

Once you've unlocked nightmare mode for one character, does it mean that you can start at that level with new characters of different classes?

It is most puzzling and vexing that out of all the possible decisions Blizzard could chose to implement for saving, they decided to choose the checkpoint option under complete mercy of one's ISP connection and Blizzard server stability/ability, with nary a inpoint from the player.

It is perhaps one of the most puzzling decisions they made when creating this game. Just what exactly prevent them from implementing the default D2 multiplayer save option, which allowed the player to save anywhere, anytime in the world without nary an issue?

Almost done with hell act 1 on my monk and I love it so far. My monk doesn't do much damage but hes great as a support tank. I can keep my barb and wizard alive with mantra of healing spam. I foresee problems in inferno though because if I can't build up spirit i get absolutely wrecked.

Are you sure you played multiplayer D2? Because there is no save system in multiplayer D2. Only waypoints are saved.

Loot and XP were saved minute to minute, but that's done here too.

Finally hit level 60, with 59 hours played, with a lot of those hours being idle time, or helping friends with lower difficulty things. I'd say I put about 50 hours into the Wizard. Hell was absolutely insane, and I won't be stepping a foot into Inferno until I have WAAAAY better gear, so it might be a bit, and I'll probably level another class for the hell of it.

So I somehow got a Magic (blue) amulet. Socketed no less. But it has no stats whatsoever without a gem. :(
Yeah socketed amulets/rings are hilarious :lol

+70 Dex, 400 DPS Bow for 5k? Yes, I think I'll take that thanks.

What are people basing their prices on?

Damn, I have yet to find a decent deal on the Auction House, mostly because I get bored halfway through and decide to play some more. Maybe one day I will find something of value for a good price. I have made about 500k on the AH so far from selling some Hell rares.

Playing alone for the first time feels very weird :( All skills and runes needs to be changed and I need to take it a lot slower... oh well, my monk's finally level 60 :) I'm currently enjoying him more than my 60 barb... but that's probably because monk is ridiculous.

For anyone having issues where the game drops you every ~10 minutes, I found a solution:

Simply join chat window on the left, and say something. That's it.
